EVENT 001: ETERNAL DARKNESS

ALL ROMANTICS OF THE NIGHT ARE OVER the second the town turns dark. But it is not only the moon that is covered and lacking light, all electricity fades out of the city in an instant. Darkness covers the city in it's whole. Roaring through the night as the visitors of the masked ball leave the museum to watch the spectacle in the night sky, is a crash not so far away at the beach, and soon sirens and blue lights shine bright in the distance. A SHIP HAS CRASHED INTO THE CLIFFS -- an unmanned, old, wooden ship. Half sunken, half stuck in the cliffs, it's old and ripped sails flare in the slowly returning moonlight. One thing has appeared, and one thing went missing -- ALEXANDER CHEN stands alone as his second in command and advisor, CASSIUS, is nowhere to be found.

THE CONSEQUENCES

News reach the attending merfolk almost immediately after. KING MARLINHEART IS DEAD. All eyes focus on ZAK MARLINHEART as the news hit the attending supernaturals. But that is not the only death of the night. ALEXANDER CHEN finds himself enraged in the dark, after his best friend vanishes. When the lights turn back on, some are dead, some are wounded.

MINI PLOT DROP - LUNAR ECLIPSE MASKED BALL

Half an hour before the event sets off, every single supernatural in town begins to notice something strange -- their heightened sense of smell slowly disappears. While natural hints of scent stick to each person, their usual scent disappears. Everyone becomes a stranger -- humans and supernaturals alike in one night. Will it wear off? We can only hope so.

If it's a full moon event, how are werewolves meant to be involved/at the party since they'll be in wolf form?

hello anon and thank you for your interest! for this event, werewolves will not transform into their wolf form so everyone can participate. :) here it is explained further. instead, this full moon has an effect on vampires: gnarly headaches. ugh!
