StartUp versus Big company
Work constitutes most of our professional career. Being part of a huge enterprise can keep someone busy and the work compensation is gratifying. I am an agent
They say that, after graduating college, the next best step towards personal and professional growth was to get a job - easier said than done. I spent my first few weekssending my resume to various job postings available online. I also went out and submitted my resume personally but I was told to wait for their call as soon as they have a jobvacancy. I didn’t have the luxury to wait for a job to land on my lap so I was relentless in seeking for jobs that are within my skill set. A month had passed and everythinglooked bleak. I was losing hope of ever getting a job and becoming a working member of society. The fear of becoming jobless for the rest of my life was gnawing at the back ofmy head. A week later, I received a text from a renowned call center agency that I was scheduled for an interview the next day. I was ecstatic at the idea that I am finally getting a shot at having a decent-earning job. On the day of my first interview, I felt like I was behind a curtain with no knowledge of what awaited on the other side and the only thing to do was to take a step forward. The screening process was intense but, luckily, I got the job. Working at a call center helped me grow as an individual and as a professional. The working hours aren’t what anyone would call convenient since work started late in the evening and ended in the morning the day after. Given some time, I got used to the work schedule and the pay was more than enough compensation. As a call center agent, or a customer service representative, being a productive member of society washed away the fears and doubts that I had and I am happy and content with the life I have now.
