getting this stuff out of twitter replies, because it's something quite important to how i'm likely going to be telling things. also this ramble is about whether death goddess looked different when people were less technologically advanced (the simple answer is probably no)

all info about gods that i would reveal (or come up with in the first place lol) has to be known by some characters we're working with. so the earlier looks of Death (if she looked any different) will remain a mystery, because she is one - not depicted in any ways by mortals, and two - her disciples, who are the only people who have witnessed her, don't communicate with each other at all (and there's a reason for that), so any remaining knowledge would be long gone by now

so basically i like the approach of leaving out some information we don't really need for the plot to work, especially when it comes to entities like gods, because it makes them more of an element of folklore and something that nor we, neither the characters can completely grasp

c!dream is also called лихо ('liho', a creature in slavic mythology, personified embodiment of an unfortunate fate, brings bad luck. evil, cold-blooded and bloodthirsty, but very cunning and smart)

there's also a saying "не буди лихо, пока оно тихо", which mentiones liho and is close in meaning to "don't trouble trouble until trouble troubles you" and "let sleeping dogs lie"

some names dsmp characters get called, russian edition (with bad translation), because russian has much more flavor when it comes to nicknames and insults:

c!dream: гад ('bastard', also used as a name for all reptiles and amphibians), змий ('serpent' but fancy), иго тёмное (as an unjust oppressive power and the "dark times" under its control), тёмная сила ('dark force')

c!tommy: паразит, дармоед, нахлебник (all can be translated as 'parasite', also 'sponger'), гадёныш ('bastard' but smol), глист ('worm', as in 'a skinny child'), поганец (also 'bastard', but not that derogatory)

c!techno: витязь, богатырь (both mean heroes in folk russian legends, both used in an endearing way)
