the corners of his mouth quirked up at the sight of approximately a year old munchkin cat rubbing against his calf with suji’s level of affection expressed through noisy purring, except this scenario wasn’t as strange to look at as the comparsion could’ve gotten at times. “how about this one?” he questioned natsu with finger pointed at the pet that was now lying flat on his feet. “minagam suits it, as well,” he pointed out, then looked up at her from below his large dark blue hood and continued with a suggestion once he’s rolled his back and lifted the cat up into his arms. “hey, hold it? it’ll look good with you.” it wasn’t that weonkee de facto did like that one the best, or thought the name would suit it noticeably more than the rest; it was way challenging to make a pick out of the dozens upon dozens of cats running around. this one was the only one who had come to him, though, so it’s scored the most total points yet by his book. it’s been great so far one way or another. he didn’t fancy crawling out of his rock too often, but sitting around constantly couldn’t have been pleasant for the laziest of introvets, and, unless it was for excessive physical activity, weonkee didn’t mind being dragged out of the house. even though he had enjoyed hanging out with natsu whenever they did, he was still just that, an introvert. he already noticed that he hasn’t talked much today and thought it suitable to put a bit more effort for a girl as lively as her. “several names into one, i like that; used to be my username technique.”

according to the clock, they had fifteen more minutes left until their arrival to the big apple. it seemed to be about time after the past fourteen hours they’ve spent on the plane. gam would’ve tried to catch some of the good old z’s, but her conscience put up an aggressive fight. she’s never cared for her outer appearance, which showed through her everyday looks without a fail. now, though, she had a hip lenght honey brown wig on and light, brown toned makeup sitting awkwardly on her features to go with a black cropped hoodie, shorts and nonexistent heels suji may have taken an admirable attempt to get her into, but she recognized a too big of a step and her usual white nikes swiped that idea off the table quickly. even so, she didn’t recognize her own self in the mirror in a neutral way after the session matheus and suji checkmated her in. she was ready to be gam again as much as she was to take over the city, dressed up as your casual millionaire new yorker. she opened her phone for the bit of time left just to get punched in the face by a notification from yesterday right upon unlocking the screen. she kept it there to share it later, but got distracted into forgetting by all the sudden events. “sia reveals she had a strong diarrhea after meeting donald trump,” she read out loud to hyunsoo sitting next to her. “that’s news content i'll eat up.”

“halfway there.” he informed her energetically, face buried in a paper map of the eldery as he was checking back on the way they had behind them, analyzing all the turns and paths they had taken and the ones ahead to ensure the mission would continue as smoothly as it has until now. his eyes made an eighty degree turn upwards in their sockets as he looked towards their finish line, the top of the mountain, hand just above his forehead purposely casting a shadow on his face to protect his vision from the direct sunlight of the bright day. “if we carry forward north and keep up the speed, we’ll get there before 2pm,” he grinned. “damn, i’m excited, natsu. just picture what it’s like up there. we’ll take a hundred pictures and it won’t be enough.” he let out a deep exhalation as his arms collapsed back to his sides, keeping his gaze on the way before them some more before it targeted his fellow to debate what he was considering while doing so. “we could take a break now, or wait till we’re there. as the wearer of the best shoes around here, you get to make the decision.”

“i have an open theory that you, natsu and yongjo hate the rest of us and secretly drag us along just to make us suffer.” the young man speculated, standing on the sand of daecheon beach that they had taken a three hour long car ride to get to, but that specifically, he wouldn’t have minded. he’s recently successfully finished the second most important test in a human’s journey and gotten his driver’s license; he would offer a ride to a stranger if he heard him mention needing one. the irony was, he had been that willing to risk his life to live the driver’s one. the technical issues came when the purpose of their trip had really peeked from around the corner and it was his turn to hop on the surf board after he’s convinced matheus to showcase the skill first and foremost. perhaps in hopes to delay his destiny, too, before it came to get him; first direct attack already being the tight, unholy surfing clothes he changed into in the public bathroom prior to his current situation. “i mean. that fucked, matheus. but you know me. i mostly thought i’d watch you and then join in only for the rehydrating at the bar over there.”

“yes, that might be it. i spent a lot of time with her yesterday,” he smiles, shaking his head as he reaches out to touch his hear lovingly, gently caressing it. isn’t in teu’s sweet personality to tease - only sexuality, in very specific moments -, and the fact that spending some time with his friend probably had something to do with calling calling suji out was kinda funny to him. “you’re amazing, okay? not only the ‘really good at make up’ part, hm?” matheus tries to assure him. he crosses his hands over his lap, curious eyes watching every moment of suji, trying to gather as much information as he can just so he can try to recreate those steps later when suji is not around - he’s always around, which matheus is thankful for, but still, it’s good to know. “uh, i wanna look like a happy king that owns a strawberry farm,” he says excitedly, projecting his lips foward just so his friend can have a better access to them in order to put lipgloss on him.
a flush crept up his smooth-skinned face upon receiving the ear-candy of a compliment from the guy he would’ve considered a best friend by now. he jokingly deepened his voice in an attempt to mimic gam’s in response, including the freshly-out-bed tone as well as it was possible for the person he was. “of course i am, i managed to make even you look good,” he huffed out a giggle amidst his still, once again heavily concentated expression brought onto his face as he dipped his pinky finger in the product. “i’ve got you. i once spent an entire day with natsu and when i was meeting minhee later, i accidentally greeted her in hindi—interesting how you really do imitate the people you spend time with,” he said. “it’s actually very hard to have your own character and ideas. just think about how many ideas one has that are really theirs. everyone’s just a mixture of who they’ve known.” he shared, as he’d take any opportunity to express the passionately gathered random knowledge he had about marine life and people, all frequently updated since he’s found interest in social studies when he was twelve, lying under a soft blanket with an oversized sweater, a cat in his lap and pouring rain outside his window. he sniggered at matheus’ strawberry farm remark as he began the application on his bottom lip. he happily assigned him the role with matching excitement. “yes, your majesty. it’s my lucky one, too; i wore it when i got accepted into college.”

natsu lets out a sincere laugh, moving her head to the sides to get the bangs out of her eyes. “it’s not risky!” aside from a slight back someone can feel when they do yoga for the first time, there’s not dangerous about it, if anything, it’s a salvation - at least, that’s how she felt about it. “it’s really good for you! i’m way more harmonized with nature and my spiritual side right now. plus, my back don’t hurt and i’m happy!” natsu pulls her hands together in front of her chest in a silent plead. “c’mon, my baby sunshine! i promise it’ll be nice, i’d love to have your company and trust me when i say you’ll feel a lot better!”
“why are you like this?” she sighed. “this is a battle, but my weapons are a couple of soldiers shooting from the ground with hi-point c9s. yours are nukes.” a person could’ve tried to keep resisting for as long as they wanted, but she already knew she was gonna give in. as overdone as the enthusiasm of natsu that seemed to infinitely continue since they’ve met was at times, in gam’s opinion, anyway; it worked like a charm when she wanted something. for some reason, it wasn’t even an option to say no to a child-like adult who was asking as happily as if she had already said yes. she paused for the span of a second to leave at least some more closing space for speculation, shortly followed by an eye roll and a “god, okay then, alright. i guess it won’t kill me, after all.” her mouth set in a hard line as she carried herslf on the grass and stood with all her stiffness next to natsu–last time she checked, the highest achievement she had unlocked was a front split. but, that was in middle school. that was a lot of time ago. “go off, then,” she rubbed the back of her neck, a thoughtful expression already on her face. “it might benefit me if i ever come across a thanos in real life, or in a zombie apocalypse.”

hyunsoo represses a laugh, pressing his lips together to prevent them frrom forming a smile. “really? you think you’d be good enough for sofia vergara?” not that he thought she was the epitome of beauty or something, but that was still funny to think about. soo heavily sighs, already annoyed because weonkee is making him move around when all he wanted to do is lay down - suddenly, grabbing the remote is the hardest thing in the world. hyunsoo grabs the remote sitting around and turns the tv on, and what comes up is a movie that he has never seen but surely heard about, brother bear, it seems to be in the beginning, with three guys running around while a song played in the background. when hyun tries to change channels, he gets stressed about why the remote suddenly won’t work. “battery died. i won’t get up even if you treat me, sorry. you either get up or we’re stucked with long haired men running around in the woods.”
he tilted his head to the side and simultaneously narrowed his eyes on the surface as he was trying to make an objective conlusion, as challenging of a task as it was. “i don’t think either of us is good enough for anyone. that’s why we’re here together.” he conjectured, giving himself a moment of silence to absorb the hard hitting facts and realities. in the end, he couldn’t say his life has been even just consistent ever since he made it as the winning sperm, as he would’ve, perhaps, preferred. it seemed to be going more downhill every year. he was sitting on the bed next to soo, watching cartoon, native american tarzans; it especially hit in this moment. he noticed his old mate mentally and physically struggling to get the remote and refused to help with that to begin with, let alone get batteries. he had just kicked his entire body into a sitting position and laid his phone down on his lap–how much more hyperenergetic was he supposed to be? “hmm,” yet, he let himself consider it for the shortest while. the shortest while had been the most wasteful of his day. he already knew the answer. “long haired men it is. i’ve seen this already–i mean, because my sister watched it a lot as a kid.”

despiste not drinking coffee, minhee really likes the smell, but right now she can’t think about it’s aroma, for all she can focus on is the way it turned her white shirt into a brown stained transparent mess and how it’s hotter than she’d expect it to be. minhee takes off her coat, afraid that the stain would get to it, and holds it firmly, as if it would transfer all her anger to the piece of cloth; suddenly, the warmth the sticky shirt provides is not that bad due to the cold air blowing in the building’s hall. she’s even more red now, the look in her eyes harsher than usual as she looks at him. she’s not an illbred, she would kneel down and help him, but now her pride is too high for her to do that. “i don’t know, just like i don’t know what i’m go to do to take this fucking stain off my shirt. don’t stand in the damn way, then. anyone could’ve hit you, not just me,” she sighs. minhee is too tired to deal with this right now, so she just walks pass him, going to stand near the elevator, hitting the bottom to call it down, not even sparing a second look at that boy.
“it was likely less expensive than the coffee alone-” he mumbled from behind her as she was walking off, on the way to, as he had found out within the next moments, elevator. he rose his eyebrows to his hairline, nearly, and hoped she was only visiting someone; otherwise, it may have not been the best of first impressions between two neighbors. irked at the unexcepted argument, he went to take the stairs instead, almost having let it go by the time he’s gotten to the fourth floor, which, with the help of his longer legs and a history in sports, didn’t take long. he already had his new roommates in mind, curious to find out what they were like. the guy he had been in touch with over texts and calls had a remarkably soft voice and a nice, gentle way of speech, one named suji. that eased some weight off his shoulders. as he was reaching for his keys, yet still with a tiny minhee at the far back of his mind, the elevator opened right behind him and showed a familiar face of a girl he’d probably remember for a long time from now, if this was their last semi-proper interaction, if one could even call it that. he opened his mouth slightly; he saw her enter the elevator, but why on earth was she on this floor? “wait, what the hell? how do you know where i live? listen–if you’re expecting a repay, you repay for my stuff, too. then, i could be down. if you hurried so you could ask me out, i’m gonna need space to consider. we’ve only just met.”

matheus watches as his friends exchange gifts and hug themselves, everyone smiling and happy. he was sad with the fact that he couldn’t travel back to brazil and be with his family, since they have a huge family tradition to gather around the holidays; right now, he’s the complete opposite of sad as he looks at the family he chose for himself. after all, his heart is warm with the fact that he’s with his most loved friends. “my turn?” he puts a hand over his chest, already smiling from antecipation as he walks to the center of the circle. matheus looks down to the gift he’s holding, trying to find the right words to start with his description. natsu is known as cry baby of the group, but right now he feels like he might be the one crying since he’s filled with so many good emotions. “i thought for a long time what i should say about my person, and it’s not because i don’t have anything to say about them, it’s the opposite, actually. they’re so amazing that i can’t put it into words. they’re so incredibly intelligent, i feel smarter just to stand beside them, and they’re a great friend. not that i’m saying that you guys are not, okay? but they’re just really great. they’re very thoughtful and pay attention to everything even if we think they don’t. i love to talk to them because, even though our personalities don’t match since they’re part of the testosterone team,-” he laughs “-i feel like i have so much to learn from them and i loved them bby all these different things that make them so unique. and i also think they should join natsu and i and do more yoga! but, it’s gam!” she happily says, as he was facing the girl the whole time. matheus hugs gam before handing her the gift, a lego plane and a special edition of a comic book she likes. “it’s not the best, you deserve more, but i hope you’ll like it.”
she already ran the calculations and figured that, unless matheus beat the game and got himself somehow, it was going to be about her. he had prepared one sneaky speech and, as motionless as she tended to be, it had moved her and fought a way out through her sincere, wide smile. “this was a spot on description of my entire being,” she put her thumb up and wrapped her arms around him, putting all her verbally disguised thankfulness into it, chin sitting in the curve of his neck and hands patting his back before letting go in order to get her gift. “it’s bees, isn’t it?” she threw a blind guess out there as she was getting past the wrapping paper; gam gasped at the real content, could even feel her own eyes flash a spark there. “hey, it’s a plane and comics. thank you so much, farmer!” she notified as she pulled them out of their container and held them close to her chest, happily glancing at matheus before doing what everyone did before her. go to minhee to switch the received for the ready to give and ran to the middle of the circle, that was. “right, i’m ready to smash this. i have a top tier person who also happens to be on the manly team; not only, damn. they’re just about a leader that i respect. we only do smack talk within our species, but since it’s christmas; they’re a very powerful soul and layered like an onion, all of these layers as much of a win as the next. they make up the praiseworthy vegetable that they are, and make them so fun to be around. they get through everything like it’s a walk in the park, too,” she smiled over at her person. “you’re a legend, hyunsoo. our blood pumping muscles love you.” she turned, got to the last man about to stand and shook his hand at a distance with an upside down, obama meme like smile. she gave in, though, eventually dropped the tough joke and pulled him in for a big hug. “don’t let it go to waste.” she pointed at him as she handed him a big, juicy box with a usb midi controller keyboard and got back to her spot.

natsu’s face lightened up in a way that looked like a thousand suns were rising in her face, excitedly rushing herself to give him a giant hug before finally opening her gift. natsu pouts, tears shining in her eyes as she looks up at weonkee, “that is the sweetest thing you could ever give me, i’m so thankful!” she says, on her way to give him another hug - she already knows where she’ll put her painting. after going through the part where she put her gift down and caughted the one she bought, natsu stood in the middle of the living room just like other people did before her. “before i start this, i just wanted to say something real quick: this year was really plesant to me, and most of it is thanks to all of you. you are all gifts that the universe sent me and i hope you’ll stay around for a really long time, i also hope that life will be gentle to all of you in this new year that is going to start,” natsu says, smiling so much that her cheeks hurt, but she doesn’t care about it, nor the tears that’ll probably ending up falling anytime soon due to her emotional personality. “anyway, my secret santa has an amazing aurea, someone that shines in many ways. they are sensitive and caring, and one of the best friends anyone could ever ask for, they’re very unique and talented in all the things they do, the amount of effort they put into the things they do and also the way that they always stick to their true self and the things they believe is truly inspiring. so, suji, thank you so much for being this giant star that shines in the sky of my life!” she adds the last part already walking towards him, throwing her arms around his shoulders and kissing his cheek afterwards. “here, i hope you like a lot!” natsu had bought him a full set of vegan makeup, the same one she wears sometimes and is actuallly really high quality. “it’s vegan! these companies don’t test on animals, it’s all cruelty free, because you’re an angel and deserve all the soft things in this world.”
suji had memorized her speech that evening and could’ve still recalled it from within the depths of his memory today. thinking back, it warmed him up once more. then, he was in between weonkee and an empty spot natsu occupied before and after her turn had come. she spoke and was in the right; the past year had been incredible. without a fail, it was never anything but refreshing to listen to her, as suji had realized, because she had her priorities straight and required sheer little to cheer up. she got his thoughts rolling. that could’ve been it, or perhaps the effect of seeing someone so bright so easily happy in a group of other happy faces may have done it. one or the other, soon, his eyes started to water, too, and eyelashes fluttered as he caught a tear with his thumb before that bad boy nearly came rolling down his uncontrollable smile. it stayed for the rest of her speech. his already weak state had felt apparent to an even bigger extend when she revelead whom it was about and, surely, for. he hasn’t felt so overwhalmed since weonkee showed him a picture of his parents’ puppy, and so he threw his arms around her tightly in return, picking her an inch off the ground and singing a little ‘thank you’ in her ear. “i’ve always wanted to test out a vegan brand, you didn’t even know!” he informed her eagerly, analyzing the box in his hands from all angles. “thank you, natsu, you’re a darling.” he then turned to math, standing a few people away from him, as to not delay the process too much longer. “since i already gave yongjo my gift,” he began, turning his head to his partner in crime and nodding it towards the open space. “you automatically come up next for the jump, boy.”

time seemed to have slowed down as yongjo was talking, the vague thought that maybe — just maybe — he was talking about minhee leaving her spechless, mouth slightly agape and the sensation of natsu’s staring at her from the other side of the room while probably smiling made her feel somewhat lost in her actions. after all the bickering and the fights over anything, she didn’t expect him to say such nice words; in fact, minhee always expect the worst of everyone, and that’s why she was so surprised. a nervous laugh escapes her lips as she hands her gift to matheus, asking him to hold it for a second just so she can hug yongjo and catch her gift, since she can’t do it while still holding her secret santa gift. minhee is not much of a hugger, she always feels awkward about her disabled arm getting in the middle of it, but she has to admit it is quite nice. she also realizes she doesn’t hate him as much as she thinks, and not because he said a couple of nice words, he’s just not as bad as she thought, though she won’t stop the bickering. minhee looks at the contect of the bag, that being the only time her hard expressions softened. “thank you,” it’s the only thing she can manage to say before she switch gifts with matheus and stands in the middle of the group. “my secret santa is…- first of all, i wanted to let you know that i can’t give nice descriptions like everyone else, but i’ll try my best. anyway, my secret santa is someone that surprises me a lot. i understimated them a lot when we first met, thinking that they were just another avarage person without an opinion or personality, but they surprised me, and still do. they’re really smart and much more deep that i ever thought they’d be, and i just enjoy to watch them walking around the house just because their presence, just like yours as well, is very endearing to me,” she sighs, turning around to face weonkee. “i’m sorry, i don’t really know what to say, but it’s you.” minhee presses her lips together into a smile, reaching the bag with his gift to him as she waits for his approach. “please, enjoy your gift!” she says after hugging him as well, and returned to her place.
“mate, that was shit but pretty okay, mate.” he teased, playfully poking her in the stomach as a signature lazy half-smile formed on his face. he returned the hug, gently patting her back as he rested his chin on her head for a short while before he went to tear the paper wrapped around his gift; it revealed all the assassin’s creed games avaliable. his eyes lit up and shrinked in size above his huge grin. “wow, that’s cool. thanks, minhee,” he flashed her a grateful glance. weonkee then, as excepted, went on with the routine there, handed his gift to suji and took the one he held for him. see, he wasn’t normally very thoughtful, but he overdid himself this time; if anything, he was satisfied with how solidly he handled the task. he managed to get a pair of dibbis and a madhubani painting of a peafowl, both shipped in early december from an internet friend native to mumbai. spending all day on social media turned out to be that useful every now and again. “let’s go, okay. i got the brightest one around here, a dude slash dudette who lightens up all the rooms. they’re this cute ray of sunshine that makes it easy, even for me, to socialize. i was happy to get them, because they’re the least greedy, and the best of all of you,” he swallowed a chortle in midst of reading the note he had prepared. “all of us appreciate what they do. and crazy lot. they should never stop being themselves.” he shoved the small paper back into his pocket, raising his eyebrows with face in natsu’s direction, aiming his finger gun. “i mean, this one was obvious. merry christmas, nat. of course it’s you.” he strode off, getting his stuff from suji on the way and pulled her into a bouncy hug before he placed the long white box in her grip. “don’t throw it into trash,” he glared at her jokingly. these seemed to be decent last words as he returned to where he came from.

“if you ever want to take up motivational speaking, i’d support that decision as much as any other, sir.” he went over with a chuckle and a shitstorm of redness flowing into his cheeks to receive the box with a thankful bow and a tight hug for suji. inside, there was a pair of jordans and a basketball, a hobby he mentioned wanting to pick up at dinner a few days after moving in. “unbelievable. thank you, suji. i’m really happy.” his grin stretched out from one side of his face all the way to the other. he handed it to his freshly employed personal peg, weonkee, in an exchange for a bag with content he had bought for his moment in the middle of the circle. “my person, ah. they’re the most difficult for me to describe, of everyone, because they make it hard to give credit where it’s due. they drive me nuts, but i guess they’re cool—sometimes, because they’re similar to me to an unsteady point. we didn’t kick it off that quickly, but deep down, they’ve continued to impress me since day one. they’re a very strong, motivated individual whom i admire, respect, and could even look up to. i should, because their heart muscles are bulkier than mine will ever be. they don’t take crap from anyone. that inspirational, they are; i do like them, even if all this didn’t quite roll off the tongue. they’re, too, a good companion and opponent, keeping me on my toes.” he glanced over at minhee, eyes lit and a smile drawn on his face. “it’s minhee. she’s great even if she doesn’t show it; minhee for president. she’s beautiful, she’s grace, she has punched me in the face before.” his speech switched its direction to the small crowd before he targeted the receiver once more. “come here, woman.” he gave her a bear hug, messing her hair in the process, and ran to weonkee to gift her the bag; three white shirts there, one identical to that he left a permanent coffee stain on, two with their own uniqie shapes and patterns, in case history would repeat. the job looked about done, and so he hurried back to his spot.
suji played with the silver glitter he held in his hands, spreading it on various parts of his face, neck, arms and collarbones easily as one would spread butter on a piece of pastry. last time he went down this road was nearly four months ago. he remembered that night clearly and in fine detail. he handed natsu his small, sugar dipped glass of gin and tonic with a small beam, so it’d be kept safe for him to get back after he’s finished his part in the circle, having trusted her more than weonkee to his right side. he walked in the middle with slight, unintentional hip sways and a box wrapped delicately in shiny grey paper; yongjo’s favorite color, as he’s once mentioned. strangers said he acted too much like a woman for a straight man, but he’s never considered it much less than a compliment. “i’m going to be a secret santa for a beauty with large irises whose fashion sense i wish i could copy,” he began. “he—or she—is a very smart person with set, interesting opinions and political views who is confident enough to bring something new to the table every time, as they should. i love listening to them talk, when they’re so passionate about everything they say. the self assurance is amongst their most prominent traits. they stand tall in all situations, handle work stress so elegantly, without breaking a sweat, and are gonna be a perfect fit for their future job. they’re also an active, caring, fit adult with a fair view of others. they’ve brought so much into our apartment and our group when they moved in last month. thank you, yongjo,” he found him in the circle, smiling when their eyes met. he straightened his arms as to challenge him to get the box, “this is for you.”

“shoot,” he swung his legs and put his bare feet on the light microfiber chenille rug, small bits of the funny fabric getting in between his toes. his loose grey pants that should’ve been too long for him to consider a purchase rolled back down over his heels as a white oversized t-shirt hugged the three top quarters of his ballet lean outer thighs. he raised his chin and swop a hair piece that had been the odd one out off his face with a pinky; he changed hairstyles frequently, but the thick, blonde and wavy, he thought to be one of the most charming. “heck, did gam possess you to point that out?” his voice in a high, he playfully pushed his man’s shoulder with lips in midst of releasing a sweet chuckle. he avoided real curse words as video games and movies that included homicide, thinking them overly harsh for his tastes – they sent uneasiness down his stomach that made them wrong. “’you might not be a god’, i’ve never had my self esteem under such an attack,” he reached into his drawer, taking out a small liquid lipgloss gathered in thumb sized tube. “i’ll make you look like one; a king with his best features highlighted. it’ll be pure work. this is our final step.”

gam stood in her spot, loose dark brown shirt with an animated picture of a spring tokyo city lying under pink skies in the front, almost covering her dark blue shorts a tan leg above her huge white nike shoes, watching the other with mid-intense sunlight in the face as she gracefully pecked the grass with a foot, then the other. she pressed her lips together and gave her a small wave when eye contact had been formed; she slid her hands back into her tight back pockets and felt her mouth working a weary grin upon the woman’s offer, “my original plan looked more like: get a degree, spend ten years working, and then start risking your life. i’m not ready to just skip the first two like that without prior notice.”

“too gay? you’re right.” he bit down on his lip as he began typing his offenses into the ugly page written down in a grandpa level css that made him cringe on the inside and thought, the hard work a man had to put into not being gay deserved more appreciation. his lungs forced a yawn through a mouth that he’d only covered in a pubilc setting; he was no sailor, after all. “let’s try,” he mumbled, sucking in a bit of air before he’d attempt to kick his body up into indian sitting style and succeeded, one more crack following as a physical law. he pressed his back against the wall. his straightened spine and back muscles had always felt like they weren’t attached to his body after the years he’s spent curled in front of the computer, working on a hump for his retirement. “i used to think that at 21, i’d be netflix and chilling with sofia vergara. you’ll have to do. turn it on.”

yongjo had only noticed her arm from the corner of his eye, as he’d notice a printed picture of a band on a shirt. it was there, swiftly slipping off his mind with no fruther value. the average would likely back away and let an incoincidence slide in a state of painfully apparent pity, but he carried none. an equal should be treated as such, as he saw it. she was a normal girl and damage had been done here, which created a space for a tempered in nature, well justified exchange between two people. he was taken a bit aback by her passionate defense, though, but just shook his head on the outside. “if i yelled, it would’ve sounded more like you. jesus, i don’t give a damn whether it was on purpose or not. how am i gonna read these now?” he bent over to pick up his former belongings, gave them a quick double-check with a sigh up his nostrils and threw them one by one into a nearby wastepaper basket. “you tell me. just watch where you’re going. it’s not a challenge.”
