ATLANTA COMIC COM AND EMILY WEIRDNESS

So some of you know that I went to the Atlanta comicon the other weekend and I had some crazy stuff happen @twdmusicboxmystery made a video about the convention if you want to watch It I strongly advise you to do so

I was driving when I wrote out my message to her, so I thought I would break it down a little bit more in depth than in the vid also when I wrote out my text it’s a was a little scatterbrained so if anyone got confused about anything , I’m really sorry I couldn’t really proofread it

But I’m pretty sure we just proof that there is cut footage from season five and Emily is returning!

I have three things to talk about

TWD Panel I’m gonna be focusing on the things I found most interesting btw so this doesn’t go on forever

All the actors that attended Emily Kinney (Beth), Chad Coleman (Tyreese), Laurie Holden (Andrea), IronE Singleton (T-Dog), Tom Payne (Jesus), and Seth Gilliam (Father Gabriel) and one other person I can’t remember my bad yall…

At one point, someone in the audience asked the actors asked about their characters deaths and if there were any changes, cut scenes or weirdness surrounding them

Everyone responded—except for Emily.

When a follow-up question was asked directly—“Why did Beth have to die?” Emily responded simply:

“I don’t know.” And then she laughed pretty hard ,

Later, another audience member asked whether there were any cut scenes they wished fans had been able to see. A few actors glanced at Emily. There was a long pause. No one answered the question directly, until Laurie Holden said:

“What needed to be seen was seen. We can’t share more.”

Somone asked what was everyone’s favorite episode to film that they were involved in Emily name dropped “Still” and shared how fun it was to work with Norman, and how much she enjoyed getting to see who Beth’s character was andburning down the house

And when this happens, I tell you not the entire entire crowd started cheering so online reception compared to IRL of Beth and Daryl is vastly fucking different

The Autographs

After the panel, I went to get several autographs from Emily. There was nobody in line since it was in the middle of the day and everybody got their autographs in the morning, so I had a chance to ask a couple more questions.

It was so easy for her to clock. I was a shipper by the way Emily was selling pictures of Beth and Daryl together that she would sign so you already know everybody in the server and me got those….. and I hate everybody and love everybody for this, but we were getting like the most obvious quotes.

“You’re gonna miss me so bad when I’m gone”

“Suck ass camp”

“I don’t cry anymore Daryl”

Ect.

I don’t think I’ve ever been so embarrassed LMAO But between the autographs I was able to talk to her, so I got to ask her some team delusional ass questions 💅💅💅

I asked her

“Were there any changes to the script around Coda that you wish we could’ve seen?”

She gave a pretty canned response:

“We get the scripts about a week before filming, so I’m not sure about any changes.”

Then I asked her:

“What was the craziest part about filming Coda?”

She said:

“When everyone was outside. It was extremely emotional.”

We’ve heard that answer before. It’s vague but not shocking.

We talked about her music for a second basically just me fan-girling out and saying I loved all the stuff she’s been making

Then I got my autograph last

I asked if she could sign mine with a lyric from a new, unreleased song one that hadn’t been shared publicly or posted on Instagram.

She and her assistant seemed really into the idea.

What she wrote was this:

“got home safe and sound without crashing” —beth

(Red marks are name sensors)

Notably, she signed it as “Beth” something she hadn’t done on any of the five other autographs I’d gotten.

Here’s why this matters:

* That lyric, is supposed to be from Beth! Now taken into note that we were talking about coda

It long-standing knowledge that a car chase was filmed at coda where people seen Beth’s and was later cut.

This could very well be a line from a new song written from Beth’s POV. (This was confirmed in the VEEP LIVESTREAM)

We don’t know why she’s writing songs from Beth’s POV again maybe she just has some thoughts about the show that she wants to write about or the fact that she wrote a song for Daryl Dixon??? That doesn’t mean she’s coming back, but we can certainly hope

It’s just a little confusing the timing of it why would she wait all of these years? And decide this year. Around probably December January to drop this new song and all the other walking dead songs??

And with the autograph I received I’m pretty sure the new song includes the line ”I GOT HOME SAFE AND SOUND WITHOUT CRASHING”

I’m not claiming confirmation of anything. But between:

•Emily’s silence during questions about Beth’s death,

•The tension around cut scenes,

•And the specific lyric she chose to share…

•the Veeps live stream confirming she’s releasing her walking dead album this year with a new song

"Daryl Dixson" Ending After Four Seasons Might Be A REALLY Good Thing......

Could this be a foreshadow of "our" and Daryl's happy ending at the end of season 4?

I remember hearing Zabel/Gimple talking over the last couple of years and thinking, "Wow, they intend to really drag this story out." I posted about it here.

Remember MMB saying just last year, "spin-offs forever"?

At the panel yesterday, Zabel said, "We talked about filming in Africa or places...chatter about places like Morocco and other places, wondering what the apocalypse looks like there."

So, it sounds like they had plans for more seasons, but AMC pulled the plug on this spin-off which seemed to be "Ride: Touring the Apocalypse with Daryl and Carol".

I also believe that Daryl's happy ending(aka Beth) was always the planned ending, but they were in no hurry to get there.

So, why the change? Here is a screenshot of the annual revenue for AMC Networks. You will see that they have lost over half a billion in revenue since 2019.

AMC needs something to increase revenue NOW. I'm sure filming around the world is expensive. DC is filming in Massachusetts due to the expense of filming in New York City.

TWD franchise, though not what it once was, is still the best thing AMC has going.

So, how to decrease costs and attract viewers?

What do fans really want? Daryl's happy ending.

So, have Daryl and Carol come home. Carol, and whoever else is with them, goes to the Commonwealth, but Daryl decides to go with Beth to find Maggie.

This idea would be supported by Lauren Cohen's comments about Maggie having a big "light at the end of the tunnel" coming in her story arc. Reuniting with Beth and Daryl(and, of course, fixing her relationship with Herschel) would be that.

So, we may end up getting Daryl and Beth together EARLIER with the possibility of MORE Daryl and Beth centric stories.

TPTB know that viewers still want a romance and family for Daryl. I don't believe they will end the series as a whole without that pay off.

We KNOW that this decision has caused them to rewrite/rework the next two seasons.

How?

Last year, Zabel said season 3 was going to be 6 episodes. Now, it's going to be 7 with season 4 being 8. So, we also know that the story had to reworked to wrap up this part of the series.

They had to add Daryl's "happy ending" in order to fulfill the premise of the spin-off. Now, they have to do it sooner than they probably planned.

So, after the initial shock, I actually think this could be VERY good for us.

beth's possible locations: florence, italy

most of you might think that everything is already connected to rome, why florence? it's the city where renaissance was believed to be emerged back in the day.

renaissance is the revival of european art and literature, including leonardo da vinci's, who was from florence, mona lisa. it marked the end of the middle ages, and that transition happened because of art. beth is a character who still can see the beauty in a very dark world where the dead roams around the living.

the birth of venus (because i believe venus can also be connected to birdie, maybe)

it is believed that the black death was the reason for the people in italy to diverge their attention from afterlife to earth. basically they were sick of thinking about the future and death. they wanted to live instead of surviving. sounds familiar?

also, dante's divine comedy is another reason to think florence as a possible location because divine comedy has been hinted a lot in twd, including some other spin-offs. i do not believe there is one dante in the whole show, different characters can go through dante's journey in the poem. in this post, i tried to create daryl's version of that journey and mentioned a character named beatrice.

beatrice was a real person and also dante the poet's love, he made her a character in the poem. her role is to guide dante through paradiso, and she first emerges in the end of purgatorio.

the interesting thing is, beatrice doesn't find dante on her own. the virgin mary is the first one noticing dante's struggle.

maybe beth is all of them, maybe one of them. i'm still not sure about this one.

another interesting thing is, i've searched different variations of the name lucy because they sometimes don't use the original source/name but do use a variation.

luciana is a character in ftwd and lucile? 👀 that means she was negan's light, but that's probably a whole other story itself.

the origin of lucy:

can "born at dawn" mean dawn has turned beth into the light? maybe.

and the origin of beatrice:

betty is the spanish version of beatrice if you're curious. 👀

note: if they really send daryl to florence, this place might be important because it has also a museum in it, or they are in the same place as far as i'm concerned:

florentine lily? so apparently, florence is called the "lily city". lily has been considered a symbol of the virgin mary since it means purity. we just have to wait and see at this point though. 🥹
