A day before Ramadan I was praying to get some light Spring rain this month, I thought it would be really cool if it rained during Ramadan because I don’t think that has ever happened for us. The past three days it’s been drizzling softly on and off. A balm to the soul. ❤️‍🩹🌧️

" ما يُصِيبُ المُسْلِمَ، مِن نَصَبٍ ولَا وصَبٍ، ولَا هَمٍّ ولَا حُزْنٍ ولَا أذًى ولَا غَمٍّ، حتَّى الشَّوْكَةِ يُشَاكُهَا، إلَّا كَفَّرَ اللَّهُ بهَا مِن خَطَايَاهُ ". " عَجَبًا لأَمْرِ المُؤْمِنِ، إنَّ أمْرَهُ كُلَّهُ خَيْرٌ، وليسَ ذاكَ لأَحَدٍ إلَّا لِلْمُؤْمِنِ، إنْ أصابَتْهُ سَرَّاءُ شَكَرَ، فَكانَ خَيْرًا له، وإنْ أصابَتْهُ ضَرَّاءُ، صَبَرَ فَكانَ خَيْرًا له ".

Guys things have been wild lately. My life is stretching and morphing into shapes I didn’t think possible, but here we are, on an upwards trajectory الحمد لله

The past two years of my life were very painful and lonely. There were times when I felt completely cut off from everyone around me and alone in an unspeakable struggle. I prayed and prayed and cried and cried, and Allah answered. I am now slowly picking up the shattered pieces of my past life and trying to build something new, something that I love and value. I am also trying to build a me that I love and value.

Through it all I keep repeating this Hadith in my head:

وعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رضي الله عنه قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ: المُؤْمِنُ الْقَوِيُّ خَيْرٌ وأَحَبُّ إِلَى اللَّهِ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِ الضَّعِيفِ، وفِي كُلٍّ خَيْرٌ، احْرِصْ عَلَى مَا يَنْفَعُكَ، واسْتَعِنْ بِاللَّهِ، ولَا تَعْجَزْ، وإِنْ أَصَابَكَ شَيْءٌ فَلَا تَقُلْ: لَوْ أَنِّي فَعَلْتُ كَذَا كَانَ كَذَا وكَذَا، ولَكِنْ قُلْ: قَدَّرَ اللَّهُ، ومَا شَاءَ الله فَعَلَ؛ فَإِنَّ لَوْ تَفْتَحُ عَمَلَ الشَّيْطَانِ. أَخْرَجَهُ مُسْلِمٌ.

استعن بالله ولا تعجز has become my lifeline 🤍

Hello, thank you for asking about me🤍

I’m currently in the early stages of recovery from a health condition الحمد لله, and most of my mental and physical energy has been going into that recovery.

To be honest, I also kind of lost interest in this account, because I was hoping to find community here with like-minded Muslim women, but it seems this isn’t really the platform for that. Most of the time it feels like yelling in an empty cave. The community is, I must begrudgingly admit lol, more active on platforms like Instagram. I think I might connect my Instagram account to this blog soon, though, so I hope to find you all on there if you’re interested.🧡
