Farewell for now
Hello to all those who have read or stumbled upon my blog. I hope that for those who looked at my blog have either looked into the teacher shortage problem or any problem in the world. There are many out there that people aren’t aware of and I didn’t realize that a teacher shortage was actually a problem before I started this blog. I have learned much and hope to be able to use what I’ve learned in other aspects of life too. I am not going to be doing this blog anymore since I am not able to go any further at this time. I don’t really know what else to say and my time won’t be as available as it used to be. I do hope the best for those who have actually read my blog and have really looked into this issue. There are many sources out there to help you learn more about this growing issue. I have posted some in the past so if you want to learn more and do further research, look at those and any other sources out there you can find. Hope you all can make a change in the world for the better in any way possible, even if it is as small as a blog like this.

Larsen, Brent. “Teacher Shortage and the WPU.” le.utah.gov. Utah State     Legislature. 15 February 2016. Web. June 16 2017
This source is from the Utah State Legislature. Brent Larsen sends an email to Doug Sagers talks about the problem with teacher shortages. Throughout the email he talks about the concern he has for the issue. At the beginning of the email he lets the Utah Representative know that, “ Year after year, we read news articles stating that there is an actual decline in the numbers of college students who are enrolling in our teacher preparation courses.  With the population continuing to grow, we cannot afford to have the number of teachers to level off, let alone to decline!  I also read in a recent Salt Lake Tribune article titled "Utah needs teachers, but college students don't want to major in education," that half of our current teachers will be eligible for retirement by 2017.  That's only a year away!”
This is a big concern that he addresses and tries to let the Utah Representative know it is a serious matter and it needs to be taken care of. I find this source to be credible since it is on a government site and Brent Larsen emailed a Utah Representative about the issue. He also acknowledges an article from the Salt Lake Tribune that affirms his case. I’m pretty sure he wouldn’t mention a non-credible source to a Utah Representative if he wants this issue to be looked at more seriously.

In a blog post by the NPR, they talk about teacher shortages in certain parts of the country. The questions they pose to the readers is asking if they believe it is a teacher shortage, or a teacher pipeline problem. I didn’t see a title to the blog, but the link is:
http://npr.tumblr.com/post/127151810317/ah-back-to-school-season-in-america-that-means.
What I like most about the post actually is the image that they have with it. The image shows these two kids putting up a missing sign that asks if anyone has seen their teacher. It even has a reward for what I believe is a teacher’s salary. I liked how it starts and how it really is showing that students are looking for teachers out there to help them in their education. They don’t really give a lot of evidence of where they found their sources. I’d love to know where they got the info to help me further understand the problem revolving around teacher shortages.

Missing Teachers
Throughout our lives we have been going to school to learn and help us to one day start our lives in the world. We have had help throughout our years from parents, peers, and others. Some of those people who have helped us to learn so many things we didn’t know before were our teachers. Teachers have helped us to learn throughout our school years. They are helping us to go into the real world after high school and gain more education. Some have had our lives changed because of great teachers in our lives.
Unfortunately though there are less and less people becoming teachers. There aren’t enough teachers that school districts are allowing those with no training to teach the future generation. We need to find the teachers that will influence the future generation and make a change in their lives.
