E-commerce on chat | Aiyo Labs
If you’re a multi-billion dollar business, like Amazon, you can afford the hundred of millions spent on marketing, promotions and advertisements needed to make these deals profitable. But what if you’re a small or medium business without millions to spend on billboards and TV ads? Can you get in on the action? Are there ways in which you can maybe even do it better than these megaliths?

Intelligent Automation : The Key to Your Customer Support Woes | Aiyo Labs

The people who keep you hanging for 30 minutes on bad music, then finally answer your call only to redirect you to another customer service executive and start the whole process again, have plagued consumers for years now. However, as much as we like to complain about customer service and support, the truth is that it is the key ingredient in making or breaking your business.

As any business owner knows, providing great customer support is always an evolving process with challenges all along the way. For instance, human beings have certain limitations in the sense that we cannot be presentable and polite to never-ending and repetitive queries from customers 24 hours a day. Yet, every customers experience matters, or at least it should. So how to do continue to provide excellent customer support each time a customer gets in touch? That’s where automation comes in play. Chatbots are available 24/7 and never get tired. They are patient, polite and always ready to listen to your customers. In short, automated customer service provides a level of reliability and assurance that cannot be matched by human beings. Having said this your customer still remains a human being. And as human beings we crave the human touch. With Customer Service automation one often runs the risk of making the interaction too impersonal or robotic. This is where intelligent automation becomes even more important.

Chatbots can be automated to respond in a manner that is more personal, naturally human and best suited to your business. Our bot learns over time, so that it only improves with every interaction and responds more naturally to all future interactions. So what’s the difference between our chatbots and business-as-usual? Let's look at a usual customer service interaction: A customer has a query, he/she calls a central hotline, waits for 20 minutes, gets frustrated listening to elevator music on a loop, finally gets connected to a customer service executive, explains his/her grievance to the customer service executive who finally responds with a relevant solution to resolve the grievance. This 30 minute interaction leaves your customer more frustrated than their actual grievance. Not mention, the infrastructure and human resources needed at the business end to provide this in the first place! Now imagine the same interaction over Whatsapp. With 1 billion active users every day Whatsapp already has all your customers on one neat platform that is perfect for one on one customer interaction. So a customer messages to a central number, the chatbot, which can cater to multiple customers at the same time responds in a matter of seconds, the customer then feeds in his/her query, the chatbot then scans its database and sends a response in a matter of minutes. And in those few cases where human intervention is needed, your agent can step to resolve the matter without having to rush through the conversation.

What about on a weekday when your customers are busy and do not have the time for customer service calls? Well, that’s the beauty of Whatsapp, they can just send the message and respond to the bot at their convenience whether is it during business hours or in the middle of the night. This whole interaction is built to fit into their lives seamlessly. It is built for keeping your customers in mind while making your life so much easier.Want a chat bot? Chat with us now! With the rise of chat applications, people are choosing chat platforms not just to socialize but also to interact with brands. Chat Will Reign Supreme - What The Future Holds | Aiyo Labs

At it's core, an app is supposed to help you get something done, as easily as possible. But with threats of data sharing with other companies, of lengthy sign up processes, and not to forget large app sizes and restricted availability in cases, are apps really as easy as they could be?
Taking a step back to what the world was before apps. If you wanted to shop, you went to the shop and asked for what you wanted. If you wanted to order in, you called the restaurant and asked for what you wanted. If you were booking a hotel, you called the hotel to ask for availability and booked.
We'd go as far as to say that this interaction, where two parties exchange information in a conversational manner, is what makes us humans, Human. With a surge of people feeling a sense of loneliness and depression from over exposure and usage of technology, conversation, is making a grand return.
A case in point is the rise and eventual out performance in terms of monthly active users of the big 4 Chat Apps (WhatsApp, Messenger, WeChat, and Viber) against the big 4 Social Media Apps (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter). To converse, is natural.
The above presents a limited case of how humans prefer chat. This coupled with the fact that everything can be done on chat makes it an extremely exciting space to be in.
We explore what three of India's Unicorns could look like if they were build on top of WhatsApp (India's most popular Chat Application) as Chat Bots.
OYO, Swiggy, The Rest
We'd explain how these apps would work when built onto WhatsApp, but the reality is, that they would in fact be much the same! There are several bells and whistles that each business can add to tweak their experience on this chat app. For example, Swiggy can ask their drivers to share "Live Location" (Order Tracking) with the customers and OYO may also share the hotels location as a map. A simple translate API could also make your entire database multilingual, something that companies such as Amazon has spent millions doing.
We think Chat is inevitably the way things will operate. Perhaps your vision of the future is different. Let's chat about it.
Flipkart (Ecommerce)
From a technical standpoint, you have four core actions - discover, select, purchase, and share location. Each of these features is available on WhatsApp and may even be more seamless than the app itself. Here's how it would work:
Discover - Flipkart has a huge database and if a user searches for say an "Electric Kettle", we can crawl the Flipkart database using a simple google advance search to list the top 5 products by relevance.
Select - The user can select an product by simply replying "This" or equivalent. A price is suggested and the user prompted to place the order.

Purchase - The consumer makes their choice and then simply transfers the money without even having to leave WhatsApp by using the built-in payment feature. No OTPs, no verification, no hassle. A user doesn't even need to sign in or verify anything, as all verification essentially use a phone number anyway. When using WhatsApp, your number is verified and can't be faked so you bypass a huge security hurdle in this way. Add to that WhatsApp end to end encryption, and your data is safe even in transit.

Location - Once the money is received, Flipkart can share a invoice and a user can share their location on WhatsApp - so much easier than filling in several fields of landmark, pincode, and on and on. The whole process is light, easy and efficient. Sure, there are some advantages to an App designed specifically for one purpose, but for a huge range of apps, this flow works beautifully. And, you'll save on resources trying to get people to download your app in the first place.

Making it Stick(er)
How we say things, is just as important as what we say. This is not only true for a face to face conversation, but also when we talk to each other on apps. But a lot of subtlety which is conveyed by our facial expressions, body language or demeanor is lost when we type.

A remark such as "Fool!" could either be accusatory, insulting, loving, or even flirtatious. You wouldn't however, want someone you are trying to woo to think that you think they lack IQ, and since so much love is found online, how are we tackling this as a society? With EGS, Emojies, Gifs, And Stickers.
In this article, we're going to take a look at Stickers. Their origins, growth, market size, and most recently their incorporation into WhatsApp - the largest messaging platform in the world. Stickers, like emojis, have their roots in Asia. The first emoji is attributed to have come out as early as 1999 in Japan but really gained traction in 2010 when they were made part of mobile Operating Systems such as Apple's iOS .
In 2011, Japan once again pioneered the use of Stickers, orchestrated this time by a Korean company Naven that founded Line in a post Fukushima Japan as a result of the strain on the traditional cellular network. They chose Japan as a starting point as their home country had a 90% adoption rate of another chat platform Kakao Talk. Stickers are used are a more expressive form of emoji to convey body language - basically, all that stuff that can't be said with words. Are they really needed and are people really using them? In the first quarter of 2013, Line reported that they made $17 Million from the sale of stickers on their platform - almost a third of their total revenue. This number has since grown to $71 Million in the first quarter of 2017. To put that into perspective; one chat platform generated approximately 1/10th the entire spending of the Greek government in one quarter from the sales of stickers alone ($71 Million). Stickers mean business. WhatsApp has just stepped into the game by integrating stickers into the app. When you receive a sticker on WhatsApp you receive a message akin to that.
What this signifies, amongst other things, is WhatsApp's movement from being a consumer product, to a platform. The significance is that anyone, now stands a chance to develop on top of WhatsApp and profit from it. This will no doubt come with risks as well but opens up the gates to a whole new range of problems. For example, stickers that encourage lynching or other ill motives. We love stickers and we love WhatsApp. We're working on a new tool to help ease creating your own custom stickers for WhatsApp. And, we're taking requests! If you have a theme of stickers that you would love using, get in touch.
