We need to learn history, especially American history.

Including the disturbing parts, the dark parts.

Lynching is a difficult topic, but it needs to be talked about, even if it makes a few white people uncomfortable.

We need to learn about the struggles of trans women, how they were murdered.

How gay marriage didn't become legal in the US until 2015.

How women couldn't even vote until 1920.

How black people couldn't sit in the front of a bus, or how black men couldn't speak to a white woman without being murdered.

How Japanese Americans were forced in to internment.

Slavery

How the Anti-Lynching bill wasn't passed until 2019, and the fact that people still voted against it.

Please don't let these stories die. People want to forget the past and act like it never happened.

We still have a long way to go.
