So I was once actually collecting data in a frozen river, and another guy fell in, filled up his waders and everything. He was wearing cotton (we were floored), and I had the car keys so I was like “alright, I’ll walk you back to the car to make sure you’re okay. Then you can strip down in there and get the heat going. There’s a blanket to wrap up in.” And he looked at me like I was insane. He said, “what? I’m fine.” I informed him that actually, if he stayed outside in subzero temperatures, soaking wet, in cotton, he was Licherly going to Freeze To Death, and he was like, “it’s not the 1800s lmao.”

And then while the guy in charge Forced him to go back to the car and strip, I had to stand there in a frozen river absolutely bewildered by the implication that a Wildife Biologist thought hypothermia is like, an old timey disease that people stopped getting at some point.

I think what made the Mythbusters special was this: of course they would always ask, and test, “could the circumstances of the myth produce the described result?” but they ALSO always took the extra step to “under what circumstances, no matter how extreme, could the described result be achieved? ” and it was fucking spectacular every time

so allegedly there were eleven scenes cut from the final episode which is why some scenes are very drawn out and unnecessary and they had to shoot additional scenes of jared in the bad wig + makeup because they had to fill the episode with something. despair title was changed at the last minute it was originally called the truth and it's been said much of dean's reaction in the confession scene itself was cut in post production and there's a rumor that dean says 'me too' at some point. episode 15x19 at some point should have had dean sobbing and screaming cas's name in anguish that was overhead from streets away during filming. cas originally had a different ending they're claiming was jimmy novak in heaven with cas trapped in the empty but is it the truth. misha quarantining for the final two episodes but not being in them. jensen's obvious dislike of the finale as shown by his complete silence. the entire deancas arc of the season where it was revealed cas's love for dean was basically the only act of free will in their universe and dean multiple times tried to tell cas something but he was always cut off before he could vocalize it and then none of this was ever mentioned again and neither was the confession. i know what this sounds like but something changed in those last two episodes at some point maybe even in post production and they decided to cut deancas endgame. because this is all so insane
