May I request fluff of Rouge playing matchmaker with Shadow and fem!hedgehog reader? She knows they have a thing for each other (with reader it's obvious Shadow tries to act like he doesn't but he doesn't) so she tries to set them up (maybe Sonic gets in on the hijinks idk)
Operation: Overlove
Tumblr media
Pairing: Shadow x Fem!Hedgehog!Reader
Genre: Romance, light comedy, Fluff
Rating: T (Teen)
Warnings: Minor injuries
A/N: Thank you for the request! I admit that this time I may have gotten a little too excited to write this fic. The idea was really cool and I loved building the whole story around it. I hope you like it too!

The hot midday sun was already high in the sky. The HQ corridors were bustling due to the lunch hour, with sounds of conversations, laughter, and heavy footsteps from the agents filling the air.
You walked calmly, dodging the humans in your path, holding your quills close to avoid accidentally pricking someone as you tried to squeeze through the hallway.
You picked up the sound of light wings flapping, your ears twitching in the direction of the noise. Your face followed, and your eyes focused on the bat, who was slowly gliding just behind you.
"Easy for you... flying over the crowd," you muttered with a quiet huff, dodging yet another group of humans who probably hadn’t even noticed you.
"Oh, darling, I do have my advantages... But if you’d like, I can lend you a hand," she said smoothly.
"It’s fine... maybe next time..."
"Well, next time, wait for me at lunch... So eager to see him you can’t even wait five minutes for your friend."
Immediately after hearing her words, your cheeks flushed deeply under your fur, your face heating up.
"I-it’s not like that! I was j-just hungry!" your tone came out more desperate than you wanted to admit.
"Hey, hey... I was just teasing, girl..." Rouge giggled. You sighed, exasperated, not liking at all how your brain reacted every time the black hedgehog was mentioned.
Slowly opening the cafeteria door, your eager eyes scanned the place—every table, every seat, every familiar face—but there was no sign of what you were looking for. Suddenly, you felt a hand on your shoulder, making your quills bristle and causing you to jump in surprise.
Your startled gaze turned to the side, only to be met with Rouge’s smug grin.
"Sorry, darling, I don’t look like a black hedgehog. My bad," she laughed, pushing the door fully open and pulling you inside. "Well, his absence isn’t a reason to skip lunch. Come on, you need to eat something." She grabbed your forearm, leading you to pick up a tray.
Your movements while getting food were almost robotic—your mind was far from there.
Slowly, you followed Rouge to a more isolated, empty table, sitting timidly to start your meal.
Your gaze lifted a bit, focusing on the bat again. She had her elbow resting on the table, one eyebrow raised, and a smirk on her face as she stared at you.
"W-what’s the problem?"
"Why don’t you just confess to him already?"
"I have nothing to confess..." Despite your words, your eyes shifted away from Rouge, suddenly very interested in the wall beside you.
"It’s obvious, little hedgehog... you’ve got something for him, don’t you?" Rouge’s voice was soft as she crossed her arms.
"Rouge... he... he doesn’t see me that way..." your voice came out almost like a whisper.
"Hmm..." Rouge murmured low, analyzing you closely.
Then, her gaze shifted to behind you, and the smirk returned. In that moment, you instinctively knew who it was, making your fur stand on end and your stomach drop.
You didn’t even need to look back—a tray was suddenly placed beside yours on the table, followed by the black-furred figure sitting down and sighing.
"...You came to lunch early today," he observed, not lifting his eyes from his tray.
"Oh yeah, let’s say [Y/N] here couldn’t wait to see something." Rouge teased, winking at you, making your face flush deeply again.
"Something?..." Shadow’s red eyes locked onto Rouge as he asked curiously.
"Yes, yes. Want me to describe this something for you? Let’s see, he’s kinda short..." She started counting on her fingers, beginning to describe, but didn’t get far.
"R-Rouge... Didn’t you say the commander had a mission for you?" you said quickly, hating how desperate your voice sounded.
The bat blinked once, then twice at you, realizing how embarrassed you were, and gave you a tender smile.
"True... Let’s see, where to start..." Rouge’s eyes discreetly focused on Shadow, noticing the confusion and a bit of curiosity in his expression. He quickly masked it, subtly shaking his head and grabbing a spoon to eat.
And for several long minutes of lunch, the mood remained the same—a slow, almost timid conversation between you and Rouge, while Shadow stayed silent, eyes on his food.
"You know... we could all go out together someday, right?" Rouge suggested softly, seeing your eyes widen at the idea.
"Depends on the place..." Shadow said quietly, crossing his arms over his chest.
"Relax, handsome, we’ll find a nice spot. What do you say?" She looked at you hopefully. Shadow also glanced at you, making you nervous. The intensity of his gaze made your heart race.
Suddenly, you stood from the chair, surprising them both.
"Sounds great... Let’s plan it sometime..." you said, but you didn’t look at either of them, quickly grabbing your tray and leaving, unable to stay without feeling like your heart would burst.
The bat observed you, carrying your tray. Then, her gaze focused on Shadow—his body subtly turned, crimson eyes following your every movement as you walked away. Rouge noticed when he clenched his own arm but quickly relaxed the grip, letting out a quiet "hmph" and looking back at her.
Shadow noticed Rouge staring at him and raised an eyebrow.
"What?" his voice was low, and if it weren’t for the constant noise of the cafeteria, Rouge could swear it cracked a little.
"Nothing, nothing... Well, I’m heading out too. See you around, Shadow." She got up, picked up her tray, and started walking the same path you had taken.
She placed her tray in the right spot, still watching Shadow from the corner of her eye, seeing how silent he was—arms crossed and eyes closed.
"Two blockheads with a mutual crush, huh? Sounds like a job for me..." she whispered to herself with a smirk. "Time to start Operation: Overlove."
--*--
Your gloved hands flipped through a book rhythmically, but even though your eyes scanned the words, none of it made sense. Your mind couldn’t form ideas or sentences from the pages.
Closing the book with a thud, you tossed it to the side of the mattress as your body curled slightly, turning inward.
Suddenly, your ears twitched toward the sound of soft static from your wrist communicator.
"Rouge to [Y/N], do you copy?" the bat’s voice came through the static.
"Copy. Go ahead," you lifted your arm, speaking close to your wrist where the communicator was.
"The Commander just gave us a new mission. I already gathered Shadow and Omega. Can you come to the office?"
Your eyes widened. The thought of going on another mission with Shadow already made you break into a cold sweat—afraid of messing everything up, of doing something wrong and making him angry.
But in the end, it was all just work, and you couldn’t refuse.
"Understood... I’m on my way." With a push from your legs, you sat up in bed, took a deep breath, and stood, getting ready to head to the office.
--*--
The office door creaked open, revealing your figure. You took a hesitant step inside, scanning the surroundings, not seeing anyone at first—though you could already hear muffled voices from the meeting room.
Letting out a quiet sigh, you did a few small hops, as if warming up.
"Alright... I got this, it’ll be fine..." After your self-motivation, you followed the sound of voices down the hall. From afar, you could see the meeting room door open. Swallowing hard, you stopped at the doorway, scanning the room.
The first thing your eyes focused on was the red stripe on his quills—Shadow was sitting with his back to the door. On the opposite side of the table, Rouge was relaxed in her chair, casually reapplying her lipstick. Behind her, Omega stood still.
When she saw you, Rouge broke into a wide smile, putting her makeup down on the table.
"Look who’s here... Right on time. Our little star—just missing you." At her words, the black hedgehog suddenly froze in place, not even seeming to breathe. He didn’t look at you—he just stayed still.
"...Sorry I’m late... I took a bit to prep my gear..." you gave a timid smile, tapping your belt pouch to show you were mission-ready.
"No problem, dear, take a seat—there’s a spot next to Shadow." She winked quickly at you, making you blush on the spot.
With slow steps, you walked over to his side, pulling out the chair to sit down, your hands resting timidly on your thighs.
"Everyone’s here, now I’ll go over the mission..." Her tone turned more serious. "The Commander received an important tip from our informants. It seems there’s a well-known wanted criminal staying at a hotel in Station Square..."
Your eyes widened at her first words about the mission.
"He’s a cunning wild boar Mobian... being cautious won’t be enough. If he even suspects he’s being followed or anything like that, it could ruin the mission and spell failure for us..."
"Get to the point..." Shadow said quietly.
"...We’ll have to use disguises," she said with a sly grin. Shadow simply raised his hand to his forehead, rubbing his temple.
"Is this serious?" you asked, already feeling a little insecure.
"Mhm, orders from the Commander. He asked for two agents in the rear and two undercover in the field, gathering information on the criminal and preparing to confront and arrest him." She gestured with her hands as she spoke.
"And what kind of disguises?" you asked, but instantly regretted it upon seeing Rouge’s mischievous expression.
"Honeymoon couple," she said naturally, chuckling softly.
Beside you, Shadow’s eyes widened, his breath catching for a second.
"You’ve got to be kidding..." you murmured. "This is a joke, right?" you said, indignant.
"Want to ask the Commander yourself?" the bat crossed her arms.
"No... Fine... I guess you and Shadow can go undercover, I’ll stay in the rear with Omega..." you averted your eyes.
"Sweetheart, no, no, I’m not the one going in disguise." Rouge giggled.
"But how come?" you raised an eyebrow, trying to control the nervousness and anxiety rising in your voice.
"Girl... There are plenty of reasons. First..." She started counting on her fingers. "I can fly—I can provide aerial support for you and step in if needed..." She raised another finger. "And you two are both hedgehogs. I’m sure a hedgehog couple looks far more convincing."
You swallowed hard, not knowing how to respond, feeling quite cornered but with a strange sense of anticipation for this mission.
"Shadow... What do you think?" Rouge turned to him.
For a moment, your stomach dropped again. He’d probably refuse. Shadow wasn’t the type of guy to accept this kind of thing, so there was no reason to expect...
"Sounds good." At his words, your eyes couldn’t help but widen, and your jaw dropped—Shadow had accepted, just like that.
"Great, handsome. I’ll add a feminine touch to the clothes you two will wear. How about you go grab a coffee while I prep everything?" Rouge said excitedly, clapping her hands and crossing her legs in her chair.
Nodding, the two of you stood up and silently walked out the door.
Rouge watched closely as you walked away. When she heard voices in the break room, she turned to Omega.
"Omega, our Operation has just begun... Your mission will be to ensure by all means that nothing external interferes with our success. Our success rate must be 100%."
The robot stepped forward.
"Mission assigned. Objective confirmed. 100% success required. I will ensure no external factor acts as an obstacle."
"Perfect, you’re a sweetheart. Let’s go—we’ve got some fancy clothes to organize." She jumped out of the chair, giving a few pats to Omega’s metal plates before walking down the hallway toward the closet.
--*--
You focused on your own reflection in the hot coffee inside the cup, your hands securely wrapped around the porcelain piece. Sighing, you looked at Shadow as he took a sip of his espresso.
"...I usually prefer coffee beans... but this one’s not bad at all," he commented in his raspy voice.
"You’re right... Rouge’s new coffee machine works miracles, huh?" You smiled at him, feeling uneasy. "Shadow... about this mission..." You gathered some courage and began to speak.
"Yes?" He waited for you to continue.
"I hope things don’t get weird between us." You scratched your neck. For a second, you thought you saw his expression soften, but then he started talking.
"Never... This is strictly professional. No need to worry."
"Good..." You looked away a bit, hating how nervous and lost you always felt talking to him.
Before any other word could be exchanged, heavy footsteps and the sound of wings flapping echoed in the hallway.
"There you are! My two favorite Agents!" Rouge appeared, accompanied by Omega, carrying boxes of clothes that were placed on the table. You and Shadow stepped closer to get a better look.
"So these are our disguises then..." You held up a dazzling dress that looked expensive. "They seem a bit... too fancy for disguises, don’t you think?"
"The more convincing, the better!" the bat laughed. "Get dressed and get ready—we’re starting the mission tonight. I’ll show you where the hotel is. The Commander already reserved the room—three nights, with breakfast, lunch, and dinner included. You got lucky." You chuckled softly at her words.
"Really, it all seems so fancy... But if it’s for the success of the mission, then I’ll go along with it..." You looked softly at Shadow. You both nodded at the idea and began sorting through the clothes.
"Omega, why don’t you help Shadow—use your best fashion protocols. I’ll accompany our dear [Y/N]." Rouge gave you a few pats on the back, already pulling you out of the break room and hurrying you toward the office’s women’s changing room.
--*--
You looked at your reflection in the mirror, your ears flat against your head as you sighed.
"Rouge... this one doesn’t look good, don’t you have another dress?"
"Darling... that’s the third one, and they all looked great on you." She scratched her chin, placing one hand on her hip, observing the fabric carefully.
"I don’t know... I feel like none of them suit me..."
"I know you want to look as pretty as possible for Shadow..." the bat laughed, shaking her head.
"That’s not it..." You hugged your own arm, averting your gaze.
"How about... this one..." Rouge turned around, digging through the pile of clothes and picking up a long black dress with red details.
Immediately, your eyes lit up at the style of the dress. No words were needed for Rouge to realize you liked it.
"Hmmm... So the idea of matching with him excites you, huh?" She laughed, tossing the dress to you. "Put it on—I’ve got the perfect pair of shoes for you."
Nodding, you began putting on the outfit, already anxious to see Shadow’s reaction.
--*--
The black hedgehog slowly spun in front of the mirror, observing his outfit. The dark black suit fit snugly. He adjusted the front of the blazer, fixing his tie.
"Omega... Fashion sensors..." His red eyes focused on the robot.
"Based on my analysis of current fashion trends, you look like a successful lawyer..." Omega said, taking a deliberate step forward.
"...Not the answer I was expecting, but it’ll do..." Shadow straightened the black gloves he’d put on, being careful with the Inhibitor Rings. The steps from his black-brown boots echoed as he walked.
"Vital signs appear to be accelerating suddenly. Should I activate emergency mode?" The robot scanned Shadow, declaring.
"That must be a sensor error..." the hedgehog replied gruffly, annoyed, brushing his hand over the suit to smooth out the wrinkles. "I have to admit... Rouge has some fine clothes. They even seem like they were made for me..."
"Origin of the clothes: inconclusive. Classified information," Omega stated.
"...Classified, huh?" Shadow raised an eyebrow. "Who assigned this mission to Rouge?"
"Mission delegated by Commander Abraham Towers... Further information is classified."
"I figured she’d be hiding something... Curious mission. I’ve never heard of a criminal lying low for days at a luxury hotel in a big city without getting arrested immediately..." Shadow’s eyes focused on Omega, suspicious.
"...True origin of mission classified… time remaining, and success margin dwindling. Necessary to proceed immediately." Omega extended his hands, beginning to push Shadow by the shoulders out of the room.
The hedgehog stumbled a little but followed the path back to the break room, even though he had more questions than answers.
--*--
He leaned against the break room counter, arms crossed, ears twitching slightly. His eyes focused on the small window overlooking the city and the orange sky of late afternoon.
Suddenly, footsteps were heard. He subtly turned his head to observe, seeing Rouge enter first, a smug little smile on her muzzle. Then, right after, Shadow felt his breath hitch when he saw you come in.
The black and red dress, which matched the color of his quills so well, made his eyes focus on you intently.
“She’s all ready, Shadow. You can start acting like the lovey-dovey couple now. I’ll take you two to the hotel—I bet you’ll ace this mission!” Rouge said excitedly, throwing an arm around your shoulder and pushing you toward Shadow.
The hedgehog’s expression remained impassive, arms crossed, rigid posture as he leaned against the counter.
“...Right... We’d better go soon, we don’t want to lose sight of the criminal...” he said quietly and hoarsely.
Your face was burning hot, and you quickly looked away, focusing timidly on the floor.
“You’re right, we better go... We can’t delay solving this...”
--*--
Behind some taller vegetation next to the hotel, you observed the luxurious entrance. Rich and famous people came and went constantly.
Swallowing hard, you stepped back a little, looking at your team.
“Well, are you two ready?” Rouge said cheerfully, seeing you and Shadow nod. “Great... but just so you know, you might not find the criminal today. Today is just for you two to get adapted and kick off the mission.” The bat explained.
“Alright, I guess we can go, then...” You turned and began walking alone.
“Hold it right there, missy!” Rouge called out. “Wanna ruin the plan before it even starts?” She walked up to you, grabbing your arm and pulling you back.
“W-what?”
She dragged you to Shadow’s side, then abruptly grabbed his arm too, pulling and intertwining your arms, bringing you very close together.
“Remember, you two are a couple! Act like it!” She said with her hands on her hips, watching your blushing face and wide eyes with amusement, while Shadow remained impassive.
“...Rouge is right... it’s part of the plan. Let’s go...” He gently pulled you along by the intertwined arm, starting to walk toward the entrance.
“Good luck to you both. If you need anything, you know the channel I’m on. And remember—room 230, don’t forget.” She said at last, turning to Omega. “Come with me, we need to find a good spot above the lobby to watch this.”
“Understood. Activating action mode for Operation: Overlove,” the robot said deeply, starting to follow Rouge with heavy steps.
--*--
Your steps were almost in sync. Shadow walked patiently by your side, your arms still linked. He kept his pace slow to match yours as you walked through the grand hotel lobby.
“...Keep an eye out for the suspect... let me know if you spot anyone suspicious...” He leaned down slightly to whisper in your ear, making your quills bristle.
“Y-yeah... I’ll let you know if I see anything,” you stammered, swallowing hard, continuing the path toward the hotel reception and stopping in front of the counter.
The human receptionist looked at the two of you with a sweet smile.
“Good evening, welcome to the Confort Hotel. How can I help you?”
“We have a reservation here...” Shadow said, his voice coming out softer. You looked at him curiously, trying to keep a confident posture despite feeling like you were about to faint from nervousness.
“What name is the reservation under?” She glanced at the monitor in front of her.
The hedgehog looked at you, confused. You shrugged, also not knowing what name it was under. Sighing, Shadow decided to try the most likely option.
“Shadow the Hedgehog...”
“Perfect, room 230...” She turned, grabbing a keycard and placing it on the counter. Shadow reached out, almost on tiptoes, to grab the card and turned around.
“Thank you...” he said quietly.
“Have a lovely honeymoon!” the receptionist said cheerfully, waving her hand. You and Shadow nodded softly. You smiled, even though your palms were starting to sweat excessively.
Above the lobby, sharp eyes were watching the scene closely, a feminine giggle echoing in the nearly empty upper floor.
Rouge raised her wrist and spoke into the communicator.
“You’re doing so well... Wow, Oscar-worthy performance, Shadow...” She laughed.
Static crackled through both your communicators just as you entered the elevator.
“...Rouge...” Shadow said with a sigh, closing his eyes. “I hope the room you picked is at least good...” he muttered.
“Don’t worry, it accommodates both of you perfectly. You’re going to love it. Rouge out.” She turned off the communicator, leaving the two of you dumbfounded, staring at your wrists in surprise.
“Should we be worried?” you asked him.
“...Not for now. If the room’s bad, we’ll deal with her later.” He crossed his arms.
--*--
The two of you stood frozen, eyes wide in disbelief at the interior of the room. In the center, a huge double bed occupied almost the entire space. There was no other bed in sight, only a couch that didn’t look remotely comfortable to sleep on.
“What do we do?” you asked Shadow, your voice nearly desperate.
Sighing, he raised his wrist, speaking into the communicator.
“Rouge? Do you read me? What the hell is this supposed to mean?” Static came through, but there was no response. “Rouge, answer me!” Shadow’s voice came out louder than he intended, now almost desperate too.
When no response came, the hedgehog just sighed.
“I’ll sleep on the couch. Make yourself comfortable in the bed.” He turned and headed for the couch. Your eyes followed him as he slowly removed his outfit, unbuttoning and loosening the tie.
For some reason, the scene made your heart race. Even though it was normal for Mobians to go around without clothes, something about this stirred you in an inexplicable way.
Taking a deep breath, you rushed over to him.
“Shadow, take the bed. I’m shorter than you—I’ll fit better on the couch,” you said, seeing his impassive expression as he removed the undershirt.
“...No way. I won’t let you sleep in such an uncomfortable place.” He folded the black shirt with skill, placing it on the side table. Then, with a soft huff, he lay down, grabbing a pillow to rest his head and adjusting his quills. “...Good night.”
Sighing, you nodded, going to the bed. You decided to keep the dress on, as long as it wouldn’t get too wrinkled by morning.
But not even a minute passed before you heard the intense rustling of fur and quills against the couch fabric, accompanied by frustrated grunts.
Opening one eye, you looked over. Shadow was restless, unable to find a comfortable position to sleep on that awful couch.
“...Shadow...” you called.
“...What?” he replied, his voice slightly muffled.
“The bed... it has plenty of space. I wouldn’t mind... I trust you...”
You got no immediate reply—only silence. You figured he had rejected the offer, so you just turned back to try to sleep.
Until you felt the mattress sink beside you. Your eyes flew open wide as you looked to the side, seeing Shadow slowly sliding under the covers.
“...Just for tonight... Rouge owes me big for this...”
You laughed.
“We’ll get back at her tomorrow.”
With a sigh at your words, Shadow turned to sleep, finally dozing off.
--*--
Humming softly, Rouge brought a spoonful of sundae to her mouth, savoring the sweet flavor. Her eyes focused on Omega.
“I think they’re gonna be pretty mad and embarrassed when they see the suite I picked for them.” She laughed.
“Mission progress at 40%. Next step pending.” The robot analyzed.
“Oh, the next step is arriving now...” she said with a sly grin.
At that very moment, a strong breeze swept through the area, followed by a cloud of dust, revealing a blue hedgehog with his arms crossed, tapping his foot impatiently.
“Did I get here too early?” he asked.
“The next step just arrived.” She laughed, turning to Sonic. “A bit early, Blue... I’ve got an important mission for you.”
“A mission, huh? What kind? Smash some badniks? Destroy one of Eggman’s evil plans? Fight something?” As he spoke, he started stretching.
“Even better than that... You’re going to be my cupid partner.”
“Cupid partner?” He suddenly stopped, looking confused.
“Exactly. There’s a certain hedgehog couple involved in an ultra-secret mission at that hotel...” Rouge pointed to the hotel entrance. “And I want you to play a very important part...”
“Shadow and [Y/N]? They still haven’t realized there’s something going on between them?” Sonic scratched his head. “Those two... Alright, what’s my part?”
“I think you’re going to love it...” Rouge laughed, a smug smile on her face.
--*--
When your consciousness returned in the morning, your eyes immediately focused on the clock beside the bed. It read 7:56 AM—luckily, it was still early, and you hadn't missed the free breakfast.
Getting up from the bed, you stretched, the dress you still wore rustling softly with your movements. Rubbing your eyes to wake up, you suddenly remembered the events of the day before, a blush spreading across your cheeks.
Looking to the side, you saw Shadow’s side of the bed empty. He had already gotten up and left, and wasn’t anywhere in the room.
Sighing, you got up, preparing yourself for the day and for a possible confrontation with the criminal you were after.
--*--
His red eyes scanned the hotel restaurant. From the large breakfast buffet table, Shadow had only chosen a piece of chocolate cake and a mug of cappuccino.
He grabbed the mug by the handle, taking a sip. Sighing afterwards as the events of that morning played on a loop in his mind.
When he had woken up, he was caught by surprise. At some point while unconscious in his sleep, he had wrapped an arm around your waist, seeking something warm to cling to during the night.
He thanked Gaia immensely that you hadn’t woken up with him, or it would’ve been an even more embarrassing scene than it already was for him.
From that moment on, he had put his suit back on and gone down to the lobby in search of caffeine to wake his mind up and make himself forget.
Suddenly, he felt a strong breeze hit him, rustling his quills, and in a blink of an eye and a blue blur, a very familiar hedgehog stood in front of him.
“Good morning, Shadow! Enjoying the cake? Bet it’s good!” Sonic said cheerfully, leaning on the table.
“What are you doing here?” Shadow muttered, not taking his eyes off the slice of cake.
“You know how it is, just walking around.” Sonic stepped away from the table, pulling out a chair. “Nice suit, attending a fancy event?”
“I’m on a mission, in case you didn’t notice... undercover...” Shadow clenched his fists.
“Undercover agent? Sounds cool. Are you alone?” Shadow froze for a moment, remembering you. He swallowed hard, and it didn’t go unnoticed by Sonic. But before he could say anything else, your voice rang near the table.
“Sonic?!” you said, surprised to see the hedgehog there. In truth, inside you felt a mix of relief and irritation—relief at having a friend to calm your nerves, and irritation at not being able to spend some alone time with Shadow. But you clung to the relief, glad to have someone to talk to and maybe vent a little.
“Hey, [Y/N], it’s been a while since I saw my favorite hedgehog girl!” He ran up to your side, wrapped you in his arms and lifted you, spinning you slowly in the air.
Shadow’s eyes widened, watching the scene with his mouth slightly open. Then his muzzle twisted subtly, showing just how irritated he was with that close contact—something that didn’t go unnoticed by Sonic either, who just continued with the plan.
He gently placed you down, holding your arms delicately.
“You look dazzling today... your quills are practically glowing...” Sonic said in a low, husky tone.
“Stop... you’re making me blush...” You laughed, giving him a friendly pat on the chest.
“If you weren’t on a mission right now, we could go out.” He winked at you with a sideways grin.
“It’s fine, you can have breakfast with me and Shadow,” you offered excitedly.
Before Sonic could reply, the sound of Shadow clearing his throat caught both of your attention.
“We’re working. This isn’t a vacation, Blue Hedgehog... Let her go...” Shadow said firmly, causing Sonic to raise an eyebrow while keeping the little smirk on his face.
“Aw, that’s a shame... well, I’ll be seeing you, then.” Sonic’s green eyes returned to you, making you blush. Suddenly, he started getting closer, eyes half-lidded and muzzle nearing yours.
“Sonic...?” you whispered. But before you could see how that moment would end, a heavy hand grabbed the blue hedgehog’s shoulder, pulling him back. He let out a soft gasp, and you were left stunned in place.
“I said we’re on a mission! Now give us some space.” Shadow crossed his arms at Sonic. The blue hedgehog shrugged, still smiling, before speeding off and leaving the two of you there.
Shadow sighed, shaking his head slightly, then walked back to his seat, once again focusing on the chocolate cake.
“What was that?” you finally managed to say something.
“He was interfering with our mission...” Shadow said, keeping his impassive demeanor. “You better eat—no telling when we might run into the criminal...”
And even though you found the black hedgehog’s behavior extremely confusing, you simply nodded, walking over to the breakfast table to choose what to eat.
--*--
The bat observed everything with a triumphant smile on her face. A strong breeze hit her back, revealing who had just arrived.
Turning around, Rouge found Sonic standing there, a wide smile on his muzzle.
“Nice work, Blue. You got Shadow almost exploding with jealousy.” Rouge gave a thumbs up.
“No problem!” Sonic laughed, stepping beside her, watching the hotel lobby. “Got any new plans?”
“Maybe... something for later. You’re free now, thanks for the help.” Her gaze returned to the lobby.
“Alright, I’ll wander around a bit more. Maybe I’ll see something interesting.” With a small chuckle, Sonic took off again, vanishing into the hotel.
--*--
With quick steps, Shadow scanned the hotel corridors attentively, searching for the supposed criminal he had yet to see any sign of, not even a rumor. Still, with his blind determination to complete the mission, he kept looking for the target.
However, the moment he turned a corner, he stopped, frozen in place, clenching his fists.
“You’re still here?” he said irritably, spotting Sonic leaning against a pillar.
“Hey, Shadow! Good to see you... I was just walking around.” Stepping away from the wall, Sonic approached him. “You got pretty riled up earlier, huh?”
“You were interfering with the mission...”
“The mission or your alone time at breakfast? I think you got mad because I was kind of a inconvenient earlier... For getting in your way with her. You like her, don’t you? No judgment.” Sonic shrugged, placing a hand on his hip.
“Stop talking... There’s nothing between me and her...” Shadow’s brow furrowed deeply.
“Listen... Let me give you a few tips. Go to her and say what you feel—don’t keep it to yourself. And be careful—if you don’t want to lose her, you better make a move...”
The blue hedgehog turned his back and started walking down the hallway. He paused for a moment, glancing back when he realized Shadow hadn’t said anything.
His green eyes focused on the black hedgehog, who stood paralyzed, staring at nothing in particular. Sonic’s words had struck a chord—he was truly lost in thought.
“I hate when you’re right, Sonic.” Shadow crossed his arms. “Not a word about this to her, got it?” he said with a harsh tone.
“It stays between us. But don’t waste time...” Sonic grinned subtly, then dashed off down the hotel corridor, vanishing from sight.
Shadow remained there, deep in thought. He needed to resolve this soon.
His communicator beeped at that moment. He raised his wrist.
“Shadow, do you read me?” Rouge’s voice came through.
“Yes... You finally answered this damn thing...” His tone was irritated.
“Oh, hush... Look, I need to discuss some mission details with you in private. Meet me at the restaurant at lunchtime. I reserved table 07—we’ll have a meeting...” she said through static.
“Will [Y/N] be there?” he asked softly. There were a few seconds of silence.
“It’s a private meeting. She’ll be waiting in the room.”
“Understood... I’m heading to the restaurant now.” Lowering his arm and sighing, Shadow turned around, beginning to walk back toward the lobby.
--*--
Your hands fidgeted nervously with your elegant bracelets, your gaze fixed on the glass of water on the table, then drifting to the number 07 at the center.
It had been about twenty minutes since Rouge contacted you, asking for a private meeting to discuss mission matters without Shadow. Since then, you had made your way to the table, now waiting for the bat to grace you with her presence.
Your hand reached for the glass, taking a sip to hydrate. Your mouth felt drier than usual.
Then, a commotion caught your attention. You focused your gaze on the hostess, seeing her talking to someone, and then, suddenly, she turned and started walking toward your table.
At first, you thought it was finally Rouge, but your heart nearly stopped when you saw the black and red quills behind the waitress. She stopped near the table, gesturing for Shadow to sit down. It was clear from his expression that he was also very curious about this.
He pulled out the chair and sat down in front of you, raising an eyebrow.
“I thought I was coming to have lunch with Rouge...” he said softly, placing his hand on the table and tapping his finger rhythmically on the tablecloth.
“I thought the same...” You scratched your neck, and to your own surprise, this time you held eye contact with his red eyes, giving the hedgehog a slight smile.
For a moment, the two of you remained in a long silence, simply staring at each other without saying a word.
A waiter stopped by the table, handing each of you a menu.
“Has the couple chosen their wine?” he asked kindly.
You almost opened your mouth to say that you weren’t a couple, but you remembered it was all part of the mission, so you just waited, looking at Shadow over the top of your menu. However, to your surprise, his expression was calm, showing no sign of discomfort at the waiter’s comment.
For a moment, the black hedgehog analyzed the options on the paper, then handed back the menu.
“Bring me your best wine...” he said impassively to the waiter, who nodded, taking the menu he had given to you and leaving.
“Best wine, huh?” You giggled.
“Only the best for today...” He gave a rare sideways smirk, before returning to his neutral expression. “About this mission...”
“What?” You looked at him curiously.
“Don’t you think it’s strange we haven’t seen this so-called criminal yet?...” he asked.
“Hmmm... I did think about that, but I decided to just go with it. Who knows, maybe he’s a dangerous guy.” You shrugged.
“I’ve never heard of any criminal matching the description we were given...”
“You’re right... everything is so suspicious, huh?” Your hand scratched your chin, thinking about how these past two days had been unlike anything you had ever experienced. To you, it seemed impossible to believe this was all part of Rouge’s plan.
“For now... let’s wait for the wine. I’m sure the truth will come out soon.” Shadow observed, watching the waiter approach with the wine.
--*--
Rouge’s eyes were fixed on the other side of the restaurant, watching the interaction between you and Shadow.
“Nice work, Blue.” She turned her head, focusing on Sonic beside her, who was enjoying some chili dogs.
“No problem... and the payment was worth it in the end, so it was all good.” He laughed, raising a chili dog.
Rouge chuckled too.
“The lovebirds are making progress...” At that moment, her communicator let out a soft crackle.
“Rouge, do you copy... Perimeter analysis identified imminent danger. Engaging in combat is highly recommended.” Omega’s robotic voice came through.
“Omega? No, no engaging yet, we don’t know what it is...” She stood up from her chair, catching Sonic’s curiosity. He quickly finished his last chili dog, licked his fingers, and got up to follow her.
“Horde of badniks identified. Potential risk to life. Evacuate civilians from the area immediately,” he said again through the communicator.
“Badniks? Right here, right now? This universe must be joking...” She barely finished speaking when suddenly the windows facing outside shattered, revealing several Grounders invading nonstop, making Rouge clench her fists.
“Rouge, get back!” Sonic called out, performing a Homing Attack on a Grounder that got too close to her.
“Thanks, Blue... Just what we needed today—this completely ruined our mission!”
--*--
When the glass shattered near you, the first thing you felt was a pair of strong arms wrapping around you and pulling you away. When you opened your eyes again, you were crouched behind a table with Shadow, his arms still around you, but his gaze was fixed on the horde of Grounders invading the place.
“Shadow?...” You called.
“Hm? Are you hurt?” He looked at you.
“N-no... But... what’s going on?”
“I’d like to know that too... A sudden horde of badniks like this... makes no sense.”
“Well... at least we’ll get to save something in this mission.” You gave him a small smile. “Let’s go. I can fight too.” He looked at you seriously before nodding.
“Let’s go, then...” But as soon as you stood up, the ground began to shake, and through the same shattered window, a Grounder twice the size of the others entered, scanned the area, and began to move inside.
“Our first target?” you said as you stretched.
“You bet.” Shadow cracked his knuckles, took a step forward, loosened his tie a bit, and rolled up the sleeves of his suit as much as he could.
“Distract him... I’ll handle the rest,” Shadow said in a rough voice.
“Got it!” With that, you dashed off, running as fast as you could, approaching the huge badnik. Along the way, you dodged smaller Grounders, jumping over them, avoiding the drills that threatened to hurt you.
Curling into yourself, you became a ball of quills, spinning at high speed toward the target, hitting one of its treads and destroying it. It screeched, bracing itself with its drills on the ground to avoid falling.
The badnik’s robotic eyes looked at you in fury. You stopped just behind it, standing up again.
“That’s it, come get me! You’re angry, right?” you taunted. But your eyes widened when it began dragging itself across the ground, digging in one drill at a time, quickly closing the distance between you.
In a swift move, you ran toward it, seeing Shadow flanking the badnik, preparing his Chaos Spears.
When you got in front of the Grounder, it raised a drill, swinging it down toward you, but you quickly rolled under the attack, stopping beside the badnik, hearing only the electrical noise and the screech of the Chaos Spears striking the robot, followed by the impact of a Homing Attack from the black hedgehog on top of the Grounder.
The badnik screeched, but even damaged, it lunged to the side, catching you off guard. One of its drills hit your arm squarely, launching you far, making you cry out in pain and then gasp as you crashed onto one of the tables, the wood shattering completely under the impact.
The Grounder then collapsed to the ground, defeated, and exploded. Shadow stood in front of the badnik, glaring at the machine with disdain. Only then did he spot your figure collapsed against what used to be a table. His eyes widened, and with a jolt, he ran to you.
“[Y/N]!” he shouted, kneeling by your side, carefully picking up your arm to examine the injury.
“Hey... it’s just a scratch... I’m fine, just a little tired.” You waved your hand dismissively.
“That doesn’t look like just a scratch...” He narrowed his eyes, noticing the blood between your fur.
“Shadow... relax, what matters is we beat it.” You looked around, seeing the smaller Grounders fleeing the hotel restaurant in a rush, exiting through the broken window.
The hedgehog growled, squeezing your arm a little more firmly.
“...Don’t scare me like that again. If something happens to you...” He clenched his teeth, his fangs visible, his expression showing clear irritation and desperation. You raised an eyebrow.
“You... you care that much?” Your question came out hesitant, but you needed to know.
“...Of course I do... I’ve always cared...” His red eyes locked onto yours, staring intensely.
He slowly ran a hand behind your neck, helping you sit up. His breathing had clearly quickened, as had his heartbeat. The moment felt otherworldly—you didn’t even feel the throbbing of your wound anymore.
Nearby, Rouge flew by and stopped suddenly, grabbing Sonic’s arm to make him stop as they headed toward the two of you.
“Just look at that...” she said, impressed, seeing Shadow so close to you.
"Looks like it worked out in the end." Sonic observed with a content smile, crossing his arms.
"Come on, Blue... let's see how Omega is doing out there with the badnik extermination." Rouge pulled the blue hedgehog, walking away from where the two of you were.
Shadow's hand gently moved to your cheek, his thumb tracing circles over your soft fur.
"Shadow..." you said softly, closing your eyes to enjoy the contact. Your good hand intertwined fingers with his.
"You are... someone I would protect with my life. And not just because you're my mission partner." He gave you a very sweet smile, his firm hand on your cheek slowly pulling you closer until his muzzle softly touched yours, your mouths meeting in a gentle kiss.
It didn’t last long, though. He soon pulled back, leaning in to place a light kiss on your forehead.
"Was that some kind of confession?" You teased, your hand gently caressing his.
"Maybe... interpret it however you like..." he said, also smiling slightly.
"In that case... I’d protect you with my life too, Shadow..." His eyes widened for a moment before he smiled again, his gaze drifting back to your lips. But before he could lean in again, a nearby crackling sound caught both your attention.
"Well, well, well... Who would've thought I’d find two lovebirds here... A genius like me can’t have a moment of peace—just when I try to take over a luxury hotel, hedgehogs start falling from the sky right in front of me... What were you two doing here, anyway?" Eggman's voice rang out. It took a moment for you to realize where it was coming from until your eyes focused on one of the pieces of the destroyed badnik—a kind of communicator with a blinking green light.
"We were on a mission..." Shadow said seriously.
"Oh yes, what a lovely mission, relaxing in a five-star hotel... You must be joking with me, huh? You oversized rodents are always messing w—" Sparking, the small communicator finally shorted out, falling silent.
"So, there was never a criminal, huh?" you said, laughing.
"No..."
"And this was all probably Rouge’s plan, right?"
"Absolutely..."
"And then we ended up saving a luxury hotel by coincidence..."
"Exactly..." Shadow shook his head, wrapping an arm around your waist to help you stand. "Quite the adventure... Let’s head back to HQ. We need a med kit for that injury."
Saying that, the black hedgehog began helping you walk, step by step.
--*--
The sounds of static and muffled dialogue over the communicator filled the room. You ran your hand over the bandages around your arm, testing how much it still hurt. Beside you on the infirmary bed, Shadow sat with his arms crossed, silently watching Rouge pace back and forth while talking on her communicator.
"Who is she talking to?" you asked quietly.
"The Commander..." Shadow said seriously, turning toward you and gently intertwining his fingers with your free hand.
Suddenly, Rouge stopped in front of the bed, her wrist communicator still active.
"The Commander wants to speak with you two..." she said, extending her arm so you both could listen.
"Shadow... [Y/N], do you copy? I only have one thing to say..." he said in a threatening tone. You and Shadow exchanged glances, expecting the worst—but what the Commander said next caught both of you off guard.
"I truly hope that mission was a complete success... I had to blow G.U.N.'s budget to make it happen... I followed every single item Rouge prepared. If I weren’t the Commander, I’d definitely be fired by now!" Abraham said irritably, though with a hopeful undertone in his voice.
"No worries, Commander... The mission was a tremendous success." You replied proudly, exchanging a look with Shadow.
"Ah, very well, thank you for letting me know... I’m happy for you, Shadow. Take good care of her... Towers out..."
Suddenly, the communicator shut off, leaving silence to settle over the room again.
"At least the Commander already approves of your relationship... Congrats!" Rouge clapped her hands once.
You laughed at Shadow, giving him a sweet smile. He returned the smile and leaned slightly toward you, capturing your lips in a kiss, trying to show through it that he was making a silent promise never to leave you.
He would just have to remember to thank Rouge later. After all, he’d never had a Cupid as good as her.

Melody of The Heart
Tumblr media
Pairing: Sonic and Shadow x Reader
Genre: Romance, light comedy
Rating: G (General Audience)
Warnings: Light romantic dispute, Slight hints of jealousy and rivalry
A/N: Thank you for the request! And yes, I did watch that movie. It's actually been a long time since I saw it, but I absolutely loved it when I saw it. About this story, I thought it was interesting to do it in this format with Sonic and Shadow in the same story instead of in separate stories, I think it suited the main dynamic well later. I hope you don't mind and I hope you like the result.
--*--
That cold morning seemed peaceful, the sound of birds in the trees, the soft breeze rustling the leaves and grass. Everything would’ve been perfect—if not for the incessant sound of an argument happening nearby, in a clearing, followed by the sharp noise of two extremely fast figures breaking through the silence.
The two figures spun between the trees, zigzagging, one chasing the other, until they stopped on opposite sides, a pair of green eyes locked with a pair of red ones.
The two hedgehogs growled in unison.
“This isn’t getting us anywhere! It’s better if you just give up and accept I’m superior, Blue Hedgehog...”
“Ha! Good one, Shadow. But I’m the one saying this isn’t getting us anywhere—everyone knows I’m faster than you. No need to even race.” He pointed to himself with his thumb, and Shadow just scoffed, crossing his arms.
“In that case... a race through the whole valley this time!” He barely gave Sonic time to register the words before taking off.
“Hey! That’s not fair—” Without wasting another second, the blue hedgehog took off after his rival.
Once again, the two were neck and neck in the race. Sonic turned to him, flashing a smug, challenging grin.
“Just reminding you, you’re the one who started all this...” he said with a laugh, speeding up just a bit.
Shadow narrowed his eyes, skating faster behind him.
“If you accepted the challenge, it’s because deep down you think you’ll lose...” the black hedgehog said, passing slightly ahead of Sonic.
Suddenly, both of them widened their eyes and came to an abrupt stop, kicking up a cloud of dust. They stood side by side, staring further ahead, down a small trail in the woods.
Then they looked at each other again, a new kind of determination settling on their faces.
On the trail, you were walking peacefully, carrying a long case in your left hand and holding the strap of a backpack with your right, distracted by the calm path.
Suddenly, you heard a loud and familiar sound—something speeding toward your direction. Jumping in surprise, you looked up and saw the two figures had stopped right in front of you.
“Ah—hi boys, what a surprise seeing you here...” you said, letting out a relieved sigh.
With a sly grin, Sonic ran up beside you, casually draping an arm over your shoulder.
“Hey... I guess I did owe you that walk through the woods, huh?” he winked. But before you could answer, a hand shoved his face aside, pushing him back, and was replaced by Shadow’s imposing presence.
“Don’t mind him...” the black hedgehog extended his hand toward you. “There’s a lavender field nearby I’ve been meaning to take you to for a while now,” he said intensely, his red eyes locked onto yours without blinking.
“Thanks for the offers, boys... but...” You couldn’t even finish. Suddenly, arms wrapped around your waist, lifting you just enough to be carried a bit further along the trail. You clutched your case tightly, keeping it from falling.
Turning in surprise, you realized Sonic was the culprit.
“There we go, leave that grumpy starfish behind...” he said in a low tone, placing a hand on your lower back to walk with you. “Where were we? Oh right, a nice little forest trail walk.” He chuckled.
But just a moment later, a strong gust of wind rustled your clothes and kicked up dust in front of you. As it settled, you saw Shadow standing with arms crossed right in your path.
“Trying to steal her from me?” he said in a threatening tone, his eyes beginning to glow a deeper red, his quills sparking with energy.
Sonic let go of you, stepping in front protectively, a more serious and determined posture taking over. He clenched his fists, his own quills starting to spark as well.
“Maybe I am... I mean, obviously she’d rather spend time with me. I’m not some grumpy old man...” Sonic said, smirking. Shadow clicked his tongue.
“She’d rather be with someone serious than a hyperactive delinquent like you...” Sonic scoffed at the comeback.
The two stepped forward, baring their teeth with a low growl.
Before they could go any further, you stepped between them, placing a hand on each of their shoulders, stopping them and breaking the tension.
“I appreciate it, boys... but I’m a little busy right now... alright? I don’t have much time.” You smiled at both of them. They relaxed, Sonic rubbing the back of his neck, Shadow crossing his arms with a low ‘hmph’.
With a sigh, you turned to continue walking down your path, but as you turned, you jumped again—seeing a figure just a few meters away. Your eyes focused on the rabbit, who held a bag in her arms and smiled kindly.
“Am I interrupting something?” she asked softly.
“Ah—Vanilla... No, don’t worry, sorry for being late...” You gripped your case tighter.
“It’s alright, dear, I had to step out, but Cream is still waiting for you at home with Gemerl.” You nodded at her words and started walking again.
“Alright, I won’t take long to get there, I’ll take good care of her today.” Smiling, you passed Vanilla and continued on the path.
“Hey... aren’t you forgetting something?” Vanilla asked with a small laugh.
Freezing mid-step, you already knew what she meant. Slowly turning your head, you focused on the two hedgehogs, still standing impassively, watching you eagerly.
“I-I bet they’ve got better things to do... right, boys?” you said, hoping they’d agree.
“Actually... I’m pretty free today,” Sonic said with a sly grin.
“I also have no tasks to attend to...” Shadow said, eyes closed, arms crossed.
“That’s great! I’m sure Cream will love having the three of you spend the day with her!” Vanilla clapped her hands in delight, turning to you. “Well, no need to worry, dear, these two strong hedgehogs will definitely be a big help!” she said happily, turning to leave again.
“Yeah... incredible help,” you sighed, already knowing full well the rivalry between the two when it came to your attention.
“Good luck, see you later!” she waved.
You stood there for a few seconds, watching the two. Sonic and Shadow exchanged glances, then walked over to you, passing by your side.
“What’re you waitin’ for? Cream needs her babysitters,” Sonic said cheerfully, wearing a smug little grin.
Shaking your head, you started walking after them.
--*--
You had barely knocked on the door when you suddenly heard the sound of small footsteps running and the door being flung open, revealing a little rabbit with a wide smile stretching across her face.
“Miss [Y/N]!” she said, practically throwing herself at you, hugging your waist, with both her Chao hugging you too.
“Hey, Cream, good to see you too.” You laughed, gently placing a hand on her head. Then she quickly looked past you and saw the two hedgehogs.
“And you brought Mr. Sonic and Mr. Shadow!” she exclaimed, her eyes sparkling with joy.
“Yeah, yeah... They... they’re going to help take care of you today...” You scratched your neck.
“That’s right. I was thinking... how about we start with a little friendly competition, huh?” Sonic stepped forward, stretching his arms up.
“Nothing of the sort... Cream would rather have a quiet afternoon tea...” Shadow walked past you, taking Cream’s hand, entering the house, followed closely by Cheese and Chocola.
“Wait—let Cream choose what she wants to do first!” Sonic walked past you too, entering the house, the three of them disappearing inside.
You stood for a moment at the doorway, listening to their conversation. Then you turned your head, hearing heavy metallic footsteps.
“Situation analysis: psychological distress detected, increased heart rate,” Gemerl stated, staring at you. “Would you like me to eliminate the intruding hedgehogs?”
“There’s no need, Gemerl. I appreciate the concern, but I can handle them. Don’t worry.” You waved him off, closing the door behind you and stepping into the house. Gemerl followed closely behind.
“Structural damage to the house is likely,” he declared.
“I know... I’ll keep them under control.” You placed your fingers to your temples, already predicting it was going to be a long day.
--*--
You were silently drinking a glass of water while sitting on the couch, your eyes following the movements of the three around the house for some time now. Beside you, your case rested, still closed.
Behind the couch, Gemerl stood still, also analyzing everything meticulously.
In front of you, Sonic dashed by, laughing, with Shadow chasing after him. In the distance, you could hear Cream’s giggles.
Soon, she appeared from the hallway, running in your direction, her eyes gleaming with playful excitement. She crouched behind the couch, putting a finger to her lips in a shushing gesture. You nodded, understanding the game.
A few seconds later, in the blink of an eye, Sonic stopped in the middle of the room, stomping his foot, then turned to you.
“Did you see Cream around here?” He took a step toward you.
“No... maybe she’s... in her room?” You shrugged. The hedgehog narrowed his eyes but nodded slowly, dashing off toward the room.
Cream popped out from her hiding spot, giggling softly. She tiptoed, trying to cross the living room toward the kitchen.
“Aha! I knew you were nearby!” Sonic’s voice echoed. He ran back into the room, picking Cream up in his arms, and she laughed joyfully. “Gotcha! You can’t escape the fastest thing alive!”
You couldn’t help but smile at the interaction between the two. Suddenly, there was a flash beside them, and Shadow appeared with his arms crossed.
He immediately noticed your faint smile, raising an eyebrow.
“Well... I think it’s clear who was the best babysitter for Cream today...” the black hedgehog said, locking eyes with Sonic.
“Me?” the blue hedgehog replied smugly.
“No... me.” Shadow pointed to himself. “I know how to take care of children in a careful way you’ll never understand.”
“And I know how to have fun and not sulk all the time at least...” Sonic said with a frown.
“Boys... stop it already... I don’t want you two fighting in here... Gemerl is on the verge of exterminating both of you if anything gets broken.” You warned them. Both turned their attention to the robot behind the couch, noticing his defensive stance and analytical gaze, just waiting.
The two looked at each other, preparing to open their mouths to say something else—probably something provocative about being stronger than Gemerl—but when you saw they were about to speak, you quickly got up from the couch, placing your glass of water on the coffee table.
“Alright... how about we get Cream ready for bed? It’s getting pretty late...” You picked up your case and walked toward the rabbit’s bedroom.
Sonic wasted no time following you, still carrying Cream, and Shadow followed behind him.
--*--
You gently tucked the little rabbit into bed. She hugged her Chao and settled in under the covers.
“All right, Cream... how about a bedtime story now?” You smiled softly at her, and her eyes lit up.
“I’d love that!”
Behind you, Sonic and Shadow sat in chairs, watching everything closely. Then, their expressions shifted to curiosity as you picked up the long case you’d been carrying all day. They exchanged surprised glances, realizing they still didn’t know what was inside.
Your fingers deftly unlocked the case. You opened it, revealing a unique instrument, resembling a kind of three-stringed lute.
“What’s that?” Sonic asked, staring at the object.
“Hm? Oh, it’s a shamisen, a Japanese musical instrument... You’ve never seen one?” You picked it up, starting to tune it gently.
“Since when do you play that?” the blue hedgehog asked in surprise.
“There’s a lot about me you two don’t know.” You smiled, grabbing the plectrum from the case and running it across the strings, producing a slightly off sound. You tuned it again. “Alright, Cream, what kind of story do you want to hear?”
The rabbit thought for a moment, bringing a hand to her chin.
“Could you tell a story about me?” Sonic said playfully.
“Why would she tell a story about you? There’s nothing interesting to tell about you...” Shadow said, staring at Sonic. “A story about me would make more sense...” He closed his eyes.
“Cream gets to choose. I’m telling a story to help her sleep, not to help you two sleep.” Cream giggled softly at your words.
“Well, Miss [Y/N]... could you tell a story about two knights who love a princess?” she said, hugging her Chao tighter.
Your eyes widened at her words—apparently, what was going on between the three of you was pretty obvious even to a child.
“Alright, let’s see...” You ran the plectrum over the strings again, now producing a pleasant and flowing sound. Then you began to play a slow rhythm.
Suddenly, from inside the case, a few colorful papers flew out as if carried by the wind, beginning to circle around you and Cream. Everyone’s eyes widened as they watched the magical sight with awe.
The papers fell to the floor, spreading themselves in order.
“Once in a land beyond moon’s gentle light,
Lived two bold knights who longed for the same sight.
One born of shadow, with sorrow and might,
The other from sunlight, swift, pure, and bright.”
Suddenly, a blue paper and a black one rose, quickly folding into very familiar shapes. Sonic chuckled, realizing it was an origami version of himself. Shadow gave a faint smile at the paper version of him. Both were clearly mesmerized by the magic.
“The first was forged on the moon’s silver stone,
Raised by cold silence, always alone.
The Knight of the Shadows, strong and controlled,
With crimson eyes and a spirit bold.
He had lost much, seen worlds torn apart,
Yet carried his battles deep in his heart.
Silent but fierce, he stood ever tall,
A warrior of dusk who would never fall.”
Your eyes drifted to the two hedgehogs, who watched intently, hardly blinking at the mini show performed by the papers. The little origami Shadow stood in a combat stance as more papers formed monster-like shapes. The origami leapt into the air, arms outstretched, launching small paper Chaos Spears at the monsters, destroying them.
“The second one raced with the wind in his hair,
A laugh on his lips, with never a care.
The Knight of the Light, with freedom his guide,
Humble and brave, with nothing to hide.
He danced through the day with speed and with grace,
A smile like sunshine lighting his face.
He feared no danger, he fled from no fight,
For love was the source of all of his might.”
More papers folded into small, colorful badniks. The origami Sonic turned into a little ball of paper, launching himself at the enemies and destroying them, then folding back into Sonic’s shape.
“But then came a princess, gentle and wise,
With songs on her lips and stars in her eyes.
The Princess of Melodies, soft and divine,
Whose shamisen glowed with a golden shine.
No sword did she wield, no armor to wear,
Yet magic flowed with each note in the air.
And when she sang, both knights took their chance,
Each hoping to win her heart with a glance.”
As the rhythm continued on the shamisen, one sheet flew up and formed into a small origami resembling you. It landed between the two knights, holding a tiny paper shamisen, mirroring your own movements as you played and told the story.
“One brought bright roses, fierce red and wild,
The other gave lilies, soft and beguiled.
They started to boast with silly delight,
Trying to prove who’d win her that night.
‘I beat a whole robot—blindfolded, too!’
‘I saved a small kitten while tied like a shoe!’
‘I caught a comet mid-fall and then grinned!’
‘I cooked a chili dog... and it barely got singed!’”
You heard Cream giggle softly beside you as the little origami Sonic and Shadow seemed to argue with one another. Then, two different flowers were formed from paper, falling into each of the origamis' hands. They both turned to the tiny version of you, knelt, and extended their hands with the flowers.
"At last, the two knights, both hearts full of bloom,
Knelt down and offered their flowers of gloom and of plume.
The princess looked on, her choice near the end..."
At that moment, you heard Cream’s sleeping breath, your fingers immediately stopping their movement on the shamisen. Your eyes turned to the side, seeing the little rabbit sleeping deeply with her Chao. Then, you lowered the instrument, walking back to the case, noticing the stunned looks from the two hedgehogs.
“H-h-hey... What about the end of the story? Which knight does the princess choose?” Sonic stood up, walking toward you, stepping over the now-still origamis on the floor.
“Cream’s already asleep, so there’s no reason for me to keep telling it...” You gave him a mischievous smile.
“That’s not fair... You should finish the story...” Shadow also stood from the chair, stopping by your side.
Suddenly, the creaking of the front door caught your attention, followed by Vanilla’s voice.
“Everyone, I’m home!” she called cheerfully.
“Come on, our babysitting shift is over...” You nudged Sonic with your elbow, then ran the pick across the shamisen strings. In the blink of an eye, all the sheets and origamis flew back into the case, organizing themselves. You put the instrument away, grabbed the case again, and left the room.
“Hey... That power of yours is amazing...” Sonic commented, walking alongside you. “We were seriously impressed...”
“I know, I could see it on your faces.”
The two hedgehogs nodded, following close behind you.
Vanilla was in the kitchen, handing a few grocery bags to Gemerl.
“Hello, I hope it was a peaceful day...” she said, turning to you all.
“Definitely, it was very peaceful, no worries at all.” You replied cheerfully, picking up your backpack from the table and slinging it over your shoulder.
“That’s great, Cream always falls asleep so fast when you come to tell her stories.” Vanilla noted, making you smile warmly.
“Whenever you need me, you can count on me... and the boys.”
The eyes of both hedgehogs widened at that, and you noticed they were slightly blushing under their fur.
“Well, shall we get going then?” You looked at the two of them, turning to leave the house, saying goodbye to Vanilla and Gemerl.
--*--
Your steps down the path were calm, even though it was nighttime—after all, you still had two strong hedgehogs following you closely.
“I know a diner that has the best chili dogs...” Sonic said beside you, his hands behind his head as he walked along.
“Nonsense... There’s a restaurant with proper meals nearby... A real dinner.” Shadow walked beside you on your right, glaring at Sonic on your left.
“I’ve got an idea... How about the three of us go eat somewhere together?” You suggested, without taking your eyes off the path ahead.
The two exchanged glances, then nodded briefly after a few seconds.
“Fine by me... as long as I can see your origami show again later.” Sonic shrugged, a small smirk on his face.
“I’m also interested in seeing your powers again.” Shadow said, also cracking a faint smile.
You let out a nasal laugh, not quite sure what you were going to do with those two you adored so much.

Just a little tip about what I'm working on at the moment, (Yes, the text is in Portuguese, but that's to increase the suspense about how the finished work will look.).
What I can say is that it's a part 2 of a request I made. This part two wasn't requested, but ever since I read someone's comment on that post I've had this itch in my ear to do something based on that.
So I finally decided a few days ago what I wanted to do, and now I'll be posting it here soon, and I'm really looking forward to it! 🦔🔴⚫

😆 Okay, here's a fun idea in mind:
Imagine hedgehog dads' trying to help the kids with their homework (particularly math), and they happened to be just as stumped as they are. And it results in utter chaos.
Inspired by the 6 × 3 video from the classic HARDSTOP LUCAS (if you know him). 😎 🫡
Hope this idea works! If you don't wanna do it, that's fine too. Just a funny idea that I NEEDED to get out there, lol! Have fun! And thank youuu! ❤

Sonic
It was late afternoon, the final rays of sunlight streaming through the kitchen windows. The blue hedgehog was leaning casually against the counter, taking a sip of his soda. His ears twitched toward the front door as he heard it creak, signaling someone’s arrival.
Almost immediately, the door creaked again as it closed, followed by small footsteps entering the house.
Slightly turning his head, his green eyes scanned the kitchen entrance, seeing the little blue hedgehog walk in slowly, looking tired, with her backpack on her shoulders. She slipped the straps off, tossed it beside a chair, and, with some effort, managed to sit on the chair—which was taller than her.
“So, kiddo? How was school?” Sonic asked, walking to her side and pulling out a chair.
“Tiring... It’s so boring having to sit in a chair all day...” She crossed her arms.
“I know how it is... But just relax, it’ll be over soon.” He gave her a light pat on the back.
“Dad, can you help me with my homework?” she asked quietly.
“Sure thing. Just show it to your old man—shouldn’t be anything too tricky.” He laughed, leaning an elbow on the table and setting aside his soda as she reached for her bag, pulling out her pencil case and notebook.
She carefully opened the notebook, flipping through the pages until she found the lesson, then handed it to her dad, who smiled and scanned the page.
“All right, let’s see...” Sonic began to read. “An isosceles triangle is a type of triangle that has two equal sides and—hold on, what? Congruent? Equal angles? Formed with the base?” He furrowed his brow, tilting the notebook as if that would help him understand, his confident grin fading as he read. “Huh... where’s the good old math?”
He looked at his daughter and raised an eyebrow.
“What’s up, Dad? You’re an adult, right? You should know this stuff.” She crossed her arms at him.
“I’m an adult with tons of knowledge and experience in many fields, just not triangle puzzles. By Gaia, I don’t even know what that is. I thought math was just adding, subtracting, dividing, and multiplying!” He crossed his arms back at her.
“But that is math, Dad—it’s trigonometry!”
“To me, that just sounds like a snowboard trick. My thing’s speed. I wasn’t made for tough stuff like this. If it were a simple addition or subtraction problem, I’d handle it no problem.” He handed the notebook back to her.
“Can’t you at least try? This assignment is going to count for a grade!” she sighed in exasperation.
Sonic paused for a few seconds, looking at his daughter intently before taking a deep breath.
“All right...” He ran a hand through his quills, frowning. “What do I know about triangles...” He tapped his finger against his temple, closing his eyes tightly, thinking, impatiently tapping his foot on the floor.
Suddenly, he snapped his fingers, opened his eyes, and dashed off, leaving his daughter confused and staring at the spot he’d just been.
She opened her mouth to say something, but before she could, Sonic reappeared in front of her, holding a small decorative pyramid ornament made of metal.
“How’s this?” He flashed a sly grin.
“And how are you planning to solve my homework with that, Dad?” she asked, raising an eyebrow.
“Just use a ruler and add the sides, right?” He tossed the little pyramid into the air and skillfully caught it.
“Of course not!” She took a step forward, pointing at the notebook.
“Sweetheart, solving puzzles is way outside my dad skills...” He flashed her a grin.
“They’re asking for angles, Dad… A-N-G…”
“Okay, no need to spell it out, I get it...” He puckered his lips at her, gripping the pyramid in his hand and setting it on the table, pulling out a chair as she sat across from him.
“I got something that might help...” She rummaged in her backpack and pulled out a round ruler marked with angles.
“Now that helps...” He took the ruler and placed it next to the pyramid, squinting as he inspected the measurements.
“So?” asked the little hedgehog innocently.
“Ninety degrees?” He raised a confused eyebrow, studying the ruler more closely. “Write that down—ninety degrees. And if your teacher gives you trouble, just say your dad helped.” Sonic sighed, handing the ruler back and folding his arms.
“You’re giving up?! We didn’t even really start!” she exclaimed, slapping her hand on the table.
Just then, you entered the kitchen, drawn by the commotion.
“What are you two up to?” you asked, standing at the table and observing the small pyramid now in place.
“Dad was trying to help me with homework… and totally failing,” Sonic pouted at you, then turned to you.
“I wasn’t totally failing—I can’t fail at something I haven’t really tried yet!” He folded his arms again.
“Let me take a look at the assignment...” You picked up the notebook and scanned it, your eyes widening. “Your age and this? Are you really supposed to be learning this already?” you questioned your daughter, who nodded.
“Look,” you said, leaning close. “We start with the law of sines…” You showed her precisely how to complete the exercise.
Sonic’s mouth dropped open as he watched you teach your daughter. Then a small smile spread across his muzzle as admiration glowed in his eyes.
“...Exactly right. Now, to finish, you’ll find the result—2√3, perfect!” You smiled at your daughter, praising her. She looked thrilled.
Then you looked at Sonic, and the intense way he was staring at you made your cheeks flush hot.
“W-what?” you asked, looking away.
He stood and came to your side, wrapping his arm around your waist.
“That was amazing.” He winked at you.
“Well... everyone’s got their areas of expertise, right?” You scratched your neck.
“My area of expertise says I’ve just fallen even more in love with you...” He offered you a knowing side smile. “I’m so lucky to have someone so smart in my life...” His voice dropped lower.
Just then, your daughter broke the spell.
“If you two are gonna kiss, wait until I’m gone—I don’t wanna see any of that.” She said firmly, her ears drooping as she packed up her things.
“Oh, my bad, kiddo...” Sonic chuckled and gave you a quick kiss on your forehead. “We’ll continue later...” He released you, grabbed his soda, then crouched beside your daughter to ruffle her quills playfully.
“Wanna go for a run? Not that you’ll beat me, but it’ll be fun.” The little one gave a mischievous smile and nodded, and in an instant, the two of them were gone, leaving only a blue blur behind, their clothes fluttering in the rush of speed.
You sighed and closed your eyes, shaking your head. It was amazing how he still made you blush, even after all this time together—and it was one of the things you loved most about him.

Shadow
It was early on a weekend morning; a gentle breeze rustled his black quills as he focused on the task he had chosen for the day: cleaning his motorcycle.
Shadow carefully wiped the metal parts, his red eyes scanning for any specks of dirt on the vehicle.
He heard small footsteps approaching across the yard and didn’t even have to look to know it was his daughter—he knew the sound of her walk too well.
“Dad?” she called softly.
“Hm?” he responded, placing the cloth on the handlebar and turning to her.
She came closer and handed him her open notebook.
“Can you help me with my homework?” she asked as he took the notebook into his hands.
“Sure... Come, let’s sit over here.” He guided her to sit at a small wooden table nearby, placing the notebook down and beginning to look over the assignment.
“So? You know the answer, right? This assignment’s even messing with my sleep,” she said worriedly, fidgeting with her fingers on the table.
“The powers (-2)^4 and -2^4… are they the same or different...?” He read the question quietly, then brought a hand to his chin, narrowing his eyes. He took a few seconds to think before clicking his tongue.
“Dad? You don’t know the answer?” the little one asked.
“It’s not about not knowing... The real question is... what’s the point of this in your life?” He looked into her eyes.
“I won’t pass the school year if I don’t know it,” she raised an eyebrow at Shadow, who just closed his eyes and sighed.
“You don’t know how to do it, do you? I thought the Ultimate Lifeform would be able to solve something like this easily...” she crossed her arms at him.
“I was created for many reasons, but solving math questions was definitely not one of them...” he said, picking up a pencil and trying to scribble something in the notebook.
“Why are you answering it then?” she leaned over slightly, trying to see what he was writing, eyes widening when she saw him doing some absurd math.
“Dad, you’re adding both numbers? That’s not how it starts!”
“I’m trying...” he gritted his teeth, grabbing the eraser and rubbing out his scribbles.
“That’s just scribbles, Dad... not the answer,” she raised an eyebrow at him.
“Tell me how to start the question then...” He dropped the pencil on the notebook, crossing his arms, waiting for her to respond.
She scooted closer, pointing at the problem.
“Dad... this is raised to the fourth power... that means you do two times two four times... not two times four!”
Shadow looked at her with his mouth slightly open, processing her words for a few seconds, then raised an eyebrow.
“I don’t get it... if I do two times two four times...” He discreetly counted on his fingers. “It all comes out to four...” His red eyes looked at her in confusion. She just put a hand to her temple.
“No, first you do two times two... then you do two times four!”
“Whoever made this wasn’t very smart... There should be a better way to visualize it... How was I supposed to know this is how you do it?” He raised his hands in disbelief.
“By learning math?” she crossed her arms at him.
“Math never helped me protect the world...” He crossed his arms right back, grinding his teeth.
Watching the two of them at the little table outside, seemingly locked in a long debate, you raised an eyebrow and slowly walked outside, stopping beside Shadow and looking closely at what they were doing.
“Homework?” you asked, noticing how Shadow’s shoulders instantly tensed up at your approach.
“Yeah... but Dad’s not really helping much...” the little one said softly.
“Ah, sweetie, Shadow is terrible with anything school-related.” You giggled softly, watching your daughter’s surprised expression.
“What do you mean?” she asked, stunned.
“Your dad never turned in a single homework assignment in his life when he was living on the ARK.” You placed a hand on his shoulder, feeling him tense up even more.
“...I thought we agreed never to bring up that detail about my life again.” He muttered lowly, blushing slightly under his fur.
“Sorry, but she had to know, Shads...” you whispered.
“Whoa... I had no idea Dad was the Ultimate Slacker...” she said, amazed, staring at Shadow.
“Well... I can help,” you said, pointing at the notebook.
The little one began writing, while Shadow silently followed along with his eyes.
He raised an eyebrow as he watched the simple steps being completed.
“There you go, the answer’s 16 and -16, perfect.” You praised her, and she happily took her notebook and ran back inside.
Then, you turned your gaze back to Shadow, who sat with his arms crossed and eyes closed.
“Don’t be upset, Shads.” You smiled, walking up behind him and placing your hands on his shoulders. This time, he relaxed under your touch.
“It’s just a bit of math... nothing you’ve ever needed before in your life...” He nodded briefly.
“...Would you teach me?” he asked softly, making your face light up.
“Of course! I can give you private lessons anytime you want—it might be helpful to know the basics.” You hugged him from behind, resting your chin on top of his head.
He let out a quiet ‘hmph,’ though a small smile began to form on his muzzle as he enjoyed being close to you and the idea of spending more time together.
Tumblr media
Silver
The white hedgehog was humming softly, content, as he gently poured water from his watering can over the garden. His golden eyes sparkled with pride as he admired all the green and blooming plants.
After finishing, he set the watering can down, placing a hand on his hip to take in the view—until, from the corner of his eye, he spotted a little hedgehog standing at the door, watching him.
Silver turned his head slightly, now seeing his daughter clearly. He smiled warmly and floated over to her with his powers.
“Hey there, little one. What’s wrong?” He landed in front of her, noticing the worried look on her face.
“Dad, I need help with my homework...” she said, hugging her book. Silver’s eyes lit up.
“Great! I can help you—let me take a look.” He smiled, carefully taking the book as she showed him the homework page.
“Okay... Solve the complete quadratic equation using the quadratic formula... 2x² + 7x + 5 = 0...” He stared at the equation for a few seconds, scratching the back of his neck.
“Dad?” the little one asked.
“Uh...” He furrowed his brow at the page. “I’ve never seen anything like this in my life...” he admitted softly. “Bhaskara is... what, exactly?” he asked in a whisper.
“The guy who made this up... or something like that,” she shrugged.
“Hmmm...” He rubbed his chin, pouting in concentration. “But... doesn’t this equation already have an answer?”
“I think it wants the value of X, Dad, not the value after the equals sign...”
“Ah, right...” He shrank into himself a little, clearly intimidated by the equation. “In the future we don’t have anything like this... Math’s really different over there...” he murmured.
“That’s true... I guess I never thought about it...” the little one crossed her arms, thinking.
“But I can still help... let’s go.” He smiled, taking the pencil she handed him.
The hedgehog sat down on the ground at the doorstep, the little one doing the same, both examining how to begin.
“Alright... if I have two X’s... let’s say I have...” He looked around and smiled as he spotted two small stones, placing them in front of him. “If I have two stones with this little number here...”
“Dad, I don’t think that’s how you do it...” she raised an eyebrow at his method.
“Relax, sweetie... In the future, math works like this... I think.” He looked away. “Anyway... moving on, how about...” He tapped the pencil to his chin.
“How about we just start with the formula?”
“You mean that... Baskada thing?”
“Bhaskara.”
“Yeah, that one... Well, I wish I knew what that formula actually is...” He gave her a sheepish grin. “There’s gotta be another way to do it...”
“No, Dad... there’s not.” She shook her head. Silver pouted.
“Not even... if I try using my powers?... Even if it probably won’t help...” he laughed.
“It’s okay, Dad. Thanks for trying to help...” she said softly, reaching to take the book back.
“Wait, I’ve got it!” Silver said suddenly, excited, turning around and heading inside. The little one followed, hopeful and curious.
He found you at the kitchen table, reading a book calmly.
The hedgehog sat in front of you, beaming, and placed the book in front of you. You looked up from your book, curious, then saw the workbook.
“Homework, huh?” You smiled.
“Can you help?” Silver asked, as the little one stopped at his side.
“What’s the task?” You marked your page and set your book down. “A quadratic equation? It’s been years since I’ve done one, but I think I can help.” You said cheerfully.
“Thank you, you’re a real lifesaver...” Silver laughed, crossing his arms on the table. The little one did the same.
“It’s nothing. If you want, I can teach you too.” You smiled.
“Sounds great to me. Math in the future is... not exactly like this.” He scratched his neck, glancing away.
“I know, alright, let me see what I can do.” You analyzed the question, grabbing a pencil and beginning to explain to both of them how the equation worked, making small pauses to remember things before continuing.
However, Silver was actually more focused on you than on your explanation. He was watching you with a soft gaze, following every movement you made with his eyes, a little smile on his face.
Then he let out a long sigh, catching your attention.
“Everything okay? You seem lost in thought...” You laughed, watching him blush and his eyes widen.
“N-no, it’s nothing! I was just... admiring you...” He looked away, scratching his arm.
You chuckled softly.
“Thank you, Silver. You're adorable...”
He smiled gently, then suddenly stood up from the chair.
“I-I’m gonna make us a snack... I’ll be right back!” He fumbled a little trying to get out of where he was, quickly heading to the cabinets, looking for ingredients.
Now it was your turn to admire him, watching every agile movement and the little smiles he gave.
“Mom...?” The little one called, breaking the spell and bringing your attention back to her.
“Ah, sorry, here, you just have to do this and you’ll finish the equation.” You said quickly. The little hedgehog giggled softly, clearly enjoying the cute interactions between her parents.
Tumblr media
Scourge
The hedgehog was sprawled out on the couch, his muzzle fur covered in chip crumbs as he munched away. Every now and then his hand reached into the bag for more snacks, bringing them lazily to his mouth.
He shifted a bit, stretching his back, enjoying the calm of the house at night. In the armchair, you were curled up reading a book, also savoring the peaceful moment.
That was until the sound of a bedroom door upstairs echoed through the house. The familiar creak made Scourge flick his ears back. He licked his fingers and tossed the snack bag aside. His blue eyes followed the sound of tiny footsteps coming down the stairs, already spotting two little green-furred hedgehogs whose eyes sparkled mischievously upon seeing Scourge.
“Dad!” the older one called out, coming down quickly, followed by her younger sister.
“Whaddaya want?” he asked, stretching and sitting upright to look at them.
“...Help us with homework?” the older one asked with an innocent look, showing him her notebook, the younger mimicking her with hers.
“Uh...” Scourge looked at their notebooks, scratched his neck, then glanced over at you. “Hey... think ya could gimme a hand here?” he asked. Slowly, you lowered your book, observing the three—but didn’t even have time to answer.
“Dad! We want your help this time. Mom helps every time!” the older one insisted, crossing her arms and staring at Scourge. His ears turned sideways, clearly uncomfortable. You let out a husky chuckle, enjoying the scene and his interaction with the girls.
“...My help, huh?”
“Yes...” both said in unison.
“You sure? 'Cause askin’ a stranger on the street might be smarter...” Scourge laughed at his own joke, but his smile faded when he noticed the girls were still serious, arms crossed.
“We don’t care if your head’s empty...” the little one said.
“Hey, watch ya mouth—I’m still ya dad...” he pointed to himself, making the two exchange confused glances.
“Anyway... you heard my sister, we don’t care, we just want your help...” The older one placed the notebook in his lap, waiting for his next move.
Scourge sighed, thinking for a moment, scratching his cheek before clicking his tongue.
“Aight, screw it. I’ll help ya two.” He extended his hand, opening the notebook to the last page.
“This one... just this one left...” The little one pointed to the question.
Scourge cleared his throat before reading aloud.
“What’s the volume ‘n total surface area of a rectang’lar prism with... what—5, 7, and 9 cm?” He paused, trying to make sense of what he just read, then furrowed his brow. “What the hell’s that even s’posed to mean?” He looked at the girls.
“Dad, you’re supposed to know that!” The older one crossed her arms.
“Pfft, yeah right. D’you see me lookin’ like someone who loves math?” He raised an eyebrow at them.
“No, but I thought you’d at least be useful for helping.”
“You’re really gonna keep throwin’ shade at ya own father?!” He gritted his teeth.
“Of course! How can you be the leader of a gang, become a king, fight a bunch of strong people... and still not know how to do basic math?” The older one waved her arms, trying to wrap her head around the fact that Scourge just didn’t know how to do that question.
“I never had to know nothin’ about volume or area... or whatever them scribbles are in that notebook... My brains ain’t about stupid numbers, alright?” he muttered, clearly getting irritated.
You let out a quiet giggle, continuing to read but clearly listening to the conversation.
“You laughin’ at somethin’?” Scourge raised an eyebrow at you.
“Nothing, I was just reacting to a funny part in the book...” You winked at him, returning to your reading. It was pretty obvious the book wasn’t the reason for your laughter.
“Tch... Aight, ya little punks...” He grabbed a pencil and started scribbling something—an absolutely horrendous scrawl. “Done and done. Daddy left a lil' note for the teacher.” He grinned smugly.
“Dad... I hope that’s not a threat...” the older one said in disbelief, taking the notebook from his hands and reading the note. “Teach my daughters something that’s actually useful?” she read aloud.
“Whaddaya think? Just saved ya from homework ‘til the end of the year...” He leaned back on the couch, hands behind his head like he’d saved the world.
The little one huffed, grabbing an eraser and rubbing out the note he’d written.
“I’m not showing that to the teacher...” she frowned.
“Daddy... can you help me?” the younger one asked quietly, holding up her notebook.
“This homework’s already meltin’ my brain...” he sighed, taking the notebook—only for his face to light up with a huge smile. “Six times three? Easy, kid. That’s twenty-one—write it down.” He handed back the notebook, puffing his chest proudly, feeling like father of the year.
At that moment, you lifted your eyes and stared at him in surprise, then raised an eyebrow. The girls looked at Scourge with the same mix of shock and confusion.
“Scourge...” you said softly. “Twenty-one?”
“What? That ain’t right?” He scratched his head, starting to count on his fingers.
“Dad... It’s eighteen...” the older one said with her mouth agape.
Scourge’s eyes went wide, his muzzle visibly flushing even through his fur. He looked away, crossing his arms.
“I-I knew that! C’mon...” He squeezed his own arm, then suddenly got up and left, muttering, disappearing into the kitchen.
You watched Scourge carefully, then turned to your daughters.
“Let Daddy rest his brain. I’ll help you.” Smiling, you closed your book and placed it on the coffee table.
You already knew Scourge would probably stay sulking for quite a while after that scene. But you were also determined to comfort him later and make sure he wouldn’t stay upset about it.

Genre: Fluff, light comedy
Rating: G (General Audience)
Warnings: Mention of labor pain
A/N: Thanks for the request! When I first saw this, I almost immediately had the idea for the Scourge part, mainly because I had seen a funny news story that happened here in my country, I'll leave the link to the story below so as not to give spoilers, but I couldn't get the idea out of my head to do it based on it, and I think it turned out really cool, not only the Scourge part, but the others too. I hope you like it!

Sonic
His ears twitched nonstop, picking up all the irritating sounds in the room—beeping, monitors, doctors’ conversations. His green eyes scanned the room, watching the nurses and doctors move around, before returning to you in the center of the room, sweating, panting, and groaning, indicating just how close you were to giving birth.
Sonic stood leaning against the wall closest to you, arms crossed, foot tapping rapidly on the floor. He chose that corner to give space for the nurses to work, even though he’d rather spend every second by your side.
His eyes were focused on you, analyzing every expression you made after a contraction. He grabbed his own arm, squeezing it slightly.
You turned your face toward him slightly, managing a small smile through your heavy breathing.
"I didn’t know it was gonna hurt this much..." you muttered, gritting your teeth between contractions.
"Look at it this way, you always say you like surprises, right? You definitely weren’t expecting this one." He smirked slightly as he responded.
"Are you seriously making jokes right now?" you raised an eyebrow at him.
"You bet I am... maybe a little laughter helps with the pain, huh?"
Sonic pushed off the wall and walked over to your side, immediately reaching for your hand. When you felt his touch, you noticed—his hand was trembling subtly, though he masked it well, holding yours firmly.
Even though his expression was relaxed, these little signs said otherwise. It was rare to see him like this. He was usually always calm and in control.
"Are you gonna faint?" you asked him, breathless.
"Faint? Me? Pfff. No way, I’m not missing a single second of this. If I could, I wouldn’t even blink." he shot back with a half-smile, his thumb tracing circles on the back of your hand.
"You seem nervous..." your eyes scanned his face.
Sonic took a deep breath, raised his free hand, and ran it through his quills, smoothing them. He didn’t respond right away, seeming lost in thought for a moment. He was still trying to process this decisive moment in his life.
So many things ran through his mind—about you, your daughter, this long-awaited moment, the future awaiting your family. And above all, he thought about the fact that he was going to be a dad. The realization that this was real and about to happen left him speechless.
He noticed when a stronger contraction twisted your expression in pain, and he gripped your hand tighter.
"Y’know..." he murmured. "I hate just standing here... watching, helpless, not being able to help you." He gently ran a hand along your cheek.
Your hand rested on his.
"But you’re here... and that’s everything to me."
His gaze immediately softened, filled with love and admiration. A genuine smile spread across his muzzle.
That’s when his attention was pulled away by the doctor speaking.
"She’s crowning! Come on, push hard!"
Sonic’s eyes widened instantly.
"Oh man..."
"What?" you asked, breathing heavily.
"My heart’s racing..." he laughed. "So this is what being nervous feels like, huh?"
You wanted to laugh too, but the pain was overwhelming.
At that moment, minutes felt like hours. His comforting hand squeezed yours tightly. And then, the cry rang out. That high-pitched, small, yet powerful sound.
Sonic watched the nurses move around as they performed the first procedures. He brought your hand to his muzzle and placed a small kiss on it.
Then the nurse came over with a tiny bundle wrapped in pink blankets, carefully placing it in your arms.
Sonic froze, his jaw dropping slightly as his wide eyes stared in awe at the little blue hedgehog in your arms.
It was as if the world had stopped for him in that moment.
You held your little one with a look of joy and contentment, then turned your gaze to Sonic, immediately noticing the shine in his green eyes. He wasn’t crying, but he seemed completely stunned by the scene before him.
"Just look at her..." he whispered, hesitantly reaching out toward his daughter.
"She looks just like you..." you chuckled softly, adjusting her in your arms so he could get a better look.
Sonic ran his fingers along her forehead, as if touching the most fragile thing in the world, admiring her soft blue fur.
He gave a silly smile, looking at you.
"Dang... you’re the bravest person I’ve ever seen..."
"Me...?" you raised an eyebrow.
"Yeah, you. You just brought this beautiful little princess into the world... That’s straight-up heroic... Thank you for this gift."
You smiled gently at him. Sonic sat next to you carefully, wrapping an arm around your shoulder, his free hand still stroking the fur and soft quills of the tiny hedgehog girl.
"I’m just gonna say it—I got no clue how to be a dad." he said in a playful tone, finally breaking the silence, resting his chin on top of your head.
"I don’t know how to be a mom either." you replied quietly.
"We’ll learn... together, like we always do."
You relaxed against him, completely forgetting the exhaustion and pain from earlier, closing your eyes.
"If she inherits your speed... I think I’m doomed."
He laughed happily.
"You’re tellin’ me you don’t love the idea of two Speedy hedgehogs in your life?"
"Actually... doesn’t sound bad at all..." you murmured. He let out another soft laugh, kissing the top of your head.
He didn’t know where to start in this new life as a father, but he knew for sure—he was ready for whatever came next.
Tumblr media
Shadow
The sound of monitors filled the room, and all that movement only heightened the anticipation of the black hedgehog.
At that point, he couldn’t tell if time was passing too fast—considering it felt like just yesterday he found out about the pregnancy—or too slow, since it felt like he’d been standing there for an eternity, waiting for the moment to come.
He stood beside you like a statue, arms crossed, almost completely still except for the rise and fall of his chest as he breathed and the movement of his eyes as they followed every motion of the doctors around and scanned to see how you were doing.
He crossed his arms tighter when he saw your expression twist slightly from another contraction. You were sweating, panting, preparing for the final moment.
Your eyes turned to him from time to time, searching for support—seeking his support, that strong pillar who had always stood by you through anything. But each time your eyes met his, he looked increasingly unsettled, even if his posture remained firm.
“Shadow...?” you called, your voice shaky as you tried to reach for his hand.
He reacted immediately, as if snapping back to reality. He moved even closer, resting one arm on the bed and grabbing your hand tightly, his touch bringing a warm and comforting feeling.
“...I’m here... Focus on your breathing...”
His voice came out firm and low. But you knew him too well not to notice the subtle touch of emotion in every word. Shadow was fighting an internal war.
He had already faced formidable enemies, survived near death, stared pain down countless times. But none of that had prepared him to see you in pain—and worst of all, to be unable to do anything to help.
Then you cried out again as another strong contraction hit.
He squeezed your hand tightly and leaned forward, resting his forehead against yours. He heard the doctor say something about dilation and pushing, followed by a “You’re almost there...”
That was when he felt a tight grip around his heart. His heartbeat pounded violently, and he felt more tense than ever before. For a moment, he could barely breathe.
He was nervous, tense. He closed his eyes tightly.
In a flash of light, you felt his hand release yours, and the warmth of his forehead against yours vanished. With a crackle of energy, he disappeared from the room.
The nurses beside you widened their eyes in surprise, just like you, who looked at the spot where he had been moments before.
“Shadow?!” you called out, confused.
But before anyone could say anything or you could even start to panic, another bright flash of light—and there he was again, back in the same spot he had vanished from seconds earlier.
He was breathing heavily now, evident by the rapid movement of his chest, and his cheeks were clearly flushed.
“Sorry... I... I just needed five seconds... to breathe.”
Looking at his expression now, you let out a small nasal laugh. You had never seen him like that—it must have truly been an overwhelming moment for him to need to pause just to breathe.
“Nervous...?” you reached for his hand again. Your trembling hand held his.
“I held it together as much as I could...” He gripped your hand tighter.
“You’ve been through so much... you don’t need to be nervous.”
“Today is completely different from anything I’ve ever faced...” He took a deep breath. “...I’ve never felt like this before...” You nodded slightly at his words.
Then your conversation was cut short by the doctor’s voice.
“She’s crowning! Come on, Mama, it’s time to push!”
Shadow swallowed hard. You groaned and squeezed his hand so hard it cracked your knuckles. But he held on, enduring the sting in his hand as he witnessed one of the most important moments of his life.
And then, all that tension inside the hedgehog melted away when he heard the faint cry and the nurses' congratulations.
His red eyes followed the movement in the room intently, still holding your trembling hand.
Then, one of the nurses brought the baby over, gently placing her in your arms.
Shadow stared in awe. She was such a tiny, fragile creature, and he felt a tightness in his chest just from looking at the little hedgehog.
He slowly reached his hand out, as if afraid that even the slightest touch might hurt something so pure.
Finally, he brushed the back of his finger gently against her fluffy cheek. He ran his finger through her black fur, then over the red stripe on top of her head.
You looked at him with tenderness—he looked like he was under a spell, so focused on just gently petting his daughter.
“Shadow...”
“She looks like me...” his voice nearly broke, heavier with emotion than he had meant.
And for a second, when you looked at his face again, you saw a stubborn tear threatening to fall from his bright eyes.
“Yeah, definitely Daddy’s little girl...” You let out a soft laugh.
Shadow stayed like that for a while longer, silently watching the delicate little girl he had created. He could barely believe it.
He was a father now, and that realization made a powerful wave of protectiveness rise within him—he felt a burning need to protect her from any harm.
And in that moment, with his family, he also felt an immense peace inside.
“I’ll never let anything happen to her...” he said firmly.
“I know...” you replied softly.
“And she’s not gonna have any boyfriends either...”
“Okay, now you’re going too far.” You let out a playful laugh, even though you knew he was being completely serious. “I always knew you’d be a doting dad like this.”
He just let out a soft ‘hmph,’ still wearing that mix of determination and affection on his face.
Even if he was a first-time father, you knew he was going to be the best one of all.

Silver
The hospital hallway felt far too cold in that moment. Silver paced back and forth in front of the room, rubbing his hands together, trying to stop how much they were shaking.
Every so often, he took deep breaths, trying to calm his pounding heart, which was beating so hard that Silver almost believed it was about to burst out of his chest.
His head was full of a thousand thoughts and worries. He tried to focus his mind, but all the nervousness brought on by the moment was distracting him.
“You’re gonna be a dad today, Silver... a real dad...” he murmured to himself, repeating it like a mantra, as if trying to convince both his brain and his heart at the same time. Maybe, once he realized this was truly happening, it could ease some of his anxiety.
He had stepped out of the room a few moments earlier, his golden eyes watching the door. He wanted to go back in, but he thought his nervousness would only get in the way. He didn’t want to be a burden during such an important moment.
He jumped in surprise when the nurse suddenly opened the door.
“Mr. Silver? She’s asking for you...”
Taking another deep breath, Silver stepped forward with determination and walked back into the room. If you were calling for him, then he had to be strong to support you, too.
His eyes immediately found you again. He saw you panting, your face twisted in pain, and felt a tightness in his chest. Without wasting a second, he rushed to your side.
“I... I’m here!” he said, stopping at your bedside, grabbing your hand.
You smiled, despite the exhaustion, squeezing his hand tightly.
“Took you long enough...”
“I was...” he swallowed hard. “...talking to myself.” He scratched the back of his neck.
“It’s okay... Are you feeling calmer now?” He looked away for a moment but quickly looked back at you, now more determined, though the nervousness was still clear on his face.
“Yes, yes! I feel better now...” You nodded at him. The doctor gave instructions while Silver remained there, not paying attention to anything except you, watching your tired expression.
He squeezed your hand tighter, but even then, he couldn’t stop his own hand from shaking. For a moment, he thought he might be even more nervous than you were.
He was truly trying to be as strong as he could. But this was different from anything he had ever experienced. It wasn’t a mission, or a battle, or some disaster to prevent.
It was a pure and delicate moment. But also frightening in a way he had never felt before.
“You’re gonna make it. I believe in you,” he said, resting his forehead against yours, breathing heavily.
You groaned in pain at that moment, and a few silent tears slipped down your cheeks.
“Hey... hey, look at me...” he pleaded, his voice cracking. “I’m here. You’re strong. You’ve always been strong. Everything’s going to be okay. I believe in you... You’re being so strong, I’m so proud...”
He knew how hard it was. He knew you were exhausted. But he also knew he had never seen anyone as incredible as you in that moment.
Then the final moment came, and Silver clenched his eyes shut, just holding your hand as he heard your scream of pain.
But then he heard it—his ears twitching toward the most incredible sound he’d ever heard. That soft little cry filled the room.
He didn’t look right away, only listened to the nurses moving around. He gently kissed your forehead while you were still panting from exhaustion—he himself feeling suddenly mentally drained.
The nurse approached both of you, and Silver stepped aside a little, giving her space to place the baby in your arms—a tiny bundle of soft white fur, so small and delicate.
In that moment, Silver froze. Time seemed to stop and everything around him faded.
“I can’t believe it...” he murmured, his golden eyes wide.
You looked at him, still sweating and exhausted, but smiling softly as you whispered,
“She’s beautiful, isn’t she?”
He nodded, unable to speak. His trembling hand reached out and touched her tiny, soft quills. When he felt the fluffiness of his daughter’s fur, he couldn’t help but let out a raspy, joyful chuckle.
When you looked at him, you saw his eyes glistening. He bit his lip, trying to hold back the tears, but they began silently streaming down his cheeks anyway. He sniffled quietly, looking at you.
“You were amazing... You gave me the most incredible gift of my life...”
“Silver...” You felt the emotion rise in you too, to the point you were almost crying with him. “Here... hold her.”
Gently, you brought the baby closer to him. He quickly wiped his tears with his arm and immediately reached out. With the utmost care in the world, he took his daughter into his arms, holding her close to his chest.
“Hi, little one...” he whispered. “I’m your daddy... and I swear, I’m gonna be the best dad in the world for you, and I’m gonna give you the best world to live in...”
“You’re already the best dad in the world, Silver...”
He turned toward you, his eyes still damp, with the purest smile you had ever seen on him.
“Well... I think being the best dad in the world still isn’t enough for her... I’ll have to be even better.” You chuckled softly.
“I’m sure you will be...” You looked at him with admiration, seeing how deeply he already loved the tiny baby in his arms, and you knew with absolute certainty—he had been made to be a father from that moment on.
Tumblr media
Scourge
While the whole room was bustling, Scourge was leaning against your bed, arms crossed, one leg bent, sunglasses pushed up on his forehead, and as always, wearing his signature jacket. He carried a confident smile on his face.
“Tch, this’ll be a breeze. I seen way worse. Ain’t no baby bein’ born gonna rattle me. I mean, c’mon — we talkin’ ‘bout me here.” He laughed confidently, running a hand along your arm to gently caress you.
“I just want to see your face... You won’t be able to handle the emotions...” you said, panting.
“Easy there, babe. Don’tcha worry — I can handle anythin’.” He said, still smiling, leaning in to kiss your forehead and squeezing your hand when you groaned in pain from a stronger contraction.
“She’s crowning, almost there!” the doctor said.
“Oh, I wanna see. I’m good ‘n ready to watch my kid be born.” He said, letting go of your hand.
“Scourge... no...” you tried to warn him, knowing him all too well and fearing how he might react.
“I ain’t scared o’ a little blood, alright? Relax.” He whispered, winking at you, stepping away and heading to the foot of the bed, just behind the doctor and nurses.
“Let’s see what we got here...” he said confidently, but the moment he caught sight of the scene, his eyes widened, his breath hitched, and his words died in his throat.
Scourge felt his vision blur and his balance waver.
You noticed his sudden silence, found it strange, and immediately grew worried.
But before you could even call for him, a loud thud filled the room.
Scourge collapsed backward onto the floor, his sunglasses flying across the room.
From where you were, you could see him sprawled out on the floor unconscious. You brought a hand to your face in embarrassment, but honestly, you weren’t even surprised.
“He said he could handle it, huh?” a nurse raised her brow.
“He did.” You watched two other nurses crouch down to check on him.
“They always say that.”
--*--
Slowly, Scourge opened his eyes, his blurry vision beginning to focus on the hospital room. He was sprawled out in a chair, a bit of ice resting against his head. He flinched slightly at the pain from the likely impact.
His eyes scanned the room, landing on your figure in the bed, staring back at him, completely unimpressed, while you held the baby in your arms.
“She’s already born...?” he asked, slowly sitting up, tossing the ice onto a nearby table. You gave him an amused smile.
“Yup... you missed it, tough guy.”
He stepped to your side, but when he looked at his daughter, his eyes immediately widened. He was speechless, his heart pounding as he looked at that delicate little creature.
She had light green fur, messy quills like his, her eyes still closed, peacefully sleeping in your arms.
“So this... is my daughter...” he said more to himself, trying to believe what he was seeing.
“That’s right.”
“I... I wanna hold her!” he said, more excited than he meant to.
You laughed, adjusting her in the blankets, reaching out. Scourge didn’t waste a second, holding her with all the gentleness he could manage.
A big, goofy smile spread across his muzzle. His expression softened in a way you’d never seen before. That is, until she let out a small yawn, and he froze, then burst out laughing with excitement.
“You gotta be kiddin’ me... She’s... perfect. Damn it, I already love this lil’ troublemaker way too much.” He hugged her closer to his chest.
He smiled crookedly, and you noticed his blue eyes starting to well up. When he realized you were watching him, he turned his back.
“There’s... way too much freakin’ light in this hospital, okay? That’s why my eyes look like this. I ain’t cryin’...”
But even so, you still heard him sniffle softly.
You couldn’t hold in your laughter. He really was impossible—but you were certain he’d be a great dad.

Bonus: Scourge’s Second Daughter
Once again, he was leaning against the bed, his hand intertwined with yours as you both waited for this moment once more. For you, it was the same anticipation, the same anxiety to meet your second daughter. For Scourge, he thought it’d be a walk in the park.
“I been through this once, babe. This time I’m emotionally bulletproof, swear on it.” he said with a confident grin on his face. “This time, I will see my kid bein’ born.”
You simply raised an eyebrow in silence.
“Really?” you questioned.
“Why ya makin’ that face? I’m ready this time, promise. Ain’t gonna be no hassle.” He winked at you.
“I can see the head! She’s starting to crown,” the doctor announced, making Scourge beam.
“Welp, better get over there. I ain’t missin’ this moment!” He leaned in to kiss your forehead. You just rolled your eyes, choosing not to stop him, though you still feared what was coming.
He once again stood behind the nurses, arms crossed.
“Look at her — she’s really comin’ out...” he said with a grin. His blue eyes locked on you, watching your face twist with pain. “See? Told ya I ain’t faintin’ this time!” he said proudly.
But when he looked again at the scene he had been so eager to witness, his eyes widened.
“...Okay, I ain’t never seen that part before...” he said, voice cracking slightly before he staggered back, his vision fading again.
And once more, you heard the loud, dull thud. Your eyes shifted to see Scourge passed out cold on the floor again.
“...Are you seriously fainting again?!” you said, exasperated—even knowing full well he couldn’t hear you.
--*--
He woke up later, groaning softly, feeling the ice pack against his head again.
His eyes immediately focused on you in the bed, holding the baby in your arms. Beside you, the older daughter sat on the bed, curiously watching her dad.
“This time... I managed to see a lil’ more...” he said, rubbing his face with his hands.
“Before hitting the ground again...” you replied with a smile. He looked at you, raising an eyebrow.
“Ugh... this one hurt more than the first...” he grumbled, slowly getting up from the chair he was slumped in and making his way over to you. He immediately reached out a finger to stroke the new baby’s forehead, then used his other hand to ruffle the older daughter’s quills.
“Ah, screw the pain. You two are worth every damn faint in the world.” He laughed, leaning down to kiss your forehead.
You adjusted the baby in your arms and gently handed her to him to hold.
“Now I got two lil’ brats… And I love every single one o’ ya way more than I should.” He flashed that big, goofy grin again.
You smiled, tired but happy.
“Well, tough guy, how many fainting spells do you think it’d take for you to witness an entire birth?”
“Oh, I’d pass out a hundred times if I had to...” He smirked, showing his teeth.
“...I think you better settle for just two daughters then...” You laughed, watching him pout for a second, only to make that dopey face again when the little one stirred in his arms.
And you knew, under all that hardened exterior he had, deep down he was an amazing father — and he’d take just as good care of both little girls as he did of you, even if his parenting methods weren’t always the most conventional.

Sonic
It was still quite early, and the sound of mischievous laughter filled the backyard. The little hedgehog walked by carrying a box that looked much bigger than him, placing it on the green lawn of the garden.
“Check this out, Dad, I found more stuff we can use.” The little one’s green eyes looked up, spotting Sonic, who just chuckled and reached out to ruffle the spikes on the boy’s head.
“Nice one, kid, we’re gonna build the best racetrack right here.”
“Then I’ll beat you!” the little one smiled, showing the gap from a recently lost baby tooth.
“You’ll have to be faster than me!” Sonic winked at him, crouching by the box, grabbing some cloths, and in the blink of an eye, vanishing from his son's sight, leaving behind only a trail of blue blur.
Grunting, the little hedgehog grabbed more items from the box and dashed after his father, leaving a small blur in his path.
He stopped right next to Sonic, his eyes widening at what he had made.
“Dad... is that a loop made of slides?!” The young one’s jaw dropped, staring at the improvised and probably not-so-safe construction of three kids’ slides glued together with wood, nails, and tape, forming a small loop.
“Well, I tried at least. A bit of adrenaline is always welcome.” Sonic crossed his arms, his green eyes scanning his son for a minute before a mischievous smile crept up his lips. “Son... race to the starting line!”
Without giving the little one time to reply, Sonic had already vanished again, leaving only the blur behind.
“Hey! That’s cheating, Dad!” he yelled, but quickly ran too, determined to make it on time, stopping beside his father. “I’m gonna tell Mom you’re cheating.” He said with a pout.
“The backyard’s neutral territory, kiddo. Your mom can’t hit me here... and it wasn’t cheating... just a little dad advantage.” Sonic laughed, placing a hand on his waist.
“We’ll see then. I’m gonna win this time...” The little one turned to face the improvised track they had built. It was a track mainly made of wood, with various objects found hidden in the attic and around the house, forming the perfect race path—though not exactly the safest.
“Whoever loses has to take the trash out for a week...” Sonic muttered, stretching to get ready.
“I’m in... I’ll even throw twice as much trash just to give you more work...” The little one teased his dad, quickly stretching, hopping in place, then getting into starting position.
“Alright, kid...” Sonic mirrored the stance. “On three... One...” The countdown had barely begun, and Sonic felt the familiar breeze of something supersonic breaking the sound barrier, seeing only the small blue streak left behind as his son had already started. “Clever, trying to beat your old man with dirty tricks, huh?” Sonic laughed, dashing off after him, catching up to the little one quickly.
“If you can do it... I can too...” He jumped over an obstacle, landing hard on one of the planks, causing part of the track to collapse behind him. Sonic barely managed to jump over the broken wood, gasping, curling into a ball, and chasing his son with a Spin Dash.
The little one looked back, eyes wide, then grunted seeing Sonic right behind him.
“Give up, Dad!” he shouted, speeding through the loop made of slides. Then, he stepped on a plank and launched himself upward. Sonic exited the Spin Dash, running normally again, a proud smile spreading across his face as he saw his son, happy and full of challenge.
However, his eyes widened when he heard the wood of the track cracking, looking ahead—the exact spot where the boy would land was completely shattered after all the chaos of the race.
With a determined look, he boosted forward, using a chair to launch himself upward, catching the little hedgehog who let out a small yelp of surprise as he was grabbed.
Landing safely on the lawn with his son in his arms, the two fell on their backs and stayed there.
Then, Sonic started laughing, a content smile on his muzzle.
“What are you laughing at?...” the little one asked, panting.
“Nothing, nothing, kid...” Sonic propped himself on his elbow, looking to the side at the little one. “You did great, but you’ve still got a long way to beat your old man.”
The little one just sighed.
“I would’ve won... But... Thanks for saving me, Dad... I think I would’ve had more splinters than quills if it weren’t for you...” He gave a small smile.
Sonic nudged him with his elbow, and the two sat up.
“But when I grow up... I’ll be faster than you!” the little one said with a determined look, clenching his fists.
“Ha! You bet...” Sonic affectionately ran a hand over his son’s head. “And when you do, I’ll be your number one fan...”
The two stayed there for several moments, just laughing and enjoying that father-son moment. That’s when, in front of them, a loud crash made both look up, startled, as the racetrack they’d built in the huge backyard began to collapse—wood cracking, metal clanking, and within seconds, only a cloud of dust and debris remained.
“...Can we ask Uncle Tails to build the track next time...?” the little one asked quietly.
“Definitely...” Sonic said, scratching his neck.
The back door creaked open, and you peeked out curiously, narrowing your eyes. You’d been hearing suspicious noises for a while, but after that huge crash, you had no choice but to come see what the two were up to—only to find a war zone with two very similar blue hedgehogs sitting in the middle of it all.
Their ears, almost in sync, turned back at the sound of the door opening and your approaching footsteps. Slowly, their frightened faces turned, two pairs of green eyes staring at you in fear.
“...What were you two doing out here?” you said threateningly.
They stood there frozen, sweating cold, not knowing what to say to justify the mess.
“It was Dad’s idea!” the little one pointed at Sonic, then vanished in the blink of an eye, dashing into the fields.
Your eyes followed the blue streak, then slowly turned back to Sonic, seeing his dumbfounded face and wide eyes, staring at where his son had just been.
“So? Wanna start explaining?” Sonic scratched his neck, gave a nervous laugh, then quickly ran up to you, pressing his muzzle to your face and stealing a quick kiss.
“I promise I’ll clean it all up and make it up to you later!” Then he vanished as well, the wind from his sprint ruffling your clothes.
Crossing your arms, you sighed exasperatedly, but couldn’t help the nasal chuckle that escaped. You really didn’t know what you were going to do with those two.

Shadow
The cold breeze gently stirred his black fur, the hedgehog’s ears twitching side to side, catching all kinds of sounds—mostly the constant chirping of crickets.
That’s when he picked up a sound—a small twig snapping, then the rustle of tall grass. Shadow’s closed eyes opened slowly, his red irises scanning the surroundings.
He didn’t see anything, but he knew someone was there.
Then, an electric sound—and a golden, glowing arrow was launched from the bushes. Shadow just tilted his head slightly, the energy arrow cutting through one of his quills in half and disappearing in the air behind him.
The black hedgehog was enveloped in energy and suddenly vanished from where he stood, reappearing right behind the figure hidden in the grass. The small one let out a surprised yelp, falling backward into the soft grass.
“...Still not good enough... You make too much noise.” Shadow crossed his arms.
The small black hedgehog with red streaks stared into his father’s crimson eyes, letting out a low ‘hmph.’
“You hear too much...” The little one crossed his arms, adopting an impassive expression, even while sitting in the grass.
“The goal here is to train your stealth... You can be sure enemies will hear a lot better than I do...” Shadow sighed, sitting down on the grass as well.
The little one’s eyes shifted, focusing on the window of the house.
“...My power’s still unstable... I can’t focus my Chaos Spears...” he whispered.
“Practice... you’ll get it with time...” Shadow’s hand moved to his own head, grabbing one of his quills. He winced slightly as he pulled it out, handing it to his son.
The quill was split in half, slightly burnt by the energy that had caused the damage.
“See? It was close...” The little one held his father’s quill, his eyes widening.
“...I almost hit?” he said softly, jaw dropped.
"...Yeah." Shadow confirmed.
"B-but... Dad, now that I think about it... if I had hit you... Would it have hurt a lot? I still don’t have control over my power..."
Shadow placed his hand gently on the boy’s head in a comforting way.
"I’ve been through worse... We’re here so you can learn."
The little one grunted, looking away, grabbing tightly onto his father’s quill.
"I can dodge, no need to worry about hitting me, just focus on stealth." The black hedgehog smoothed his son’s quills.
"...Okay..." The young one looked at his father, now with a more determined expression.
"Come on, one more time, watch how I do it..." They both stood up, the little one watching intently, eyes fixed on each of the father’s movements.
Shadow picked up some nearby stones from the ground, tossing three into the air. He made a motion with his hands, launching three quick Chaos Spears. The attacks flew with electric sounds, hitting their targets with precision and turning the little stones into dust.
Shadow’s gaze turned to his son, pride filling his heart as he saw the little one so impressed by his powers.
"Did you watch closely? Now it’s your turn..." The hedgehog picked up a slightly larger stone. "Ready?"
The little one clenched his fists, his face showing determination as he nodded firmly.
Then, Shadow threw the stone into the air, waiting for his son’s attack.
The little one stepped back a few paces, trying to calculate the attack’s trajectory. He panted, then made a motion with his hand, launching a single Chaos Spear.
The attack flew quickly in a straight path toward the target.
However, just a few centimeters from hitting the stone, the yellow strike veered off course suddenly, heading straight toward a nearby power transformer on a street pole, causing a small explosion that still shook the ground.
The two hedgehogs, wide-eyed, watched the scene, the explosion’s glow lighting up their faces as all the streetlights and house lights in the neighborhood began to go out one by one.
"...Dad?" the boy said uncertainly.
"That happens... could’ve been worse." Shadow crossed his arms, when suddenly both of their ears turned toward the house door, hearing it creak open.
"...Did you hear that?" the hedgehog whispered to his son, closing his eyes.
"Yeah... I think my hearing is good too..." The little one took hesitant steps, hiding behind his father.
Shadow turned to him, revealing a yellow Chaos Emerald, placing it in the boy’s hands. Around them, in the once-quiet neighborhood, they could already hear the sounds of curious Mobians and approaching sirens.
"...I have a new challenge for you, son..." Opening his eyes, he looked at the boy now holding the Chaos Emerald. "Get inside the house without your mom seeing you and lie in bed to sleep." He said quietly.
"...Alright." The little one nodded, holding the yellow gem tightly in his hands. Then, he took a deep breath. "...Chaos Control!..." he whispered as softly as he could, being enveloped in a flash of energy, disappearing from beside Shadow.
You fully opened the door, wrapped in your pajamas, looking around the spacious yard. Seeing the glow, your eyes widened upon spotting the street pole with the transformer on fire.
Taking a few more steps through the dimly lit yard, your eyes focused on the figure of Shadow, standing with arms crossed, also watching the flames.
"I was looking for you... I was going to ask why we lost power, but I think I figured it out."
Shadow just let out a hum of acknowledgment, indicating he heard you.
You stopped beside him, looking at his expression—impassive but soft—he uncrossed his arms, wrapping one around your waist, pulling you closer.
"By the way... What are you doing out here at one in the morning?" You asked, giving him a suspicious look.
"...Just training."
You raised an eyebrow at him.
"And our son...?" You asked, discreetly looking around to see if the little one was nearby.
"Sleeping in his room like he should be..."
"Right... And what happened here?" You pointed at the transformer, seeing him quickly look away, the pieces starting to fall into place.
"A Chaos Spear went wrong..."
"I see... I suppose it wasn’t you who launched such a misfired Chaos Spear, huh?" You asked, chuckling, already well aware of your son’s lack of aim when using his abilities.
Shadow simply remained silent.
"Relax, love, you two aren’t in trouble... At least not as long as you keep it a secret that you destroyed the street transformer..." You nudged him with your elbow, making him raise an eyebrow this time. "Just... just try not to keep him up too late, and be careful not to hurt him when you’re training..." Your voice softened this time. Standing on your tiptoes, you kissed his cheek.
Then, you stepped away from him, walking back into the house while yawning, content that Shadow was so dedicated to training your son.
The hedgehog watched your figure disappear into the house. Then, he sighed, a discreet little smile curling at the corner of his mouth, filled with deep contentment for the family he now had.

Silver
The room was silent, the orange light of the setting sun shining through the half-open windows. In the center of the room, Silver sat cross-legged on the rug, his hands palm-up, eyes closed.
Right in front of him, the little white-furred hedgehog opened one eye slightly, the golden iris watching his father, trying to make sure he looked exactly the same.
"...Now, take a deep breath... Concentrate..." Silver said softly.
The little one nodded, filling his lungs with air, imitating his father, then gently exhaled, trying his hardest to maintain focus.
"Great... channel your energy, calmly." Silver began to be surrounded by a light blue aura.
The little one followed, a slightly weaker aura forming around him. He closed his eyes tightly, forcing his concentration, clenching his teeth and trembling a bit to try to control it.
Suddenly, his eyes flew open, no longer feeling the rug beneath him. He had begun to levitate—but without any control. He flailed his arms, trying to regain balance, but without success, he felt his body turning upside down.
"...Dad...!" he called out, exasperated.
Silver immediately opened his eyes, widening them at the sight of his son floating upside down.
"Look, you did it... Not the way we expected, but it’s a start!" he said cheerfully, levitating over to the little hedgehog, holding him in his arms and righting him in the air.
"Thanks, Dad..." he sighed in relief. "It’s harder than it looks..." His hands clung to Silver’s fur, afraid he’d start floating out of control again.
"You’ll get the hang of it... Come, I’ll help you keep your balance." Silver started guiding his son around, floating through the air. The little one panted softly, trying to keep control of his powers.
"It's making me dizzy..." he said quietly.
"Want to come down?" Silver asked, and the little one nodded.
However, as they began to descend, for a second, the hedgehog let go of the boy, causing him to lose balance a little. But instead of falling, the scare made his powers surge slightly, enveloping him in a stronger aura for a moment.
Silver’s eyes widened, and he moved slightly back as several toys, clothes, and objects began levitating around the boy.
"Whoa, whoa! Easy with those powers." Silver said, dodging the floating items.
The little one was upside down again, but this time, he laughed.
"Dad, that was fun, I could feel the power flowing!" He looked at his hands, clenching his fists, feeling the telekinesis.
"I’m impressed, you managed to lift a lot of stuff at once. You’re not feeling tired?" Silver stopped next to him, helping him upright in the air again.
"Nah, the opposite, actually..." He focused on one object, bringing it closer, making the toy spin around his finger. With a mischievous grin, he aimed and threw the object at Silver.
The hedgehog easily stopped the toy using his own power, smiling playfully in return.
"Trying to catch your father off guard, huh..." The hedgehog chuckled, levitating a pillow, making a hand motion and hurling it at the boy, who couldn’t dodge or stop it in time.
He gasped when the pillow hit him, then laughed right after, a look of joy in his golden eyes.
"...Was that a challenge?"
"Maybe. Let’s test your powers." Silver said, lifting some clothes. "Let’s just avoid injuries, or your mom will kill me..."
"Got it..." The little one smiled, levitating some stuffed animals.
A small battle broke out in the room at that moment, with objects flying and scattering in every direction. The space was filled with cheerful laughter and the sound of things hitting one another.
In no time, the relatively tidy room was completely messy, almost turned upside down, looking like a tornado had passed through.
In the center, the two hedgehogs were still going at it.
"I'm winning by the amount of stuff thrown..." the little one said challengingly, tossing three more plushies, which were easily dodged or stopped by Silver.
"Victory goes to whoever lands the most hits!" he said, throwing the plushies back and hitting his son, who gasped with laughter. "I've had to use my telekinesis to fight things way more dangerous than my own son." Silver laughed.
"I bet... But I'm not gonna lose." He prepared to launch more plushies, but suddenly stopped when he heard your voice calling from downstairs.
"Boys, what are you two up to up there?" Your words came out a little muffled, but perfectly understandable.
The two hedgehogs froze in place, finally realizing the chaotic scene the room had become. They exchanged fearful glances, their ears drooping as they heard footsteps coming up the stairs.
"Speed-cleaning competition?" Silver whispered.
"You bet..." the little one quickly nodded.
The two landed on the floor, placing the floating objects back down as well, beginning to use their powers to gather all the mess and organize it. Putting the clothes in the dirty laundry basket, the plushies back on the shelf, and the pillows back on the bed.
Silver stood beside the bed, running his hand over the sheet, making sure there were no wrinkles or signs that a telekinetic war had just taken place.
When you opened the bedroom door, you narrowed your eyes, scanning the room for any clues that indicated the mess they had made, but you only saw the two hedgehogs sitting on the rug, exactly how they were some time ago.
However, both of them had suspicious expressions, avoiding eye contact and fidgeting with the rug’s fabric.
"You were up to something, weren't you?" Crossing your arms, you stared at them.
"No! Not at all." Silver waved his hands, trying to dismiss the question.
"Yeah... We didn’t do anything..." the little one still avoided eye contact, fidgeting his fingers impatiently.
Looking around the room again, you let out a nasal chuckle.
"Well... As long as you can fix the mess before I see it, like you just did, I don’t see a problem... Have fun." You turned around, closing the door behind you.
The two sighed in relief the moment you closed the door.
"That was close..." Silver scratched his neck.
"Yeah..."
"Well, next time, we’ll play somewhere that’s not your room..." Silver placed his hand on his son's head, gently ruffling it.
"I like that idea... there's that tennis court nearby, we could use the tennis balls, right?" the little one suggested, leaning into his father’s touch.
"Good one, kiddo, we’re definitely going there." Silver smiled happily. "Come on... let’s get something to eat, you must be tired." Standing up, he helped the little one up too, both leaving the room cheerfully, eager to spend more time in these friendly competitions.

Scourge
It was early morning, the first rays of sunlight were already coming through the window. Scourge walked slowly down the hallway of the house, entering the kitchen. He yawned loudly, his eyes still half-closed from just waking up.
He wasn't wearing his jacket or his signature sunglasses yet. He scratched his neck, running a hand through his messy quills, trying to fix them.
Stopping in front of the kitchen counter, he grabbed a mug from the cupboard and poured himself some coffee. He began sipping it slowly, looking for a bit of caffeine to wake himself up.
But he had barely made it halfway through the mug when he grunted, feeling a solid hit to his side just below the ribs.
He recoiled, placing a hand on his side, looking over to scan—and raising an eyebrow when he saw the little green hedgehog, with sky-blue eyes just like his.
"What the hell...?" Scourge asked impassively.
"Time for our daily throwdown, Dad! I'm provin’ I’m the tougher one!" He clenched his fist, growling and going all in for another punch at his father. Scourge easily caught the little fist with his larger hand, holding the boy’s hand firmly.
"Seven in the damn mornin’? Ya kiddin’ me, kid?" The little one tried to dig his tiny claws into his dad’s arm to make him let go. But it didn’t even tickle Scourge.
"I was catchin’ ya off guard, old man!" He bit his dad’s arm, but again, to no effect.
Letting out a nasal laugh, the green hedgehog released his son’s arm, bent down, wrapped his arms around him and lifted him up. The boy’s arms instinctively went around his father's neck, growling softly despite his clearly flushed face.
"Cool it, kid, or I’ll show ya who the real old man is ‘round here." Holding his son in his arms, he picked up the mug with his free hand, taking a sip of coffee. "Want a cookie?" he asked the child, in a softer voice than he intended. He saw the boy nod.
Grabbing the cookie jar and opening it, he brought it close to his son, watching the tiny hand let go of his neck and reach into the jar, grabbing a cookie and putting it in his mouth.
"Heh… ya somethin’ else, y’know that? Kinda adorable." Scourge chuckled.
"…Shuddup…" he muttered, clinging tighter to his father's fur.
Both their ears twitched toward the kitchen door as they heard footsteps approaching, their blue eyes scanning until they saw you enter, rubbing your eyes.
"Good morning, boys..." you murmured, passing by the two and grabbing your own mug.
"Mom!" the little one practically jumped from his father’s arms, running over and hugging your legs. Kneeling, you picked him up too.
"Hm? What’s the problem? Stay in your dad’s arms..." You smiled at the boy, smoothing out his messy green quills.
"…Gotta beat Dad in a fight… no matter what…" Scourge raised an eyebrow, a playful smile spreading across his face.
"Beat me, huh? Kid, ya can’t even reach the damn cookie shelf!" The green hedgehog laughed, heading to the sink to wash his mug.
The little one growled again, now jumping from your arms and charging at Scourge with clenched fists, ready to throw another punch. The hedgehog laughed, easily dodging the first hit and blocking the second.
"Cool it, hothead… damn, ya really are my kid, huh?" Scourge laughed again, dodging yet another punch from the kid. "Yo, those tiny fists’a yours actually sting a bit, ya know?" He turned to you. "Hey, gimme a hand, would ya? Your kid’s tryna knock me out here."
"You’re the one who encouraged him to be like this, now deal with it." You said quietly, watching the little one charge again. Scourge wrapped his arms around him, lifting him up.
"Admit ya lost, Dad!" He squirmed in Scourge’s strong arms.
"Never… But keep swingin’. When ya reach the cookie shelf on your own, then maybe I’ll say ya won…" He laughed again, hugging his son, the little one blushing again and wrapping his arms around his father's neck but refusing to say anything about it.
"Well… at least Mom likes me more…"
"Hold up..." Scourge turned to you. "That true or what?" he asked, indignant.
"I’m not getting into your battle of egos..." Turning around, you went to wash your mug in the sink.
Putting the little one down, Scourge quickly walked up to you, wrapping his arms around your waist.
"C’mon, ya like me more, don’tcha?" Scourge laughed.
"I’m not picking between you two, you both know I love you equally..." You let out an exasperated sigh, but kept washing the mug.
"Dad! Hands off’a her!" the little one said, grabbing his father’s fur to pull him back.
"Back off, runt, she’s been in love with me way before you even existed!" Scourge said, clinging tighter to you.
"Could you two stop this silly jealousy between yourselves?" You turned your head, watching the scene behind you.
"Never!" they said in unison, continuing to cling to you.
The little hedgehog began headbutting Scourge’s leg.
"Feel my quills!" he said, determined.
"You tryna hurt me or give me a freakin’ massage with those fluffy lil’ things?" he teased.
"I’m wanna beat ya!" He used all his strength to try to push his father, but to no avail.
"Yeah? But ya won’t…" The boy only growled. "Hey, tell you what, call it a tie an’ I’ll hook ya up with somethin’ real tasty later…" Scourge said with a grin, releasing your waist and holding his now no-longer-attacking son.
"What kinda snack we talkin’…?" The little one let himself be picked up again.
"The cheesy kind..." He smoothed his son's quills, fixing them.
"Deal..." He leaned into his father’s touch, gently holding his green fur.
"Aight, champ, time for some action flicks on the TV."
"I want one with big explosions ‘n stuff!" the little hedgehog said excitedly.
"You got it, little man."
Your eyes scanned the two disappearing through the living room door, their laughter continuing in there. Shaking your head, you couldn’t help but chuckle. It was amazing how they not only looked so alike, but also shared exactly the same energy.
And even though you had no idea what to do with the two of them, you knew deep down in your heart that you loved them both way too much.

Can I request nsfw of Shadow x fem!hedgehog (or just mobian) reader on their wedding night?
Night of Passion (NSFW)
Tumblr media
Pairing: Shadow x Fem!Hedgehog!Reader
Genre: Smut, Romance
Rating: E (Explicit +18)
Warnings: NSFW, Slight Dirty talk, Slight Breeding Kink
A/N: Thanks for the request! For some reason I really like writing smut with Shadow. It makes me think, I've never written anything like this with Silver or Scourge. Who knows, maybe I'll write it in the future. I hope you like it!
--*--
Not only had the day been amazing, but everything that happened felt perfect—from the small details to the more technical parts. Beyond the ceremony, which wasn’t just beautiful but truly unforgettable, it was lit with emotion and would definitely remain etched in both of your memories forever.
You had been watching Shadow’s posture the whole time; he wore a peaceful expression. It had been a long time since you’d seen him look so calm and at ease, even surrounded by so many people.
Throughout the event, he kept exchanging discreet smiles with you, and every time you caught that beautiful smile on his muzzle, your heart skipped a beat.
And the anticipation for the final moment of that night only grew stronger with each passing second.
--*--
The suite was spacious, calm, and quiet, bathed in the soft glow of candles and the dim light filtering through the window. The curtains swayed gently with the pleasant summer night breeze.
Unable to wait another second, the moment you both walked through the door, he grabbed you by the waist, gently pressing you against the bedroom door. He leaned in, capturing your lips and trailing hot kisses down to your neck, one hand resting on your lower back.
"Finally..." His voice came out deep and husky, heavy with the desire that had been building since early that morning.
With a low growl, his hand moved from your waist, sliding up your back until it found the zipper of your white dress between your quills, which he slowly unzipped. Your hands intertwined with his quills as the hedgehog kept his mouth on your neck, nipping between the hot kisses.
The light, white fabric of your dress slipped down your body, pooling at your feet. Shadow's hand went back to your waist, pulling your body close to his, feeling your warmth.
He pulled back from your neck, his red eyes locking onto yours, nearly glowing with intensity.
"You’re always incredible, but tonight… you’re especially radiant," he said with a soft, crooked smile.
"Thank you. You look perfect tonight too..." You returned his smile, your hand resting on his cheek, and his hand soon covering yours.
Then, he brought his hand to his mouth, biting his glove and slowly pulling it off, carefully avoiding the Inhibitor Rings. He tossed the glove somewhere in the room—where it wouldn’t be found until the next morning—and did the same with the other one, never letting you pull away as he undressed.
Finally, all that was left on him was the black suit that fit him perfectly. When you had first seen him in it earlier that day, you could’ve sworn you forgot how to breathe.
Your hands moved to the buttons of the outfit, carefully undoing them as you started to pull off the jacket. Shadow helped, tossing the blazer aside too, loosening his tie and quickly removing it along with the white shirt underneath.
And there he was again—his black fur and that fluffy patch of white fur on his chest, fully visible to you. Without wasting time, your hand rested on the soft white fur on his chest, feeling the rapid beating of his heart.
Grunting, Shadow grabbed your thighs, lifting you. Instinctively, your legs wrapped around his waist as he walked toward the large bed in the center of the suite, gently laying you down on the mattress.
Positioning himself over you, he looked at you with complete focus.
He trailed kisses down to your collarbone as his hands explored your body with reverence, until they found the waistband of your white panties, which didn’t do much to hide what was underneath.
"You wore this just for me... I like it..." he said, voice hoarse and muffled against your collarbone.
Suddenly, he pressed his hips against yours, letting you feel how hard he was despite the layers of fur and fabric between you. You gasped when he did that, your hands gripping his back.
He continued, grinding slowly against you, wanting to show just how badly he wanted this—how ready he was.
His hands gently unclasped your bra, discarding it to the floor, and then his mouth enveloped your soft breasts, licking your nipple in slow circles, making your breathing grow heavier as the heat between you intensified.
"You’ll remember this night every time you close your eyes..." he growled softly.
"I have no doubt about that..." you whispered into his ear, making him shiver.
Pulling his mouth away from your breasts, he gazed deeply into your eyes, resting his forehead against yours, and finally began sliding your panties down. You helped, moving your leg to toss the fabric off the bed.
Breathing heavily, he wrapped a hand around his member, stroking it slowly before bringing it to your entrance, gently pressing the swollen, throbbing red tip against your hot slit, gliding it along. His breath hitched.
You couldn’t stop a soft moan from escaping, your hands lightly gripping the fur on his back. You both wanted more time for foreplay, but that tension had been building for too long. You needed to feel each other, to connect in the most intimate way possible—now.
He found your entrance with his tip, and with gentle pressure, he began pushing in, making you shudder as your stomach twisted with anticipation. His red eyes stayed fixed on your face, reading every expression.
Your eyes drifted down, watching as your bodies began to connect, and your breathing quickened.
"So wet and warm..." he murmured, pushing inch by inch inside. The sensation of being filled made you breathless, finally feeling complete for the first time.
Shadow paused, still with his forehead against yours. His breathing was hot and erratic, his body tense, as if restraining himself from going deeper too fast. One hand gripped your hip firmly, the other caressed your furred cheek with the back of his finger.
"Are you okay...?" the hedgehog asked in a low, raspy voice, gently stroking your quills to comfort you.
You nodded, biting your lower lip as you felt the pressure of his penetration and the slight discomfort beginning to ease. Your fingers gripped his quills tighter, keeping him close.
Shadow exhaled heavily, feeling the resistance of your inner walls. Still, he kept the slow pressure from his hips. Finally, he felt your body begin to accept him, slowly drawing him in and wrapping around him like it never wanted to let go.
He paused briefly, breathing deeply to steady himself, then gave a short thrust, testing your reaction, not wanting to hurt you.
But for you, the discomfort was fading, replaced by pleasure with each of his slow movements.
"All the way in... please..." you whispered, unable to hold back a soft, muffled moan, your half-lidded eyes locking onto his intense red ones.
Shadow let out a deep growl, and you could feel just how much arousal and anticipation was behind that sound. He pushed a little deeper, panting, nuzzling into the curve of your neck.
The hedgehog clenched his eyes shut as he felt the rest of his length slide fully into you. That wet, hot tightness gripped him hard, making his body shudder at the indescribable sensation. His claws began to unconsciously dig into your hips.
"Fuck..." he groaned low, still panting, trying to keep his control. "You’re... perfect..."
Pulling back slightly from your neck, he returned his focus to your expression. His movements at first were hesitant. He pulled out just a little, then pushed in again with care—it was clear how much attention he was paying to every single expression of yours, wanting to make sure you were enjoying it just as much as he was.
You gasped between the gentle thrusts of his member, your hands roaming his back, feeling the tension in his muscles beneath the warm fur. One of your hands slid up to the back of his neck, gently pulling him in until your muzzle met his in a slow kiss, filled with emotion and lust, all while he kept his movements steady and unbroken.
When you broke the kiss, the first thing you noticed was the look in his eyes, now burning with even more intensity than before.
His hips gradually began to build a rhythm, gaining confidence with every soft sound of pleasure that escaped from you.
The wet sound of his soft thrusts filled the room, mingling with your sighs. Shadow began to breathe more deeply, one of his hands slipping beneath your thigh, lifting it slightly to adjust the angle. He urged you to wrap that leg around his waist, then did the same with the other. Shadow let out a low growl as he felt how much deeper he could reach now.
The hedgehog brought his face close to yours, his mouth brushing yours in an almost-kiss.
"You’re squeezing me so tight..." he moaned against your mouth, running his tongue across your lips before lightly biting your lower lip.
You could only answer with a broken moan, feeling his tip reach deep, nudging that internal spot that made you see stars. And your reaction didn’t go unnoticed by your husband, who now began focusing on hitting that exact spot, with no intention of stopping anytime soon.
Shadow was starting to feel hotter and hotter, sweat now beginning to drip through his black fur, mixing with yours.
Then, his hips began to thrust with more force, the movements becoming more precise, the friction intensifying, the sound of skin against skin growing louder throughout the suite, overtaking every other noise.
"I want to fill you... until it takes..." he panted against your mouth. Your hands gripped his fur tightly as your pleasure-fogged mind processed his words, your eyes widening. Suddenly, an even stronger heat surged through your body, and you couldn’t deny it—the idea turned you on even more.
"My love..." you managed to whisper, your voice breaking from the moment’s intensity and full of emotion. You felt him raise his head slightly, nibbling your ear.
"I want to see you carrying my child..." Shadow growled against your ear, his voice rough, burning with heat. "You’ll walk around with my scent..."
With every word, his thrusts grew stronger, deeper. You felt his cock pulsing inside you, his movements now becoming erratic but no less intense—and you knew what that meant. He was close. Very close.
"You’re going to give me a child... and I can’t wait..." He bit your shoulder hard enough to leave the skin sensitive, though not enough to break it, his whole body trembling on top of yours.
"Shadow..." you moaned his name, your voice raspy, your legs tightening even more around his waist, pulling him deeper—impossibly closer.
"Are you gonna come for me?" he whispered, his forehead pressed to yours, his intense thrusts not stopping for even a second.
And as if he had summoned the moment himself, you felt the overwhelming heat rising through your body, your vision going white as your climax hit you hard, making your muscles tighten around him with force.
Your claws dug into his back, a loud moan tearing from your throat, your eyes squeezing shut while your teeth clenched from the intensity.
And with you, unable to hold back much longer, Shadow buried his face back into your neck, giving one last deep thrust, fitting himself completely, grinding against your cervix. A deep, raw growl escaped from deep in his throat as he came too.
His cock throbbed hard inside you, spilling thick, hot release deep within. Every pulse of warmth made you shiver, and your legs went weak.
Shadow didn’t move for a few seconds. He just stayed there, trembling and still buried inside you, catching his breath with his muzzle pressed into your neck.
Slowly, you opened your eyes. Your trembling hands caressed his ruffled quills, feeling them soften under your touch.
"I love you..." his voice came out muffled and tired, making your heart swell with tenderness.
"I love you too, Shadow..." you replied softly, pressing your muzzle to his forehead and giving it a gentle kiss, making him sigh contentedly.
Calming down after the intense moment, he wrapped an arm around your waist more delicately and settled beside you in bed. He pulled you into a hug, your head resting against his chest, atop the fluffy patch of white fur.
Suddenly, you looked up, your gaze locking with his, and your expression turned playful.
"...Such a dirty mouth... I didn’t expect that from you..." you giggled softly.
Shadow’s eyes widened at your little tease. Even though his fur hid it, you were sure he was blushing deeply underneath.
Letting out a short “hmph,” he closed his eyes.
"...You do this to me..." You just giggled through your nose at his short reply, wrapping your arms around his neck and giving his cheek a soft kiss, coaxing him out of his defensive shell.
Shadow gave a small smile, resting his forehead against yours, tightening his arms around you.
And like that, the two of you fell asleep in each other’s arms, wrapped in the comforting warmth of your bodies pressed close.

Sonic
It was a pleasant morning with a gentle spring breeze. You were walking peacefully through the park, having just come back from the library, a small stack of books in your arms.
All around you, the Mobians in the park were going about their lives—children playing, adults sitting and chatting—everything just as it should be.
That was until you heard a sound—running footsteps, very fast ones, coming from right behind you, causing a stir wherever they passed.
That’s when a blue blur zoomed right past you, followed by the sound of the sonic boom breaking the air, and then a strong gust of wind from the speed hit your back, making you gasp softly and lose your balance.
Before you knew it, you were on the ground, your hands on the pavement, surrounded by the books that had just been in your arms.
Sighing and with a small smile, your hand reached for the first book, starting to gather them.
That’s when something cast a shadow over you.
Looking up curiously, you found yourself staring at a pair of curious green eyes and some blue quills you had seen around before.
“Whoa, that was quite a fall, let me help you...” The hedgehog knelt in front of you, helping you pick up the books.
“No need, I’m fine, thank you...” You timidly accepted the books from him, hugging them to your chest.
“Sorry about that, you didn’t get hurt, did you?” He offered you his hand, which you shyly accepted, and he helped you up.
“No, no!” You shook your head. “It’s really okay, no need to worry... I was just really clumsy, sorry for the trouble...” You averted your gaze a little, trying to hide your slightly flushed face.
“Seriously, miss, I’m just a bit too fast sometimes.” He placed a hand on his waist, observing you.
“You didn’t hurt yourself running like that, did you?” You looked at him with concern.
Sonic blinked once, then twice.
“Wait... You just fell and nearly kissed the ground, and you’re worried if I got hurt?” He crossed his arms, raising an eyebrow. “Well, that’s a first. Never met anyone like that.” He chuckled.
“Well... I appreciate your help...” You gave a warm smile.
“It was nothing, really. My responsibility...” He paused for a second. “You know, since we’re here, how about I buy you some popcorn? To make up for the fall.” He stepped forward, flashing a grin.
“Popcorn... Well, if you insist, I’d love that.” You nodded slowly.
“Great. By the way, I’m Sonic.” The hedgehog offered his hand.
“I’m [Y/N], pleasure to meet you.” You slowly shook his hand.
--*--
Sonic stood with arms crossed, tapping his foot impatiently on the ground without realizing it as he waited for his popcorn to be properly bagged.
He smiled and thanked the vendor, taking the bag, then turned around to look for you.
The first thing he saw made his heart skip a beat.
You were sitting on a park bench, a big, lively smile on your face, your books by your side, happily grabbing a piece of popcorn from the bag and tossing it to a group of pigeons that had gathered in front of you.
Sonic couldn’t help but let out a soft nasal laugh at the scene, finding it quite amusing. He began to walk over slowly, careful not to startle the pigeons.
As he got closer, he could hear you better.
You leaned your body slightly toward a scruffier-looking pigeon, probably older, that was isolated from the group.
“Here, one for you too, Mr. Pom-pom.” The pigeon cooed, pecking at the popcorn in front of it and eating.
Sonic froze as he watched, thinking it was quite possibly the cutest scene he had ever witnessed in his life.
“Hey, feeding the pigeons, huh?” He smiled, sitting on the bench beside you. Sonic also took a piece of popcorn and tossed it to the birds like you had.
“They deserve the popcorn just as much as we do, they’re just trying to survive.” You gave a sweet smile, now placing a popcorn in your mouth and chewing slowly.
“Yeah, you’re right.” The hedgehog fell silent again, watching your expression, while feeling a distinct warmth in his heart—a new and pleasant feeling.
“Thank you for the popcorn, I really appreciate it.” You looked at him with a gentle gaze.
“No problem. I’m the one who should be thankful you accepted it...” Sonic scratched the back of his head. “You know, it’s actually nice spending time with you... You’ve got this energy, it’s contagious...” He said, putting one arm along the back of the bench.
“Oh yeah?” You giggled.
“Let’s do this more often... Or, I don’t know, even now—there’s this bakery I know that sells amazing donuts. We could head there next.” He gave a wink.
“Well, if it’ll make you happy, I’ll go.” You nodded.
“Awesome. I can’t wait...” He grabbed another piece of popcorn, tossed it into his mouth, chewing with a wide grin on his muzzle, already excited to spend as much time with you as possible.

Shadow
The constant sound of water running from the tap filled the silence of the kitchen, accompanied by the sound of dishes being placed on the rack. After rinsing the last plate, you grabbed the dish towel and dried your hands.
Humming a soft melody under your breath, you turned to open the fridge, thinking about what to make for dinner.
At that moment, the front door slowly creaked open, followed by heavy, familiar footsteps you’d grown so used to hearing.
“Welcome back...” You murmured to Shadow, knowing he was standing silently at the kitchen doorway.
He responded with a quiet “hm,” then walked into the kitchen, heading to the table and slowly sitting down, crossing his arms.
“Tough day?” You asked, looking in the hedgehog’s direction, seeing him nod slowly. Smiling, you walked over to him, pulled a chair next to his, and held his hand, making him uncross his arms.
Your fingers massaged the back of his hand and his knuckles, trying to ease the tension.
“Can I do anything for you?” You asked with a smile, already seeing his expression beginning to soften little by little under your touch.
“No need...” He murmured softly.
“Let me help, you came back stressed... You’re not hurt, are you?” You placed one hand on his cheek, your thumb brushing lightly as your eyes searched for any injuries.
“No, I’m fine...” He averted his gaze, though he didn’t stop your touch.
“That’s good...” You sighed in relief, smiling. “How about some black tea with cookies? That always helps calm things down.”
Shadow murmured softly, accepting your suggestion.
Still smiling, you got up and walked to the tea box cabinet. But as soon as you opened it, a shower of tea packets fell on you.
Shadow’s eyes widened at the sight. Quickly, he jumped from his chair and appeared by your side in a flash, helping you pick up the tea packets.
“Guess gravity wins again...” You chuckled, helping him gather the scattered packets.
The hedgehog paused, frozen in place, observing your cheerful expression. He let out a quiet sigh, unintentionally smiling slightly.
Though he never said it out loud, he simply loved the energy you brought to the house—the way you could warm his heart even on his darkest days.
Your smile alone was enough to break down any wall he tried to build around himself. Somehow, that made Shadow feel good, made him feel at peace like never before, even reminding him of simpler times in his past.
His hand reached out and gently held yours, with as much warmth as you had shown him earlier.
“...Let me do it... I’ll make the tea, you can sit.” He said in a voice softer and lower than he expected.
“No, I insist. You came home tired, I can handle it.” You held his hand more firmly. Both of you stood up from the floor, placing the unused tea packets on the counter.
“I want to do something for you... You always do so much for me...” His red eyes scanned your face, seeing a bright smile spread across it.
“Can I at least help? I don’t want to give you too much work.” You said gently.
“All right... We’ll make the tea together.” Shadow nodded, starting to put away the packets he wouldn’t use.
He glanced over at you as you grabbed the kettle and started humming the sweet melody again.
Once more, he smiled faintly, completely enchanted by how easily you could make him lose his composure with such simple gestures.
And that was probably what he loved most about you. And he would make sure never to lose that—ever.
Tumblr media
Silver
The relentless rain fell outside the apartment, the sound of it hitting the window dominating the atmosphere, and if it weren’t for the heater in the corner and the warm blanket over him, Silver would probably be shivering from the cold.
The hedgehog curled further into the blanket, trying to draw more warmth. He furrowed his brow, feeling his nostrils begin to itch again, and unable to stop it, he sneezed softly, bringing his forearm up in front of him.
Sniffling quietly, he grunted, clearly unhappy with his current condition. He really didn’t like being sick. But after a fight against some badniks in the rain, he couldn’t avoid getting ill, especially with the cold weather lately.
The bedroom door creaked softly as it opened, revealing your worried expression. A small smile appeared on your lips as you saw him.
"Hey, how are you feeling now?" you asked with a smile, closing the door behind you and approaching the bed.
"Still awful, but I think I’m getting a bit better. I don’t think I have a fever anymore," he said, slowly sitting up on the bed.
Silver looked at the tray you brought with you and set on the mattress. Various medicines, jars, cloths—it looked like a complete cold-fighting kit.
"That’s already a start..." You picked up the thermometer and handed it to Silver, who opened his mouth promptly, letting you place the device. He stayed silent and still, only sniffling occasionally, waiting for the result.
You took the thermometer and examined it.
"Good, it really has gone down a lot, but we can’t let our guard down now." Your hand reached for a damp cloth and gently placed it on his forehead. The hedgehog shivered at the contact of the cool cloth against his skin, but stayed still, just waiting for your next move.
Then, you picked up some medicine, pouring a bit into a spoon and bringing it to his mouth. Silver swallowed, then shivered at the bitterness of it.
"Sorry if it tastes too bad, it was the best medicine they had..." you said softly.
"Hey, it’s okay. I know it’s for my own good..." He smiled at you. "You take such good care of me... Maybe even more than I deserve." He scratched the back of his neck, a bit shy.
"Of course you deserve it. You always have such a kind heart with everyone, you deserve the best." You smiled, grabbing a small pitcher and pouring some orange juice.
"I could say the same about you..." He watched the glass fill with the liquid, and then you reached out, offering the glass.
"Here, this will help you a lot."
"Thanks..." He accepted with a smile, bringing the glass to his lips and drinking it all.
"Well, I guess now we just have to wait for you to get better, right?" Taking the glass back, you placed the tray on the side table next to the bed.
"Yeah, thanks to you."
"Oh, come on, you’re really strong. I’m just giving you a bit of support." You chuckled softly, looking at him sweetly. "Are you cold?"
"A little, but it’ll pass soon. The blanket’s warm..." he replied softly, starting to lie back down, pulling the blanket back up to his chin.
Suddenly, he felt the mattress sink next to him. When Silver opened his eyes, he saw you lying down beside him, pulling the blanket over yourself too.
"You’re going to end up catching a cold too..." he said, placing a hand on your cheek.
"What matters now is seeing you warm..." you replied tenderly, wrapping your arms around his body and pulling him close. Silver sighed contentedly, instantly enjoying the difference in warmth.
With a smile spreading across his muzzle, the hedgehog began to close his eyes, slowly drifting off to sleep comfortably in your arms. And he couldn’t even begin to express how grateful he was for you and for everything you did for him.
He simply knew he couldn’t live without your constant presence in his life.

Pairing: Sir Galahad x Fem!Reader
Genre: Fluff, Romance, Confort
Rating: G (General Audience)
Warnings: Mention of injuries
--*--
The gentle night breeze swept through the clearing, the rustling of the grass in the wind was comforting to hear. It was a feeling of peace and tranquility. Exactly what you needed after failing your last mission.
The river water made a low murmur as you moved your arms, one hand gripping your left shoulder, still sore from a blow taken in battle. Sighing, you looked up, appreciating the moonlight and how refreshing the water felt on that summer night.
Nearby, you heard the sound of a twig snapping, followed by the crunch of grass, indicating someone's slow approach. Hesitant footsteps, yet familiar to your ears.
Turning subtly, you faced the armored figure approaching. He stopped abruptly upon noticing your gaze. In his hands were visible towels, cloths, and a small bottle you assumed to be ointment.
For a moment, a heavy silence hung between the two of you, broken only by the distant sound of crickets, cicadas, and geese. That was until the hedgehog in front of you cleared his throat, scratching the back of his neck with his free hand.
"I had a feelin’ you wouldst be here... It’s a fine place to clear one’s mind," the hedgehog said softly, not wanting to disturb the peaceful setting.
You remained silent, still submerged in the water. The white hedgehog resumed walking toward the edge of the lake.
"May I join you?" he asked hesitantly.
After thinking for a moment, you slowly nodded.
"Of course, Galahad..." you whispered, returning to your task of cleaning your physical wounds and trying to ease the psychological ones.
The metallic sound of him removing his armor filled the air until silence fell once more, only broken again by the sound of his first step into the riverbank, entering that humid domain.
With a constant splash, Galahad began to approach you, bringing only the ointment and cloth. He stood behind you, starting to moisten the cloth with the liquid from the bottle.
Then you felt the contact of the fabric on your tired and wounded back. The touch was gentle — something to be expected from the noble knight. He rubbed the cloth slowly along your spine, washing the cuts and bruises.
His touch was tender, comforting, in a way that made it hard for you to swallow with each pass. A lump formed in your throat as you felt your nose begin to itch and your vision blur.
"Galahad..." Your voice came out cracked, full of emotion.
"Aye?" The response was soft, kind.
"I failed..." You lowered your head, squeezing your eyes shut, silent tears dripping into the river water.
"Speak not such things..." He placed a hand gently on your shoulder.
"We were supposed to be shields for the innocent... I wasn’t that, I couldn’t stop them..."
The grip on your shoulder tightened — firm, but still careful not to hurt you.
"You didst not fail... Nay, you held firm the ruins already crumblin’, what you did in battle today was nothin’ short of remarkable. Had it not been for you, not even the survivors would’ve remained..." He moved even closer in the water, the cloth in his hand now tracing the curve of your neck and nape.
"Holding up ruins isn’t enough... I’m also a Knight of the Round Table... my duty was to endure, to protect those people from the bandits... I don’t deserve the armor I wear or the sword I wield." Suddenly, after saying these words, you felt a jolt on your shoulder, and when you opened your eyes, Galahad had turned you to look into his golden eyes.
"I’ve told you not to speak so, m’lady..." He frowned. "We all know well that these vile raids by brigands have plagued all of Camelot, and they’ve been naught but cruel to the villages and their folk..." He placed a gentle hand on your cheek. "Now picture this... all the hamlets taken unawares, no time to shield themselves nor cry for aid... Those souls... they were fortunate you wert the first to arrive. I merely lent what aid I could thereafter..." He gave a comforting smile.
You hugged yourself, slightly averting your gaze, but his finger held your chin, guiding your face back to his. His expression had softened now, with a gentleness and sweetness only you had the privilege of seeing.
"Galahad... I..." You tried to say something, but the words wouldn’t come, especially now, with your eyes focusing on his white quills glistening in the moonlight and swaying gently in that pleasant summer breeze.
"Shhh..." He leaned in, resting his forehead against yours. "You art wondrous... the finest knight mine eyes have ever beheld..." He sighed heavily. "’Tis truly noble, how your heart still grieves for others... to place their lives above your own..." His hand slid down to your shoulder, tracing the cut with his finger. "You art wounded, and death could’ve claimed you... You art weary... yet your thoughts remain with all but thyself..." He let out a soft nasal chuckle.
"I can’t help it... I’ve always been like this... and maybe my honor as a knight also pushes me to act this way..." you said softly, lowering your gaze to focus on the calm water.
"And that, sweet knight, is why I do love you... I could ask for naught more than to walk this path with one such as you in mine life..." he whispered gently and contentedly, making you smile sweetly as well.
Then, he slowly began to lean in, his breathing growing quicker until his muzzle met your face, and he captured your lips in a heartfelt kiss — as was common between you two.
His hand rested on your waist, pulling you as close as possible to him. The contact of your body with his made you shiver, and you gently wrapped your arms around his neck, anchoring yourself to the purest knight in Camelot.
When you broke the kiss, both your eyes glowed with admiration and passion. A burning connection built on trust and care.
"We shall rise anew from this, together... As we always have. Though this quest may not have borne victory, come the morrow, we shall yet have another chance — to triumph, to uphold our sacred vows, and to defend the meek and the voiceless," he said hopefully, smiling warmly.
"And I can’t wait to do it by your side, Galahad..." With those sweet words, you rested your face on his chest, embracing him in a hug that he gladly returned.
And so the two of you remained in the lake, together and united by a bond greater and stronger than the ones sworn by the order of knights.

Ok I'm curious how many request do you finish before posting them? Do you post 1 at a time or wait till you finish multiple before posting?
Currently, I like to schedule the date and time of my fic releases directly through Tumblr. Before, I used to post them as soon as I finished writing.
But I realized that by scheduling the releases, I can organize myself better, take my time reviewing if needed, and even make some final adjustments. So, I finish the request, edit it properly, set the date and time I want it to go live, then move on to write the next one. Usually, I manage to finish two, so they end up being posted at almost the same time.

Important Announcement About Crossover Requests
Hey everyone! Just stopping by real quick to leave an important message for those who follow my content and fanfics here.
Starting from the date of this post, I will no longer be accepting or writing crossover stories — that is, stories that mix Sonic with other franchises or universes.
“But why?”
I always do my best to deliver stories filled with emotion, care, and fidelity to the characters you love — and that includes respecting their personalities, settings, and the full construction of their original universes. And, as you can imagine, when it comes to multiple franchises outside of Sonic, I often don’t have enough prior knowledge, so I end up spending a lot of time researching, trying to understand how that world works, how the characters behave, and how it can connect with Sonic.
And while it’s a fun challenge, this process has been taking up a lot of my creative time — time that I would much rather invest with more love and focus on what I truly adore: the Sonic franchise!
So, because of that, I will no longer be doing crossovers from now on. I want to use this space and my energy to fully dedicate myself to the characters and themes that truly inspire me within the blue hedgehog's universe.
Please don’t insist on requests, okay? That really helps me keep my creative flow light and healthy.
Thank you for your constant support and understanding! You’re all amazing, and I can’t wait to keep delivering the best of what Sonic has to offer.
I only have one more crossover fanfic that I had already planned to write and post, in addition to the two posted today — which is Part 2 of Robian!Sonic x Yo-Kai!Reader. But that’s because I already have the ideas for it ready. That one will officially be my last crossover fic here.
Thank you for your understanding.

Pairing: Sonic x Lloyd's Sister!Reader
Genre: Fluff, Romance, Action
Rating: G (General Audience)
Warnings: Kidnapping
A/N: Thank you for the request! For the purposes of this fic, everyone in the Ninjago universe is seen as normal humans. And once again, I couldn't get anything from this universe, but I think I managed to fit some things in well enough to make the story cool, even though I don't have much affinity or knowledge about the world of Ninjago.
--*--
The sky was gray from the rising smoke, the acrid smell of fire spreading, the roar of battle cutting through any sense of peace the day might have brought.
In a flash, a beam of golden energy cut across the horizon, tearing through the battlefield. An explosion rose in the distance, reverberating like thunder. The screams of combatants echoed, yet the enemy’s advance was imminent, the rounded robots continued toppling the forces that tried to defend their city.
In the middle of the battle, three figures ran, protected by warriors fighting off the robots. The man jumped over some rubble, holding his daughter tightly in his arms, wrapped in adorned red cloths. He panted, reaching a hand toward his wife, who was gripping the hand of their eldest son firmly, pulling him along to keep up.
What mattered now was no longer to fight. The battle was lost with those powerful robots. What he had left was to hold onto his family and look for a safe place to regroup — fighting would be pointless now.
“Hold on, we’ll be out of the city soon. You’re going to be safe,” the man shouted, turning his back to act as a shield against the flying debris from another robot-caused explosion.
Grunting in pain, he stood back up and resumed running.
Suddenly, the man was grabbed by the neck and slammed against a nearby wall. The blue robot with red eyes analyzed him, its gaze focusing on the child in his arms.
“Garmadon!” the woman shouted, placing the boy behind her for protection.
“Misako… Run… Take [Y/N] and Lloyd and get out of here. I can handle this…” he said, panting, as the pressure on his neck increased.
The woman hesitated, but in a burst of courage, she darted under the robot, grabbing the daughter from her husband's arms, holding her close, still pulling the boy by the hand. She ran, but in a swift motion, the robot hurled the man to the ground and quickly launched itself toward the woman, grabbing the collar of her shirt, still focusing on the child.
“Let me go!” She tried to elbow the robot, but it easily dodged and, in a blink, was in front of her, snatching the child from her arms.
Misako fell to the ground, eyes wide as she saw her daughter in the enemy’s arms. The boy clutched her hand tightly on the ground.
Suddenly, in a black blur, Garmadon was in front of the robot, a black katana in his hands.
“Give me back my daughter. Right now. Or suffer the consequences…” he threatened, but the blue robot remained unfazed, using small thrusters to hover in the air, still holding the child wrapped in cloths.
With a growl of rage, Garmadon stepped forward, striking the robot and aiming for its head. However, the robot raised its hand, and with a metallic clang, the blade was blocked.
“But how…” Garmadon said in shock, regaining composure and holding his attack stance.
He huffed, preparing to run again, when suddenly, behind the robot, a yellow light appeared in the air, seeming to cut through space itself. A diagonal rift began to open and expand.
Inside the rift, a man was seated on a somewhat technological chair, tapping his fingers impatiently on the armrest, which was filled with colorful buttons. When his eyes, hidden behind lenses, focused on what lay beyond the rift, he grinned broadly, his mustache twitching as his smile grew.
“Well, well…” He leaned forward, intrigued by the scene. “Good job, Metal, you found exactly what I needed... Initiate Eggpaw retreat order from the new dimension... Return to base...” he said after pressing a button. The blue robot nodded, beginning to back away.
Suddenly, a hand grabbed the robot’s foot, holding it tightly. The robot let out a hiss and looked down.
Eggman looked at the rift curiously.
“What’s the problem?” Then he stood up, finally seeing what was on the ground. “Well, well… what a happy family… You wouldn’t happen to be the so-called Emperor of this city, would you? Now I’m sure my plan is perfect. That child will be very powerful…” He crossed his arms.
“I won’t let you take my daughter!” Garmadon clung tighter to the robot’s foot in a desperate attempt. But Metal simply jerked his metallic leg, throwing Garmadon to the ground again. His sword slipped from his hand, being flung far away as well.
The blue robot hissed again as it continued to back into the rift, which promptly closed, leaving behind only the evil laughter of the man who had just stolen their daughter.
At the portal’s location, only sparks remained, slowly fading. Garmadon knelt on the ground and punched the earth with force, sending up a cloud of dust. He clenched his teeth. Behind him, his green-eyed, blonde-haired son clung to his mother, both crying uncontrollably, still trying to process the loss of the little one.
In the distance, the rounded robots began retreating in formation, passing through similar portals. They were still attacked by warriors, but easily deflected the blades as they continued their path out of the dimension.
The man clenched his fists.
“I’ll find you someday…” he promised only to himself, remaining silent, wondering what the next steps in life would be without his little daughter by his side.
--*--
The sun shone brightly above the trees. The day was pleasant in Mobius, filled with the cheerful singing of birds and laughter in a nearby forest.
In the middle of a clearing, you stood in your combat stance, your fluffy tail with its thick fur positioned in front of you like a shield, a wide smile on your face.
Suddenly, some bushes rustled beside you, revealing a ball of blue quills that shot toward you. With a grunt and a swift movement, your tail absorbed the blow, softening the spin dash attack.
Stopping his attack, Sonic stood before you, smiling.
“You’re getting good at this...” He approached, walking around you. You just chuckled softly, placing a hand on your hip, watching his green eyes scan you.
“I learned from the best... I think I’ll make a great support for you in battle.” You turned in his direction.
“Support? Babe, you’ve got the potential to wipe out an entire frontline with your growing strength.” He stepped toward you, placing his hand on your cheek.
“Oh yeah? Then Eggman better watch out for me... and you too.” You placed your hand over his.
“Me too? Oof, and here I thought I’d be in the clear.” He laughed, leaning in to kiss your forehead gently before stepping back a bit. “Let’s head back, I’m getting hungry.”
Nodding, you began to follow him, keeping pace as he slowed down so you wouldn’t fall behind.
“So, any good memories yet?” he asked quietly, not wanting to pressure you into answering something that had already caused so much pain.
“Nothing yet... It’s like my childhood never existed, you know?” You looked down, sighing. “...Well, maybe it really didn’t. Sally told me they found me in a huge tube in a lab. Who knows if I wasn’t made just like some stupid robot.” You scratched your neck, feeling extremely uncomfortable with the thought.
“Hey, don’t say that. You weren’t made in a lab — we’ve run all the tests. You’re a completely normal Mobian... Even though your DNA is quite different, nothing indicates you were bioengineered like Shadow.” He wrapped an arm around your shoulder, pulling you close.
“Yeah... maybe you’re right.” You allowed yourself to lean into him, letting his warmth comfort you. “Someday I want to find my real family...” You looked at him with determination. “Of course, you’ll come with me and all. I need to introduce my future husband.” You laughed.
“I’m flattered, little fox.” He stroked the white fur on your back. “I’d love to meet your family, whoever they may be.”
Walking calmly, the two of you started making your way back to base.
--*--
In the peaceful silence of the night, you both lay on the grass, close to each other, simply watching the stars and the moonlight in the sky.
“You know...” you began. “Whenever I lie down on the grass, I smell something... this nighttime smell... For some reason, it reminds me of home...”
Sonic turned slightly to look at you.
“You think it could help you remember home?” he asked, already resting his hand on your fluffy ears to pet you.
“Maybe... It’s like my memory is a drawn bowstring, ready to shoot, but the archer never lets go of the arrow.” You placed your hands on your face, rubbing your eyes, trying to help even a little. “The memory of the past is right there, but it never comes to me...”
You felt a pair of arms wrap around your waist.
“Hey, take it easy... We’ll figure it out, okay? Be patient — I’m always here to help you too...” He smiled sweetly at you, making you smile a little.
But you didn’t have time to respond — your and Sonic’s communicators crackled, catching your attention. You both promptly sat up on the grass.
“Sonic... [Y/N], are you there?” Tails’ voice sounded.
“Copy that, Tails, go ahead...” you answered through the communicator on your wrist.
“Giant Eggman robots are showing up in Mobotropolis region! We need both of you urgently...”
"Understood, on my way!" you answered, looking at Sonic with determination. He nodded, and you turned off the communicator, getting up with him.
"Give me a super-speed lift?" you asked with a small grin.
"I’d never say no to you." He winked, picking you up bridal-style and dashing off in the blink of an eye.
--*--
Eager eyes watched the bizarre event unfolding before them. The ninjas took a step back, unsure whether attacking was a wise idea.
"Lloyd, the scanners are detecting distortions..." a silver-haired ninja said seriously. "It looks like..."
"The spatial distortion that led to that invasion of weird robots... Not even our technology could fight them..." Lloyd said with arms crossed, staring impassively at the yellowish rift beginning to open again before them.
"What do we do?" a red-clothed ninja with brown hair asked.
"We just observe. We don’t know what’s going to come out of there, Kai..." Lloyd said quietly, adjusting his green outfit. The other two nodded, returning their attention to the opening distortion.
When the portal finished opening, the place it revealed seemed like a normal field, but in the distance was a massive structure. The word "Eggman" was plastered on it, along with the villain’s image, featuring his characteristic grin and large mustache.
The beige-haired ninja narrowed his eyes as he observed.
"I’d recognize that beard and goofy smile anywhere..." he said, stepping forward. "From my childhood... That guy took my sister away from my family!" he said louder, starting to recall the traumatic memory of that laugh as the blue robot entered through that same rift.
"This gate is being unintentionally powered... Which means it wasn’t properly shut, so it reopened on its own, just drawing energy from something nearby." the white-clothed ninja stated.
"Then we need to take advantage, Zane. We don’t know when it’ll open again..." Lloyd stepped forward, determined.
"Are you sure? We don’t know what we’ll find there..." Kai said softly.
"...I have to know what happened to my sister... If that guy took her, I need to interrogate him, find out if she’s still alive."
"Hey, look at that field... There’s a bunch of... creatures? And they’re fighting robots?" Zane scratched his chin, confused by the scene visible through the rift.
"This is our chance—they're distracted by the battle, let’s go!" Without a second thought, Lloyd dove into the portal. Kai shrugged and jumped in as well, Zane sighed and, having no choice, leapt after the two of them.
--*--
An explosion sent robots flying everywhere. From the smoke, you leapt, your fists still pulsing with yellow energy, your tail swaying in the wind. At your side, in a blink, Sonic appeared.
"Nice job, babe." He winked at you.
"Same to you..." you smiled at him but then turned toward the lab at the top of the hill. "But... why did Eggman choose right now to unleash this legion exactly on the lab where they found me..."
"Yeah, this place was supposedly abandoned. I don’t know why he decided to start guarding it again..." Sonic said quietly, crossing his arms.
"There’s something behind this... We have to find out." Your eyes turned to the battlefield, where the other members of the Freedom Fighters were fighting nonstop against robots.
"You want to head there?" Sonic asked, already bending down to stretch.
"...We’ve already taken out the worst badniks, the others can handle the rest. Let’s go to the lab..." you said, looking at him with hope.
"On it, princess..." He immediately picked you up in his arms and was getting ready to dash off when a voice suddenly called out.
"Sonic, [Y/N], wait." Sally called, striking a robot and running toward them. "We need you... [Y/N], I need you to go to that observation tower..." she pointed to the nearby tower. "We have to disable the lab’s defenses. Sonic, take her there and come back."
Sonic opened his mouth to say something, but Sally cut him off, stopping him from refusing to leave you alone.
"We need you, she’ll be fine—there are no badniks there. She’ll catch up later. We need to break into the lab first and check what’s inside..."
You nodded slowly. Sonic just sighed and nodded once. Then, in a blink, he took off toward the tower with you in his arms, leaving only a blue streak behind.
Near some rubble, the three ninjas watched curiously.
"I’ve never seen creatures like that..." Kai said softly, creeping a little closer through the debris.
"Kai, stop right there—we shouldn’t get involved..." Zane warned.
"That fox..." Lloyd whispered to himself, catching the attention of the other two.
"What’s up with the arctic fox?" Zane looked at him, curious about his sudden interest.
"I don’t know... It’s like something in my soul pulsed the moment I saw her... A pain too ancient... But I don’t know why..." He looked at his own hand, beginning to breathe heavily. He could feel the soft touch on his hand, the squeeze of a little hand, and he could swear he heard a child’s giggle. But then he just shook his head, not wanting to let his mind play tricks on him.
"Lloyd?" Kai called.
"I’m fine... Come on, we need to investigate that lab. We don’t know what the crazy scientist is up to in there." Lloyd began leaping through the rubble, leaving the hiding spot, running through the forest shadows surrounding the area, quickly followed by the other two—who had more questions than answers.
--*--
You climbed the last step of the tower, taking a deep breath. You looked down, watching the Freedom Fighters advance up the hill, reaching the lab’s front entrance. Sonic was already among them.
"Alright, this is easy..." you clapped your hands, rubbing them together. The yellow energy reappeared, releasing sparks in every direction. Then you placed your hands on the control panel in front of you, electrocuting the system.
With crackling and sparks, the panel began to catch fire. Your eyes focused on the lab entrance, watching your allies rush inside without wasting time. Sighing again, you turned, ready to face the stairs down once more.
--*--
Sonic followed Sally through the corridors, walking beside her, doing Spin Dashes on any badniks that appeared along the way.
They stopped in front of a door. Sally placed a device on the heavy door, typed in some numbers, and the door opened promptly.
"Why did you even want me to come with you? I could’ve gone through the vents alone to save time..." the hedgehog asked, annoyed for being forced to leave you behind.
"I’m going straight to the lab’s core. We need to see what Eggman’s up to. Tails said his sensors picked up a spatial distortion right here. We need to find its source and destroy it. The others are just support..." She jumped over some debris. Sonic did the same, frowning.
Then they turned a corner, reaching the lab’s research center—a large space full of capsules, the same place where they had found you long ago.
But this time, both were surprised. Also in the room, three ninjas stood in defensive stances, looking at the two Mobians.
"Humans?" Sonic asked, confused.
"Who are you, you evolved mammals?" Kai asked, stepping forward, holding his blade tightly.
"I’m Princess Sally, and this is the hero of Mobius, Sonic..." she said quickly.
"Sonic and Sally, huh? We’re not your enemies. We saw you fighting the robots. We’re here because of that crazy scientist living here..." Lloyd promptly said.
"Oh, you must be talking about Dr. Eggman. He’s a real pain." Sonic said, shaking his head. The green-clad ninja nodded.
"Indeed... But he committed a terrible crime... He kidnapped my sister when she was just a little girl, and now I’m here to interrogate him and find out where she is..." Lloyd said confidently.
"And we’re here to locate a spatial anomaly... Well, good luck to you guys." Sonic said, turning to Sally.
"I’m going to scan the place—the anomaly should be nearby..." She started walking when her eyes landed on a cardboard box that obviously wasn’t there the first time they’d been to that place years ago. "Curious."
She crouched down, opening the box, seeing some mechanical objects and accessories. But at the bottom, there was a file folder. She pulled it out and examined it.
"What is it, Sally?" Sonic crossed his arms, looking at the document. "Project Kitsune?" He raised an eyebrow.
"Read it—it might have clues about where my sister is!" Lloyd urged, approaching the two Mobians, the other two ninjas following close behind.
"Project Kitsune, the electric fox..." Sally frowned. "This was one of Eggman’s fusion experiments, using Mobian DNA and a human child to merge the species and create the ultimate weapon—just like his grandfather did..."
Lloyd let out a quiet gasp, bending down to try to read the document.
"That photo... It's my sister!" He pressed his finger on top of a picture that was between the pages. "Exactly the age they took her from my world..." He clenched his fists.
"The Kitsune Project was a success, perfectly proving that the perfect being between two races can exist... And not only that, she inherited all the powers from her homeland. She grows healthy and strong, perfect to become my perfect soldier in the future. However, I still need to implement the proper obedience enhancement, to prevent her from getting out of control..." Sally kept reading, her voice gradually turning into astonishment.
Sonic stood behind her, mouth agape, his mind already connecting everything to you, but he didn’t want to believe it. All this time, you actually never had a childhood, you were kept in that lab until you grew up and were freed by the Freedom Fighters, and that stirred something inside him in an inexplicable way.
"She’s my sister... I knew it, she turned into that little arctic fox." Lloyd clenched his fists.
Suddenly, in the background, a transmission began on a huge screen. After some static and buzzing, Eggman’s clear image appeared, making everyone furrow their brows.
"Hello, hello to all of you, even my unexpected ninja guests. Welcome to my supposedly abandoned hideout... And how nice that you found the box with the information from my supreme research... Which was stolen from me!" He slammed his hand on his desk hard, causing the transmission to shake.
"You’re going to pay for taking her from her family and doing that to her, Egg-dumb..." Sonic stepped forward with an expressionless look.
"How noble of you, blue rat, but I suppose I didn’t even need her anymore, I already know all the data and timing of her research to create something even better..." he said seriously, leaning back into his chair.
A massive crash echoed through the place, rubble fell from the ceiling, followed by something huge and heavy that destroyed everything below as it landed. The five took steps back.
The thing roared, spreading enormous robotic wings and digging sharp claws into the ground. Its single eye focused on the three figures standing before it.
"I present to you my newest creation... Mecha-Ryu 2.0, since the first one almost killed me when it self-destructed." Eggman laughed. "It possesses the technology I used in Metal Overlord, as well as some nindroid tech that I stole, and of course, an almost organic internal system that I made using DNA from the dear little fox. In short, my perfect creation!" Eggman clenched his fists, determined.
The creature growled, striking the ground. Immediately above it, a yellowish glow appeared as a spatial rift began to open.
"Lloyd, again..." Zane said, gripping his blade tightly.
"I know... What’s your plan anyway?" He turned to Eggman.
Eggman chuckled softly.
"I’m glad you asked, dear ninja. I just want to merge Mobius with the ninja world, right here..." He raised both hands, gesturing grandiosity. "And then, I won’t just rule Mobius, but I’ll rule your world too. I’ll be the leader and build an interdimensional Eggmanland!" he said loudly, as the portal above started to grow in size.
"We can’t allow that..." Sally said to Sonic.
At that moment, you turned the last hallway, entering the room out of breath, eyes wide. In front of you was the enormous mechanical dragon. Sonic and Sally turned in your direction when they heard you, and near them stood three humans. You furrowed your brow, feeling a strange affinity with one of them.
"[Y/N]! So glad you’re here..." Sonic ran to your side, holding your hands.
"Sonic..." You didn’t even have time to say anything before you were enveloped in strong arms – and it wasn’t Sonic. On the other hand, the scent was familiar, comforting, the smell of home.
"Sister..." the ninja whispered.
"What?" you said, your voice cracking a bit as you pulled away from the hug.
"Yes, you’re my sister... I’ve spent so long looking for you." You looked into his eyes, his scent. The memory hit you like an arrow.
You remembered, even though you were so small at the time, the gentle arms of your family, Lloyd’s face, and then you remembered the cold arms of the robot that kidnapped you, the wicked laughter, the crying of those who had lost you. You remembered the pain of the experiments, the transformation into a Mobian.
Taking a step back, you gasped, holding your head from the immense pain of the memory. Silent tears rolled down your cheeks.
Sonic approached, holding your shoulders.
"Sweetheart, are you okay?" With his presence, you began to calm down, your breathing returning to normal.
"I’m okay, thank you, Sonic..." Then, you turned to the dragon.
"Eggman wants to merge your family’s world with Mobius using that dragon. We have to stop him..." Sonic whispered. You nodded.
"Yeah... brother, right?" The word felt foreign to you, but you looked at that ninja who had always been someone important to you. "We’ll talk more later... For now, how about we join forces to defeat that pile of junk."
"You don’t even have to ask..." He reached into his pocket, pulling out a pendant with a pale green stone. "Take this. Our parents asked me to give it to you when I found you... The day has finally come..."
You smiled, accepting the stone.
"Family reunion? Touching, but even that won’t stop me from completing my plan!" Eggman’s voice rang out as the monster roared, enlarging the portal even more.
Taking a deep breath, you placed the pendant around your neck, preparing for battle. However, as soon as the pendant was properly worn, a glow emanated from it, starting to spread all over you. Your eyes widened in surprise.
The glow enveloped you like magic, and when you looked back, there weren’t just one but nine dazzling tails flickering with electric energy.
"Love to see it, babe." Sonic praised, winking at you. Behind, the rest of the Freedom Fighters arrived, stopping and watching the scene, confused.
"It’s time to take down this rusty can." You extended a hand, holding Sonic’s hand, and with the other, you grabbed Lloyd’s hand. "All of us!"
Sally nodded, turning to the allies.
"Everyone, distract the giant robot!" she commanded, grabbing a rock from the rubble and throwing it at the dragon’s only eye, making it growl and glare at them furiously.
"Kai, Zane, you know what to do..." the ninja said. The other two nodded confidently, turning toward the robot.
Quickly, Zane ran in, using his powers to unleash a wave of ice energy that froze the dragon’s legs, preventing it from walking. Kai jumped overhead, charging a fiery strike and launching it at the dragon’s wings, causing a huge explosion and shattering them.
"Ready?" you asked. Sonic and Lloyd nodded, and then the three of you launched yourselves at the dragon. Sonic charged up a Spin Dash. You used one of your tails to boost him, doing the same with your brother, who brandished his sword, aiming for the dragon’s eye. You charged your power in your palms as you always did, but this time it felt stronger than ever.
The impact from the three of you was deafening, sparks flying everywhere, a massive explosion from the robot’s body, with mechanical parts scattered all over. The three of you were thrown far away but cushioned by your nine tails.
Fallen on the ground together, the three of you laughed. Sonic turned to you.
"Wow, babe, I think I just fell for you all over again..." he said with a grin.
"Well... I think we have a lot to talk about, sister..." Lloyd said softly, letting out a light chuckle too.
--*--
Mobotropolis was lit up in celebration, loud music echoing everywhere in a huge party to celebrate the Freedom Fighters for stopping yet another catastrophe caused by Eggman.
But to you, something more important than the party was happening.
In the nearby woods, now back in your normal form, you were gathered with Sonic, the ninjas, and Tails, who was preparing a device.
"I really liked this world, sister... Truly radiant. I liked your boyfriend too, cool guy, takes good care of you." He gave you a few pats on the back, making you laugh.
"Yeah... I’m really happy, you know? Not knowing about my family caused me so much pain... But now that I do, I feel relieved... I don’t feel angry at Eggman for doing all that... I’m even thankful, I found my place between two worlds..." you said sweetly, and Sonic squeezed your hand.
"I’m happy for you, sister..." He closed his eyes, holding back tears.
"All done, everyone. My interdimensional device is ready." Tails turned to the group. "You can go back to your world safely now. And if you want to come back, just activate the device." The fox exclaimed cheerfully.
"We’re grateful, fox inventor. We’ll definitely be back..." Lloyd turned to you. "And sister, I hope to see you in our world too. Our parents would be happy to see you..."
You nodded.
"Definitely, brother. I’ll just take care of a few things and come visit. I really want to take Sonic to see my homeland!" you exclaimed, and your brother smiled.
"We’ll be waiting for you then, sister..." He waved, the other two ninjas waved as well, walking ahead, followed by Lloyd, and then the portal closed.
"Wow... so many revelations for one day..." Sonic laughed. "But I’m glad you chose to live here, with me..." He placed his hand on your waist.
"You’re part of my life now too, love. I can’t abandon you. Like I said... I belong to both worlds now..." You cupped his cheek.
"And that’s why I love you five times more now, darling..." He leaned in, touching his muzzle to yours in a slow, passionate kiss.
Your new life, now knowing your origins, was only just beginning.

The sky was orange with the setting sun, and a gentle breeze swayed the foliage of the trees. The pleasant spring weather hung in the air, and the forest was peaceful and calm.
That is, until the sound of running footsteps echoed in the distance, followed within seconds by a blue blur that vanished among the trees.
Behind it, you tried to keep up, already starting to get out of breath from the intense sprint. Slipping through the underbrush, you tried not to trip and fall over some root or branch — all in an effort to take part in a race you already knew you were going to lose.
"You're getting slow, huh?" Sonic teased, turning his body to look back at you, running backwards just to irritate you, keeping that mischievous smirk on his face.
You gasped for air, stopping and leaning against the trunk of a tree, trying to catch your breath. Seeing you so tired, Sonic slowed down, coming to an abrupt stop, almost skidding on the dirt — then, in the blink of an eye, he was at your side.
"Tired already?" he laughed, leaning against the tree too.
"What did you expect? It’s not surprising that I can’t keep up with the fastest living thing in the world..." You crossed your arms at him.
"Still, I’m glad you agreed to run with me. I promise I’ll take it easier next time, I know how out-of-shape you are..." He gave you a wink.
Rolling your eyes, a small smile formed on your lips.
"I’m not out of shape, I just can’t run for that long. I’m normal, after all." You lifted your hand and gave him a playful punch on the arm. The two of you chuckled, sharing a light moment.
Sonic pushed off from the tree and started walking.
"I’ll admit, that was a good run. You did pretty well — maybe next time we’ll make it closer to the lake."
You smiled, but then you remembered. Looking up at the sky, you noticed it was already late afternoon. You had spent a long time running with him, without even noticing the time passing.
Suddenly, anxiety welled up in you. Stepping away from the tree, you quickly followed him, walking just behind the hedgehog, always keeping an eye on the sky above. Every time, around this hour, the distortions would start — there was no way to avoid it.
"Go ahead without me, Sonic. I need to take a shortcut to the bakery... I... I need to buy some bread for dinner." Your eyes scanned the surroundings, beginning to grow nervous.
Sonic furrowed his brow, stopping and looking at you.
"You sure? I could buy you a snack. I was craving a chili dog after that run anyway."
"No, no!" You waved your hands, hating how desperate you sounded. "It’s just... I’ve got some family over at home, and I can’t be out during dinner. I’m bringing the bread for them..." You took a step back.
"Family at your place again?" He narrowed his eyes, crossing his arms.
"Yeah... a pain in the neck... But I gotta go, okay? See you around." You waved a hand at him.
"Alright... but if anything comes up, just call me. I’m always around to help you out."
Waving quickly, you turned around, walking in a hurry, avoiding running so you wouldn’t spark even more curiosity from him. In a short time, you had vanished among the trees.
--*--
Sonic was walking along the sidewalk, staring down and kicking a small rock for quite a while, his hands resting behind his head. He had been deep in thought ever since you left that afternoon. Now, it was already nighttime. The city was bright and busy, but the hedgehog couldn’t focus on anything, lost in his thoughts.
He let out a heavy sigh. Ever since the two of you met, you always found a way to vanish by late afternoon, always turning down invitations to hang out anywhere, and you never accepted letting him come to your house.
And that had started to really bother him. He wanted to spend more time with you, take you somewhere nice for dinner, but you always disappeared — and never wanted to.
That’s when a shiver ran down his spine. Something around him was wrong. His ears twitched, trying to pick up any unusual sound, anything that could confirm the feeling in his gut.
Then he looked up, and his eyes widened instantly. In the sky, where the stars and moon should’ve been, only a black shadow covered the entire expanse. Black clouds began to spin in a spiral. A dark energy started spreading through the air, pouring into the city streets like toxic smoke.
From the center of those clouds, a creature began to emerge. Its grayish fur became visible, along with its glowing red eyes. Its claws, which seemed to be made of mist, landed on the ground of a small plaza, tearing up the pavement and the grass.
When the creature finally touched down completely, its dark, pulsing heart was visible in the center of its chest. The monster growled, turning to face Sonic.
The hedgehog clenched his fists. Without a second thought, he crouched down, curling into a spiky ball and launching himself forward in a fast spin dash, striking one of the monster’s legs — but the creature didn’t even flinch.
Sonic leapt back, then spun again, this time aiming for the head, but once again, the monster didn’t react. Instead, it swatted Sonic away with force, launching the hedgehog far. He managed to recover, landing on top of a car.
It was strange — this didn’t look like any kind of robot from Eggman or anything like that. Sonic clicked his tongue.
"What even are you supposed to be...?" he muttered, clenching his fists again as the monster turned toward him.
The creature raised its paw, preparing its claws to strike. Sonic braced himself, ready to dodge.
That’s when a bright light flashed, forcing him to shield his eyes from the blinding vision. A loud explosion followed, shaking the ground, and a warm breeze ruffled his quills.
When he opened his eyes again, they widened, and his jaw dropped. The sky suddenly lit up in shimmering shades of pink and sky blue, illuminating the entire battlefield — and the whole city. A swirling vortex of energy appeared between Sonic and the monster, and the hedgehog stepped back, watching curiously.
Then he saw you, right in the center of that magical whirlwind, slowly descending.
Your hair floated like magical silk. Your outfit gleamed in white and lavender with shimmering star and heart patterns. High boots, a glowing wand in hand — your presence commanded respect, it seemed, as the creature took a step back, hesitantly lowering the raised paw.
Raising your hand, you kept a determined look on the creature and then proclaimed loudly:
"The winds of justice blow strong tonight! Precure: Radiant Speed!"
Still gaping and stunned, Sonic took another step back, watching everything intently.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa! Hold on... what the heck is going on?!" he muttered to himself, even rubbing his eyes to check if he had just woken up from some bizarre dream.
Soaring through the air at high speed, you approached the creature. It roared, raising its paws and preparing its claws for an attack — but with just a small movement to the side, you dodged the strike easily, slipping in even closer.
"You will no longer taint this city with your shadowy presence..." you shouted at the creature.
Your wand fired a few small beams, cutting through the darkness around you. That’s when you stopped, right in front of the monster’s chest. Raising your hand again, you proclaimed once more.
"Radiant Velocity Beam!" A yellow flash enveloped your outstretched hand and, at the speed of the wind, a massive beam was launched at the creature, once again emitting a blinding light that made Sonic cover his eyes for the second time.
The flash hit the beast’s pulsating heart directly. The monster screamed and growled in pain; the beam didn’t stop, beginning to pierce through the creature until it shot through its entire shadowy body. With one final painful snarl, the monster disintegrated into black smoke, vaporizing before your eyes.
Almost immediately, the sky began to clear of its vibrant colors, as well as the dark mass that had blocked the moonlight. Little by little, that night returned to near normalcy. If it weren’t for the look of surprise Sonic still wore after watching the whole battle.
With slow steps, Sonic approached where you still stood in an impassive stance, slowly descending to the ground.
Your shoes touched down with a soft impact sound, then you turned your face around, looking into his green eyes.
The hedgehog cleared his throat, his surprised expression quickly turning playful. He crossed his arms, a small grin forming on his lips.
"So you mean… you turn into a magical warrior… Full of glitter and shiny stuff. Even got a catchphrase." He said teasingly, making you smile as well. "You even have that dramatic and pompous pose... And you NEVER told me that?" He raised his voice slightly on that last line.
Your smile grew a little wider as you turned fully to him and began taking a few steps in his direction. Your glowing outfit soon began to shine brightly and dissolve, evaporating into the air in small yellow sparkles, returning you to your normal look. But Sonic could still see your eyes gleaming with that hint of magic, with an intensity that gave him chills.
"I'm sorry about that... It was for your own good. I didn’t want to get you involved..." You gestured behind you, to where the monster had been, now reduced to rubble where the square once stood. "The enemies I face are no joke. They’re pretty cruel and not easy to beat… I don’t want to imagine what they could’ve done to you... You were lucky today..." You scratched the back of your neck, now looking at him with a somewhat regretful expression.
"Hey, hey..." Sonic stepped closer, quickly taking your hand and intertwining your fingers. "I fight giant robots and Eggman’s crazy schemes every week, not to mention I’ve fought some pretty weird creatures before… and a furious genie. I can handle danger just fine." His expression then softened. "But I understand your concern. Especially since none of my attacks worked on that thing... It seems like only your magic could defeat it."
"Indeed, it’s effective against those things... But I feel relieved... now that you know, I don’t have to hide anything from you anymore..." You smiled sweetly.
He squeezed your hand a bit more, reassuringly.
"Just don’t leave me out next time, okay? We’ll fight together in this. I’m sure I can use my super speed somehow to support you while you use your tricks and sparkles on those things..." He gave a sideways smile.
You let out a soft giggle, looking at him with admiration.
"Deal... You’re coming with me from now on..." Then, with a soft sigh, you closed the distance and gently kissed his cheek, making Sonic widen his eyes momentarily, blushing slightly before returning with his signature sly grin.
"You’re full of surprises, you know that?... First you save me... Then, you steal my heart... For the second time!" He chuckled, placing one hand on his hip.
"It’s my charm..." You smiled at him, tugging the intertwined hand so you could walk together.
"Hey… I saw your speed back there in the fight… Now you’ve got no more excuses not to race with me..." He nudged you with his elbow.
"Sonic, I’m not going to use my powers to race you." You tried to be firm, even though the idea did sound fun in your head.
"Just a little bit, come on. There’s probably no one monitoring how you use that power..." He insisted.
"...I’ll think about it..." You shook your head as Sonic chuckled, and the two of you walked through the city at night. Now with your bond stronger than ever.

I'm curious about how many request do you finish before you update your request list? I'm just curious
Hey! I know it’s been a while since I last updated the list, but I’ll be adding everything properly to it today, what’s already been done and what’s currently in progress. I was holding off on updating it because I need to post a small announcement about the requests first.
Later today, I’ll be releasing two requests along with the announcement, and the list will be updated alongside it. Sorry for the delay in updating it!

What is your favorite color?
Coincidentally, my favorite color is blue. Maybe that's why I've loved Sonic games so much since I was a kid.
