Yellow Wood theory!! SKZ comeback trailer!!
Okay here me out!
So there is a poem called the Road Not Taken and it uses the word Yellow Wood. The poem begins by saying: “Two roads diverged in a yellow wood.” So I read the poem and analyzed it and the poem talks about the paths of life.
The road not taken is the path a person has decided not to take in life and it is forgotten. And then the other path is the one the person chooses and its the one that decides your future.
Okay so as I watched the trailer I think that when they reach the lobby they see the path they didn’t take, since its the bad guys thriving and giving their speech without interruption. I believe that that path is the original one that was never intended to be changed. But then in the Miroh MV Stray Kids change the outcome.
So in the scene in the trailer where Chan pulls out a key that takes them to Yellow Wood, which I believe is the world where Stray Kids overtake the government. A world where the original outcome is destroyed.
I say that about the original outcome bc in the trailer at the beggining when they are going down the (H)elevator the numbers that signify going down are normal. But when Chan puts the key the numbers are all jumbled and the elevator goes awry. Maybe that means that they are travelling to a new path, a path where they can destroy the original outcome.
But why would they be visiting the world with the original outcome?
I think that this is like a prequel to the Miroh MV. I think thats why it is called a Special Album and also why the song is called Yellow Wood.
They first see what happens when the evil government accomplishes their desired outcome. But then they decide to reach Yellow Wood, aka the path where they overtake the government and change the system. They see what happens if they don’t take action and so they decide to use the key to travel to a path where they can change that.
This is far fetched, but I also believe there is some time travelling involved in this. Songs like Chronosauraus and 19, Maze of Memories as well in the first album talk a lot about time. And the Chronosaurus MV has a lot of symbolism about time travelling.
Okay so the reason I believe there is time travelling is bc in the original world with the original outcome that’s how the situation is supposed to happen. But in order to stop it they have to go back to the past and choose to take a different path in order to stop the gov.
So thats why they are traveling to Yellow Wood the place where the two roads are diverged, and this time they have to choose the path where they overtake the government instead of just letting them give the speech.
I know this may be confusing and jumbled but this is my take in the trailer and the meaning of the name.
