Honestly, so far the information given doesn't interest me. But it looks like the next makjang will be similar to Red Shoes, Cinderella Game and Snow White Revenge. Where it focuses on mother-daughter relationships.

That seems to be the trend lately with KBS makjang Dailies. They almost alternate between mother-daughter themes/revenge and then your typical makjang or revenge Daily.

The only significant thing that might make me watch off the bat (if clearer, detailed information on the plot gets released) is that Lee Ilhwa will be a main character and she's one of my favourite Weekender actresses and Kdrama mothers. I love poised she is.

The only other familiar actor is the cheating husband from The Second Husband.

This piqued my interest. Also the same writer as The Witch's Game? If she's going to produce something as engaging as that drama, then I'm totally down.

Mother-daughter revenge is something KBS excels at, and the writer did a good one with her recent drama.

I am familiar with some of the actors and I know they can act according to the script.

I will at least check it out for the first 20 episodes before deciding whether to finish or drop it.

Love that even in this extremity she refuses to abandon him and he keeps being surprised. Which says volumes about them both.

Seriously, his continuing puzzlement over her not just dumping him and running. It's progressed from surprise she doesn't want to kill him to accepting that and surprise she actually wants to save him and would risk herself for it.

His shock! She keeps reasserting it and yet he keeps asking/not believing, because it's so alien to him ooof.

But the moment someone shows up, he's barely breathing but tries to gear up for a fight. He's the definition of the word cussedness.

Bonus. Because this drama is designed for me.

Oh, and this drama leans more into feet than TPoB adaptation did and that one was the literal foot fetish novel! This is what we deserve.

PPS Fuck you, random immortal, worried about whether Sima Jiao would destroy the world so putting a bead on him and giving him a nice name. If you removed him from cannibal psychos, it would have perhaps worked better in terms of not turning him into someone who sees no good in the world and wants to set it on fire.

I loved that his soul palace, however damaged, let her in. But not when she called him grandmaster or his full name but JiaoJiao AWWWWW But also - yeah his mind palace is a horror show and I looove her reaction to it. She really is a unicorn.

AAAA the way she feels his pain viscerally because of the environment. It's actually pretty neat how they get in each other's skin so to speak - him through truth spell and her through this.

Love that she's in black because it's his mind palace and he thinks she's a demonic cultivator.
