don't ask me to pronounce her name. she's literally the girl ever. she's 21 years old and from Guangzhou, China :> her hair is made from water (as shown in the picture) and she's very silly and stuff. Kabir is a friend of hers because of how well she does in class, and she's a top student in the entire acedmy :3 she is bald when she goes underwater.

Alma and Angelo Lorenzo - Squids

they’re twins from the Philippines, and some of the oldest residents in the academy. Alma is the maths teacher, while Angelo teaches english. Alma loves teaching and is very passionate; plus, she’s ambidextrous and can use all of her tentacles to write individually, which is very handy when trying to explain hard formulas that take long to write on the board. Angelo, on the other hand, wishes the school still allowed physical discipline, and smokes outside the building every time he has a free hour. he can’t stand Kabir’s guts, despising the poor physics teacher for being a single dad, whereas his sister sometimes gives him parental advice despite never having been a mother. They don’t get along great, due to Alma’s cheery personality and Angelo’s aloofness. However, if you could give Alma one wish, she’d wish for her and Angelo to be best friends again.

The Academy and how it works

Basically it's a giant castle where a lady, gemma stone (very creative name i know), houses the surreal and gets them there by paying their parents and promising safety from scientists that want to research them. 

Her daughter, Sasha,  was the first surreal, but she died and her spirit now guards the academy (which is basically a giant castle). In the academy, the surreals get taught how to manage their surreal qualities and use them for things like protecting the younger surreals or for harvesting energy to keep the academy running. 

They can get recruited as young as 5 years old, but don't have to contribute besides taking classes until They're 18. 

Dorms are different depending on your class surreal. if you're a mech puppet, you might find your dorm being a cosy woodworking place. if you're a bio water animal, there might be a pond in your room, or a pretty oasis. your room fulfils your needs, and sometimes you share it with people when there's many of the same class.
