Appledore Station in 1964 showing a rare clip of a 2-coach Hampshire DEMU Unit bound for New Romney via Lydd.  The New Romney branch closed in 1967.  Sorry that there is no sound.

This derelict Canterbury Town Bus was photographed in a farmers field and is courtesy of Canterbury Library Archive.  Where is it now?  Anyone know more about it?

A remnant of the days of Steam on the SE&CR.  This ‘WHISTLE’ board was photographed in 2017, just outside Three Oaks & Guestling Halt, on the Hastings to Ashford ‘Marshlink’ line.  In the autumn of 2020 the sign was totally destroyed by a contractor team from Network Rail when they were clearing trees and undergrowth.  Such a pity.

Snailham Halt around 1959, just before closure.  Opened in 1907 and now long forgotten, this station served farmer workers and was located between Winchelsea and Doleham Halt on the Ashford - Hastings line.  No remnant of this little wayside station exists and these are the only photographic records I have.  The second image is looking toward Winchelsea.  More photographs always welcome!
