My newest alt, Myrlin Kimella. He was originally a bard in D&D, and I ported him over to FFXIV as a little conjurer fella. I don't know if he's going to be the WoL of his own universe or if I'll just have him as an npc in Wesley's universe.

But he is here, gummy shaped, and cute as a button! 😤

He lives on Diabolos, so if you see him, say hihi 🥹

"wow taking us through old content" isn't as funny a joke as you think it sounds. Always assume you've got someone new to the content in party with you.

Just because HW raids are now "ancient content" doesn't mean it isn't new to someone.

I started playing xiv last May. I'm ONLY NOW starting to go through raids because I finally feel comfortable enough with my current jobs that I can do that.

3. Who is their patron deity they follow and why?

Menphina! He worshipped her more back in the Wood. Events pre-ARR led him to have a shaky relationship with his deity, and then everything in the story made him nervous about gods in general. Maybe he's fine now. Maybe.

14. What differences have you made from the canon story? From their canon appearance?

Physical differences... hmm 🤔 I'd say that the viera "tattoos" around his eyes are natural markings. And the mole under his left eye in-game is actually meant to be at the left corner of his mouth, since that's where it was in his Pokémon SV model lol

Canon FFXIV story is there's only one WoL, but my personal canon for Wesley is WesKy cowol (Kyler's got his own canon solo existence, and you can read all about it here). So there are a few things we had to change or rework for a cowolly situation. "In From The Cold" is probably the most memorable 😒✨ Wesley got the weird twink instead of the lumbering meanie. This is MUCH worse for him than actual canon, btw lol

4. How many siblings do they have or are they an only child?

Wesley is the youngest of four siblings! He has three older sisters: Camellia, Sala, and Eya.

Camellia has left the Wood, and no one really knows where she is. Sala and Eya (twins) remain home in the village. They're the only remaining members of Wesley's family who have decided to stay home 🤔

He'll talk to every pixie EXCEPT his King. e_e

One of my favourite things I've done with Wesley's characterization is that he won't interact with some of his iMpOrTaNt friends because he's afraid of getting in the way of their responsibilities.

That includes Feo Ul, but only after he realizes he can just talk to them whenever. Before that, he literally forgets that that's a thing. He goes to Il Mheg FREQUENTLY.

He is an honoured friend amongst the pixies!!!

Feo Ul is SEETHING every time he comes to the First and DOESN'T talk to them.

Maybe he'll figure out his friends want to talk to him. Until then, he's really busy yapping at Smolsgardsormr about everything and nothing.

Wesley has a tendency to become bffs with people who have Big Emotions.

Have I mentioned here that Wesley's Echo has the secondary characteristic of allowing him to feel the emotions of others through touch?

And that it gets amplified due to the intense exposure to dynamis in Ultima Thule? Now he can sense emotions of those near him, within a ~5ft radius of him.

It's too much to handle at first, so he spends time with Nidhana to learn how to gain some kind of control of it.

It needs to be known that Wesley Frequently puts weird things in his mouth.

Because some of these places can be spoilery, I'll put them below the cut:

1. Salt rocks from the Lochs after scolding Yuyuhase and Laurentius.

2. Rocks on Mare Lamentorum.

3. Voidmoon rocks.

4. Probably several weird plants in Tural.

Another note I failed to mention:

xiv!Wesley's surname is Ashlocke. I borrowed it from my friend Allie and her wol Emi. We decided that in whatever shared xiv they're in, they adopt each other and that's why Wesley is Ashlocke. lol

canon!Wesley has a different surname. I've said it before. But I also didn't mean to lol There's a whole bit in Familiar Ties about surnames that I wanted to keep shhhh. Whatever lol
