Logo Research
Logo Research :

From the above image, i realized that logo should be kept simple so that it is easier to be remember by it’s audience.

From the above image, i realized that logo should be simplified and have less details. Where else using thicker strokes will make the logo more vivid and easier to be recognize.

From the above image, i realized that logo is now more friendly and clean compare to the old one. As it uses bolder color and lines which makes it more visually striking.

The Starbucks logo has simplified so much from it’s first version until now. Taking away all the extra strokes making it more simple and easy to be recognize.

San Diego Zoo’s logo changed the typeface they are using into a more fun looking typeface. Which suits their purpose more as the zoo is a place for kids to have fun and enjoy.
CONCLUSION
Therefore in conclusion, I think that a good logo should be simple and have less details as it will be recognize more easily and easier to be remembered too. Other than that, the color use for the logo should be suitable for their target audience to attract people. As the use of strong color and bold lines could be use to attract attention too. Lastly, a good logo should consider about the typeface they are using as well. As there are so many typefaces out there, designers have to find the one that suits the company and the purpose of the company.

Week 2
Poorly designed logo :

A STYLE - Wrong placement of the dots on the A that leads to too much imagination.

INSTITUTE OF ORIENTAL STUDIES - Wrong choice of image that looks wrong in many ways.

Clinical Dental - Wrong placement of image. Should reconsider how to place those two people.

SMITH&SMITH - Wrong choice of typeface. Funeral directors should be a serious job and matter. Should not be using this type of font and use a more proper font like sans serif font.

KIDSEXCHANGE - Should consider the pronounciation when all the alphabets are place together or use space in between.

THE DETAIL DOCTOR - The image does not match the name of the company as it is not detail at all and it is misleading.

THE COMPUTER DOCTORS - The placement of the mouse as the u looks wrong and is misleading for customers to see. As it does not seem proper.

KATE’S FLORIST - The placement of the images does not look professional as the write space are still there and the whole logo is not considered properly.
HIGHLIGHT - Not a well designed logo because a logo should be clear and gives a strong vibe. Where this logo is all blur out which makes it hard to see or remember.
