"yeah, no, that's a no from me; as much as i love the toretto family aesthetic, i don't do beer. tastes like liquid bread." an overdramatic shudder follows the words. "it's okay, you can say it tasted like ass, 'cause it did. had a reason, i can assure you. 's a bit of a long story though." a nod and then: "i've got a sweet tooth a mile wide so i feel pretty good about chocolate in my alcohol."

❛ sounds like a plan — from what i've gathered , th' last few times they've shown up sometime in the middle of th'night. so i'd bet we're in for th' night. ❜ she follows delilah up to the house, stopping at the front door and window to pour salt in even lines along the wooden frames , then moving to the two other windows to do the same. she then enters the house , quickly locating the other woman and assisting her in painting several devil traps. ❛ eh , smart thinkin' with the stencils. had a couple a' times back in th' day where my traps didn't work cause i didn't draw 'em right. ❜

" nice to meet you, Kelli. " she threw the duffel full of paints and sigil stencils over her shoulder, as well as collecting and loading her gun. " call me Delilah." she again nodded toward the direction they would be heading.

" i've scouted out this one house for the last few days and I'm sure it's where our sulphur spewing suspect is going to strike next. we're going to lay down a few traps, salt the doors ... then we lay low until they turn up to try taking anyone inside. "

" people're still doin' that? fuckin' hell. " she spoke while using her fork to split her dessert, " like what do they think is gonna happen if they mess with that stuff without a professional with them? like fuck, bring a witch or somethin' as protection." she sighed, and stuffed her face with the large cut of her slice.

" but yeah, i get it. ain't been up to much different myself. few impromptu trips thanks to some portals gone awry. pro tip? if y' ever asked to track down a rogue sorceress - don't chase her into any rifts she opens. y' wont end up in the same place."

a deep sigh is pushed from the wolf's lungs as she leans back against the wall behind her. ❛ rude, but you're probably right. but i'm too burnt out for ideas. i just worked a twelve-hour serving shift, i'm fresh out. ❜ another sigh as she leans to grab the half-drank glass of water she'd been drinking from a recently vacated table where she'd left it after finishing work. ❛ but if you have any great ideas, i am all ears, sugar. ❜

❛ so there is — ❜ she shines her own flashlight at the floor ahead , stepping around one of many holes in the rotting wood that made up the old house. typical , her cases always seemed to lead her to old , abandoned houses. this time it was reports of a poltergiest , and she could only hope that's all it was. demons were never easy to deal with , and she'd prefer avoiding an excorism if at all possible. while her partner was typically her oldest children , she didn't mind working with others. two heads are better than one and all that. but xander's words make her pause , flashlight swung back around to light the other's face. ❛ no — are y' okay ? ❜ she pauses a beat , watches him for a reaction. ❛ y' don't smell sulfur , do you ? ❜

❝ CAREFUL AROUND THAT CORNER, I think there's a hole in the floor or something. ❞ They're in a two story house, the sound of wood creaking dangerously under their feet the only thing outside of his heart in his ears and the soft echo of BREATHING. Xander has a camera in his hand, the record button flashing as they make their way along the 19th century home. Somewhere in this place was a nasty poltergeist, and perhaps even a demon in tow... The perfect storm for chaos.

He was THANKFUL he had a partner this time, Kelli leading the way into the dark. It reminded him of simpler times, that twinge twisting at his chest. A reminder.
