Yay Erin and Ben!!! I have so many questions! How long have they been engaged?? She has a ring on, but hasn’t been wearing it. How long have they really been dating?! They owe us nothing, I just want to know all the details lol! So happy for them!!

It's so fun! They've been together for a long time but definitely very quiet about it which I respect. Maybe some more details will come out in the interviews for next season or at Christmas events.

Hope all is well with you and yours. Are you planning on doing a rewatch at all this Summer?

Things haven't been all that great, to be honest. My brother passed away mid-March. Work has been stressful lately as well. I hope you and everyone else is having a better time than I am these days.

No, I normally don't ever rewatch the show. I did a big rewatch with a friend who was watching for the first time leading up to season 11 (?). With making gifs, it feels like I watch each episode like 3 times while its airing so I'm not all that inclined to watch again during the hiatus.

The cut scenes from ep. 12 of S12 are about Henry. He's a grandfather and worries about whether he'll be a good one, but Joseph reassures him. Apparently, according to some interviews, he's going to have a storyline in S13.

Right. I think they made the right choice to cut those scenes and instead give him a bigger focus in 13 which I'm excited about. He wasn't really doing much in 12 so to randomly have that in the finale would've been an odd choice with everything else going on.

What did you think of this season overall ? Did you have a favourite episode this season ?

I enjoyed the season. I was happy with it for the most part. Episode 11 was definitely a standout. I also really loved Elizabeth being sick in episode 6.

Okay so I just went ahead and did it and watched the WHC premiere (not live of course even tho I know it will still count towards their viewership) and here are the updates if you’re interested:

Grace and chuck are pregnant and living in London but grace is having complications so Lillian is planning to go to her

Gabe is on a Mountie mission and it looks like him and Lillian will hardly get screen time this season

Cindy busbys character is Lillian and graces aunt

They recast Sam and are now making him and Maggie a thing (maybe this was also hinted at during the Christmas movie but I can’t remember, just that Maggie and Joe were potentially a thing at one point)

Christopher russels Mountie character is annoying and egotistical. Not sure if that’s on purpose or not, or if it’s cuz I’m not a fan of Christopher, but was not a fan of his character. His supposedly romantic moment with Cindy didn’t do anything for me

I think they only get 6 episodes this season lol

They actually have a surprising amount of returning cast, which is good I guess and let me see glimpses of the original season, but overall the episode was ehh like I was expecting

I think I got everything important haha

But also, if they can’t get Brooke shields back to play charlotte, Wendy crewson would do a good job I feel 😂

Thanks for the updates! I definitely have no desire to watch anyway but this makes me even more against it.

Wendy's character has similar vibes to Charlotte for sure. She'd be a good replacement. I'll be surprised if they do get Brooke back but maybe with the new people in charge she'll be willing to.

Melinda! Thanks for another great season! So thankful to have this little corner of the internet. Reading your post made me a little reflective on all we’ve been through on this show. Everything is working out how it's supposed to and I'm so happy about it. It's certainly been a wild ride to get to this point but I feel like we've earned the show we have now.

I listened to the Heart to Hearties you posted. I loved hearing how involved the cast is in coming up with ideas and dialogue they think would suit their characters. I feel like Erin, Kevin, and Jack especially care about this show and it’s in good hands with them!

Yeah, that's nice, isn't it? They're lucky to have writers and an environment that welcomes that kind of collaboration because it definitely doesn't happen everywhere.
