Cutie mark mention

I'm struggling with two things artistically at the moment. Completely torn.

With the most recent piece that I am working on:

This one.

I want to complete the suggested Yin Yang motif by giving Elias eye tattoos on his hip and down his thigh. HERE'S THE ISSUE.

A. I can't just do one on his flank without it looking like a 'cutie mark'

B. Since A forces me to spread the tattoo out a little bit further, that means that I will be committing to my Elias design having a decently large tattoo, which I will have to incorporate every time I draw him in a state of undress.

This isn't fair.

Been thinking about Jax a lot since episode 6

Like, look at his face here when Pomni says she's been learning a lot about him. He realizes that he's talking to her in a way he doesn't talk to anyone else. This is probably the first time he actually bonded with someone since Ribbit abstracted. He immediately brushes her comment off by reminding her that they still need to find Kinger.

And, I mean, look at his expression after Zooble's attack.

It's clear to me that he's not thinking about Zooble here. He's thinking about Pomni and his relationship with her. Or, at the very least, the small bond he's been unknowingly forming with her

And I've been thinking a lot about how he looked at Kaufmo's door

Or rather, how he avoids looking at it. Does this remind anyone else of his expression when Ragatha talked about Kaufmo?

There's something about his initial expression that's messing with my head a little. Is that... regret? Sorrow? Its hard to tell.

Obviously, we don't know much about anything from what happened before Pomni entered the circus. But I think that he and Ribbit entered together. I mean, they have the same rubber hose style, don't they?

Knowing Jax, Ribbit was probably the only person he's was ever close to. Maybe he just always liked pulling pranks on people, but they were more harmless with Ribbit. He didn't try to bond with anyone else because he had his best friend.

But Jax didn’t experience abstraction yet. He probably didn't think he ever would. Could you imagine how he felt when Ribbit, his best friend, finally abstracted with Caine not doing a thing about it?

Maybe Kaufmo tried to help him through it, only for Jax to push him away. It looks like there's a bit of sorrow there in that initial picture. Like he regrets pushing Kaufmo away. Then he pushes the thought aside and acts like he didn't care. But how about how he reacts to Ribbits door?

His expression is pretty unreadable here, but it looks like an expression of horror. Hell, haven't you seen him when Pomni tried to go after Zooble herself?

He doesn't want her to leave him. He's getting more attached than he wants to.

Maybe spending this adventure with her is reminding him of his time with Ribbit.

Maybe he's scared to lose her, too.

Hello Skyrim Players

Do you play the Dark Brotherhood questline? Do you love Cicero? Do you love corruption arcs? Well, I just started a fic on A03 called 'With Friends Like These...' I've recently recreated my first Skyrim character ever and decided to go through all his original guilds again, especially my favorite guild (Cicero my beloved) So, while playing, I thought to myself, "Hey, what if I made a fic about this?" and so I did. The general plot line is following my character, Linx (who is, again, my first Skyrim character ever so he has a weird name) as he finds himself going down paths he never meant to follow when he first came to Skyrim, yet slowly finding himself embracing his new identity. I'm considering making it part of a larger collection of works when I'm done, going over the major quest lines and side quests Linx goes on with his companions while facing his new found identity as the dragonborn. I'll post details about those when the time comes. For now, go check out "With Friends like these..." By lordofdemons on A03 if you're interested in reading about a Khajiit slowly becoming insane. The first chapter is out and chapter two is in the works and should be done within the next few days.

God i love his character so much

In episode six of The Amazing Digital Circus — Jax gets too real!

In all seriousness, this was completely fantastic to watch. It was such a good depiction of self destructive behaviors and Michael Kovach was PHENOMENAL.

His instant reaction to pomni hugging him was super telling. He wants to get closer to her, his behaviors show that clearly, but he fears it as well.

His regret after the outburst is also extremely telling.

This did not go as planned. He did not expect to get so close to her and have to push her so suddenly away. He didn’t want to push her away, but felt in this moment that he needed to, at all costs.

As much as he wants everyone to believe his actions were planned, they were IMPULSIVE.

As insistent as he was on telling Pomni that he didn’t care, that it was stupid to think that he might, Pomni was right when she pointed out that Jax wasn’t fighting back. He DID care.

He never hurt Pomni for his own fun at any point in this episode. His actions directly contradict what he’s trying to make Pomni believe. He hurts the others, so she might believe him. But he didn’t want to hurt her. Not anymore. The only time he hurt her on purpose was when he felt like he needed to push her away. But otherwise? He has shown that he doesn’t see her as something to torment. Jax sees Pomni as an equal, a friend.

His words are hollow.

Even his reaction to Ragathas “accusing” him of making friends with Pomni was extreme. Initially his uncaring expression threw Ragatha off, but once she was eliminated you can see that this is the moment Jax realized he was going too far — far past even his own personal boundaries — in forming a bond with Pomni.

Jax was lying the whole time he tried to make Pomni believe he didn’t care. He used all his tricks. Deflected with jokes, brushed off the intensity of the situation, made fun of Pomnis attempts to befriend him, he even tried to make her push him away first with the traitor bit.

Actually, he seems to be obsessed with the whole bit thing, don’t you think? The archetypes.

He thinks that fitting into the role of the circus will help him survive.

As if trying to maintain humanity whilst being deprived of it causes abstraction.

So he picks the perfect role to extract himself of any sort of sincerity or responsibility.

The comedian.

He uses it as a shield even if it damages his relationship with Pomni. And he tries to use Pomni’s humorously chosen role to his advantage, to get her to leave.

Pomni’s prying would humanize him. He would be too open, too vulnerable, too human. He won’t be able to play his role anymore. Or use it to protect his sanity.

If he had nothing beneath his cruel exterior, he wouldn’t have to beg Pomni to stop looking.

Jax knows that if she keeps looking, if she helps him open up, if she pursues his friendship despite his protests, he WILL break, and he WILL show her who he really is. He can’t resist getting close with someone because he — like everybody else — needs a friend.

So he had to make her stop.
