People asking how the SHINee teasers count as cultural appropriation??? I know we aren’t dumb here, this conversation has happened again and again. When you have a concept that is supposed to be dystopian and use durags and hats meant to emulate black hairstyles??? How is that not offensive? This also isn’t the first time something like this has happened. SHINee is not free from criticism, they operate within the same problematic kpop industry that has yet to deal with these issues. The least we can do is not turn a blind eye to this.
