Mayternity: Day 28

These days, it doesn't take much to leave you dead on your feet.

You're slumped on the sofa now, resting after the exertion of cooking dinner. It's hard to believe that you could get much bigger than you already are, with your stomach jutting out in a massive orb that hampers your every movement.

The wee one in your womb seems happy as a clam, though, if their movements are any indication. They particularly like to wriggle around after a meal, or if you've been on your feet for any length of time. Kicking, rolling, prodding, and fluttering, you can't go for long without feeling reminded of their presence. And now that they're bigger, all that activity makes the surface of your belly ripple and shift, too. Sometimes, you can even see the shape of a tiny foot pushing against the wall of your womb!

You smile, rubbing an affectionate hand over your active belly. As tired as you are, it's soothing to know it won't be much longer now.

Hugely, Hopelessly, Extremely Pt. 2

(Part 1)

Coby was pissed off. Why, you may ask? Well, despite looking like he was ready to pop since month seven, the stubborn son of a bitch in his womb had decided to take his sweet time and was now officially three days late.

So, yeah, Coby was pissed off.

“Alright, hear me out.” Coby said to his belly. He was sitting cross-cross in bed with his hands on both sides of his massive middle. “If you don’t come out today, then no video games until you’re eighteen.”

“Yeesh,” Tyson said, getting dressed on the other side of the room. “Little harsh, don’t you think?”

“Oh you wanna talk about harsh? How about we talk about your son kicking me hard enough to bruise last night. That was pretty harsh.”

Tyson just lightly chuckled and pulled his long dreads out from under his jacket.

“How do you even have room in there to kick anymore…” Coby muttered to his stomach. This late in his pregnancy, his womb was firm and entirely inflexible from how tightly it was packed. He saw on the ultrasound just a few days ago, the baby was crammed up as tight against the fleshy walls as he could be, yet the fucker just kept growing. “Do we have to wait a week to induce?” Coby whined to his boyfriend.

Friendly reminder that while our shared interest is the literal fetishization of pregnancy, the fantasy world is not reality. Pregnancy is not a gift nor a requirement to be forced upon people. Consent must be our most valued principle. Someone who does not want to be pregnant should not have to be. No matter how it happened.

We as a community owe pregnant people respect, and we as a society owe all people who can become pregnant the right of choice to prevent, terminate, or carry a pregnancy to term as they so desire. Fuck governments that say otherwise.
