Hi! I'm really interested in this rp, but I know next to nothing about Glee. Is that okay?

Hey! That’s absolutely fine. We’re not exclusively a glee roleplay, it’s just taken to quite a lot of the characters from the show! You’re welcome to apply as any character you choose (OC’s included). The plot of this group doesn’t follow the show in any way, rather it’s a simple apartment building in New York City.

A lot of players have created AU versions of the glee characters too, so again, knowing the plot and specifics about the show isn’t required.

Hope that gives you some insight into what’s going on here!

Would Dylan O'Brien be a suitable FC alternative for Finn Hudson?

I’ve never seen Dylan used as Finn before but whatever suits your muse! I think he could work depending on which age you pitch him at.

But by all means, go for it!

I have a question. What if a person's app doesn't live up to the version of the character the creators envisioned for original show?

Again, this is an unofficial and relaxed group. We’re happy with whatever interpretation of a character you feel your muse suits. Plus there’s nothing stopping you making an AU version of that character either!

For example, I’ve taken Cooper who had very little to him in the show, kept a lot of those basic traits he had been given but also put my own spin on him too.

So just do what you feel best with! There’s no objections here!

The only thing I’d ever be concerned about is if you are joining a family or including another character in your app/storyline that doesn’t fit with what a player already has for them. You’re always welcome to message players too!

All are equally good choices. I must say, out of my own personal preference, I do favour Chris Wood out of the line-up. But as stated, all would be accepted.

Can a new member apply with two characters?

I mentioned in a previous ask that I suggest you apply with one character and then see how they settle into the group. After then, there’s no objection to how early you pick up a second character if you so wish. That is only my suggestion though, if you really want to apply with two characters straight away then yes.

Do you have any fc suggestions for Finn?

Hello Anon! 

I have seen him played with Chris Wood. I don’t know if that helps at all, for other faceclaims I can suggest looking at Hollow Art as they provide a fantastic resource if you’re look for specific features for a character.

is this group friendly/active?

Hey! Yes we’re more than friendly and welcome anyone to the group!

As for activity, we’re rather active lately, but we work on a two week activity rule. We are just a casual, little group. As mentioned before we don’t claim to be official, we’re just here to play out our muses in this New York setting. 

If a player has been inactive for more than two weeks usually they’re dropped a little “check in” in their inbox to see if they’re still interested in participating.

How often do you accept new apps?

Whenever they come in! 

I’m on pretty much every day and you’ve got to be really terrible for me to not accept it. All I ask is if you wish to join a family, that you contact the player just to check if they have any pre-established plot. The app is in the submit, here.

It’s more of a biography card for other players to have an idea of your character. Again, it’s just a relaxed little group. No pressure. Just here for fun!

To be honest with you, we haven’t really got any. As mentioned previously, it’s a relaxed and casual little group, where players just explore what they want to play. We’ve never really been considered ‘official’, we’re just here for fun!

But to not leave you without an answer, speaking for myself only, I’d love to see a Sam Evans or Finn Hudson? As for face claims, maybe Richard Madden? (Somebody come talk to me about BBC’s Bodyguard...please)

Can you play more than one character?

Yep! Whatever your muse fancies. 

This is a really relaxed little group. There’s not really any rules, just a two week “check in” to make sure you’re still interested if you haven’t been very active. Otherwise it’s honestly just a place to play whatever character you fancy. 

From personal experience, I’d play one character for a week and see how they settle in and then pick up another. However, there’s no objection to you picking another one up straight away. Hope that offers some insight to our group!
