Every day I am overwhelmed by the way almost everyone in the global north redefines health away from collective survival and toward promotion of individualism and eugenics.
People will talk about "hygiene" and they mean extensive skin care routines and cosmetics instead of preventing the spread of contagious diseases through requiring structural renovations for better ventilation of workplaces, schools, & public spaces and universal healthcare that includes easy, accessible, free testing & vaccinations.
People will talk about "nutrition" and they mean promoting expensive, restrictive diets dependent on imperial food systems and the promotion of anti-fat and anti-black policies, instead of doing anything to prevent the widespread nutrient deficiencies caused by our government's deliberate, ongoing starvation of Palestinian people.

I can’t believe 1TB microsd cards are like a thing that exists, thats like crossing a line, thats alarmingly close to playing god, where the FUCK are they PUTTING it
#the continued development of storage capacity has always fascinated me it’s so sick#my niche associate’s that lets me talk about storage capacity and nothing else#it was funny in my brief geek squad stint we’d also talk about it a lot bc it was CRAZY that you could get a TB hard drive for like#idk 40-60 bucks at the time#but that was like A Hard Drive. for Your Computer#afaik (real) microsd cards are still in the 100+ margin but they probably won’t be for more than like a year or two from now#btw the answer is that we’ve gotten very good at making electrical components literally microscopic#the smallest component i’ve ever tried to surface mount myself was like.. i wanna say somewhere between 1-2mm long#i ate shit at it a little bit (big fingers shakey hands) but like#that was just from a practice kit for soldering by *hand.*#most major electronics producers use big machines to do this shit on a scale that’s like. degrees of magnitude smaller than that#shit is crazy

The thing about Timmy Chalamet is that he’s truly a great actor and he even has good taste in projects and he’s not even overexposed when you calibrate for how overexposed all that group of 25-30 year old big stars are……however something is still off. any time he gets cast in something it feels like that movie instantly turns into a parody of a movie. I cannot explain this
