Sorry if this comes off nonsensical but I like that CS has strong, interesting, and struggling female characters. Sometimes mlm stories villainize the women in the story and succumb to a lot of misogyny and stereotypes, and seeing brilliantly written girls and guys in this story is just awesome! The queer representation is also so well integrated to the story, and the diversity in personalities and character design is just brilliant. Thanks!

Good morning Wendy (or whatever time you see this) I'd like to know, do the little creatures at the end of every castle swimmers episode (the ones that give us your links) have official names? If not, what do you think the names could be?

They are technically a stand in for me lol. But you can give them names if you want ;)

I gotta say it’s such a small detail but I do truly love how the way Mouse’s hair feathers form and flow it gives an amazing illusion to textured hair/locs. It’s so creative!

Happy you like his hair! I feel like I still need to put work into making them look like feathers but still retain each of their own styles. Mouse’s feathers are supposed to be messy and wild so I think there’s room to add more texture.

When I was growing up our family used to have chickens with curly looking feathers so that came to mind when drawing him haha.

WOW Wendy!! I’m blown away about how creative and unique the Junk Wing world is so far. The idea of float stone and all the uses for it was amazingly intriguing to read about. Do you like horror genre? Ive noticed that you draw scary creatures and scenery things really well! like the creatures of the gods mouth or the angel skin. Did you have any specific inspiration?

I do love horror 💖 I enjoy drawing creepy or weird looking monsters lol.

Hmm I can’t think of any specific inspirations right now but I know I’ve definitely been influenced by horror artists.

Hi there! I was wondering what kind of references you use to draw wings for the Bird Boys, they're just so good!

I’m so happy you think they’re good! Tbh I’ve been wanting to take some time to do some wing studies and figure out the feathers. I draw them pretty sketchy atm haha.

And tbh I’ve just been collecting artwork I like that has wings in it and I’ve compiled them all into one place so I can reference them all at the same time lol.

And to celebrate another bird boy brainstorm, here's a more lighthearted question: Out of the bird boys, who would say "I love you" first and who would say it last?

I know the other boys will be in their thirties as well but I haven’t decided who is oldest or youngest yet.

And idk if I can answer the last question yet I feel like I need to spend more time with the characters haha. I think it would take all of them a long time to say it.

Season 1 was probably the most unhealthy I’ve ever been lol. I never left the house and all I did was work on the comic. I didn’t get a day off either and my body was always in pain. It was miserable but I was so excited about the comic that I pushed through it.
