i just really hate when me and the 15 other people who watch contenders notice a player and are like ‘hey this guy is pretty good they should maybe get signed’ and reddit starts playing a fucked up game of telephone where at the end everyone is like ‘wow this guy is gonna be the next faker of overwatch. roty and mvp in one. calling it now guys’ cuz they saw three clips of them getting a 4k or whatever and then when the player is pretty good they act like theyre a failure bc the player didnt live up to the unrealistic expectations they placed on them without ever watching them fucking play in the first place
