TASK #17 - RESULTS

You’ve survived this long with each other and been through thick and thin. Now let’s see how well you know each other!

How fitting that you failed as a group on your first task, and you have failed as a group on your final task. $4 will be deducted from The Pot. As a farewell gift from the hosts, we will add $1 to The Pot, bringing the TOTAL POT FOR THE GAME TO: $25.

TASK #17 - MAY THE FOURS BE WITH YOU

Welcome to the “Final Four” players, and congratulations on making it to your FINAL TASK! This will be your final opportunity to add money to The Pot, so good luck!

Prior to the start of this task, you were each asked a series of questions beginning with “Which player...”, requiring you to choose which of your fellow remaining players best fulfilled the ending to the question. Now, you will each be removed from the chat temporarily while the other players attempt to guess what you answered for each question, and “find” you where you are hidden and waiting for them.

Here’s the catch: Each question represents a tri-fork in the road, with each potential answer requiring the group to walk down a specific pathway. One wrong answer (wrong pathway taken) will throw everything off, so the group must think carefully about how the missing player would have answered for each question.

Every player that is successfully found by their teammates will add $2 to The Pot. Every player that is not found will deduct $1 from The Pot.

TASK #16 - RESULTS

Welcome players! Welcome loved ones, it has been great having you here!

Let’s see how well you did in this week’s task. There was quite a bit of money to be won...or lost. Let’s get to it:

As “dumb players”, all of Lauren and Kurt’s matches added $0.05 to The Pot, and all of their mismatches deducted $0.10 from The Pot. This means that their total haul was: -$0.25

As “dumb players”, all of Kyra and Bridget’s matches added $0.05 to The Pot, and all of their mismatches deducted $0.10 from The Pot. This means that their total haul was: -$0.85

As “dumb players”, all of Junior and Simon’s matches added $0.05 to The Pot, and all of their mismatches deducted $0.10 from The Pot. This means that their total haul was: -$0.55

As “smart players”, all of Reyn and Danny’s matches added $0.10 to The Pot, and all of their mismatches deducted $0.05 from The Pot. This means that their total haul was: -$0.20

As “smart players”, all of Owen and Adam’s matches added $0.10 to The Pot, and all of their mismatches deducted $0.05 from The Pot. This means that their total haul was: -$0.05

All together, the group’s total was -$1.90, which will be rounded to -$2. This means that $2 has been deducted from The Pot, bringing the total money earned so far in the game to $28.

TASK #16 - HOMIES FOR CASH

Welcome players, only 2 more executions to go before the big finale!! It would really suck to go home now.

For your next task, we have some very special guests that will be joining us, and they will be staying with you all the way through the next execution! They are some of your best friends from the Tumblr community, your “Loved Ones” if you will. These people are the closest thing to family that you have in this crazy gaming world, and now it’s time to see how well you know each other!

Each of your loved ones has given 2 answers to the questions below: How THEY would answer the question and how they think YOU will answer the same question. It is now your job to answer each of the questions in the same way. Give 2 answers for each one: YOUR personal answer, and how you think your LOVED ONE will answer the question. Obviously DO NOT discuss your answers with your loved ones. That would be cheating, which is lame, and not fun at all! For every correct match (the player guesses what their loved one would say AND the loved one guesses what the player said, for the same question) money will be added to The Pot.

Before the game began, you were asked to select 2 “smart players” and 3 “dumb players”. OWEN and REYN were selected to be the smart players, which means that KYRA, JUNIOR and LAUREN were selected to be the dumb players.

For every correct match that the “smart players” and their loved ones get, $0.10 will be added to The Pot. For every correct match that the “dumb players” and their loved ones get, $0.05 will be added to The Pot.

HOWEVER: For every incorrect match that the “dumb players” and their loved ones get, $0.10 will be deducted from The Pot. For every incorrect match that the “smart players” and their loved ones get, $0.05 will be deducted from The Pot.

TASK #15 - RESULTS

There was a lot of money up for grabs in this task, let’s see how well you took advantage!

1. Crossword Puzzle

As a team, you had to score over 6,000 on the crossword puzzles. Reyn submitted the following score:

This means that you successfully completed the first portion of the task and earned $2 for The Pot.

2. Word Search

As a team, in the first 24 hour phase of the task, you found 3 words in the crossword puzzle and had 2 taken away due to incorrect submissions. You were then given 24 more hours to find the other 27 words using clues that were provided for you. Here are the clues, and the corresponding answers, which were all words hidden in the word search:

During the second 24 phase of the task, you successfully found the following words in the puzzle:

IT’S A PICTURE OF NOTHING! No one submitted any additional words from the word search. This means that the money earned from the word search totaled $0.20, which is rounded down to a total earning of $0.

3. Cryptograms

As a team, you were charged with solving 5 cryptograms. Owen successfully solved all of the cryptograms, earning $3 for The Pot. The answers were as follows:

As per answer number 3′s instructions, every player had the opportunity to individually submit the answers to the cryptograms to the blog and double the team’s earnings. Here is how that panned out:

The clues that have been stricken through indicate the complete words that have already been found, with the answers also provided. You found 3 words, at $0.20 apiece, meaning that you earned $0.60 for the first half of the word search.

HOWEVER: The rules clearly stated that in order for your submissions to count, they needed to be submitted to THE BLOG. Both Danielle and Lauren submitted through SKYPE. I could technically disqualify your answers and take away all of the money earned thus far on the word search, but I will be nice and only subtract $0.20 from each person. Therefore, you have earned $0.20 for The Pot thus far.  Follow the rules.

TASK #15 - REVENGE OF THE WORDS

It is now time for Host Nic’s absolute favorite task of the season! As an English major and “word nerd”, I would completely crush these puzzles if I were playing. Let’s see if you have the same luck. 

For this task, as a team, you will attempt 3 different types of word games: crossword puzzles, a word search, and cryptograms.

1. Crossword Puzzles!

You will each complete crossword puzzles at the link above in an attempt to earn as many points as possible. You can complete as many as you want, but may only submit one score. High scores will be accepted for this challenge. As a team, if you score 6,000 points or more, $2 will be added to The Pot. Your submissions are due to the BLOG by 11:59 PM EST on Friday, November 13, 2015.

2. Word Search!

Working together as a team, you must find the 30 Mole-related words hidden in the puzzle below. Each word is related to Seasons 1, 2 and 5 of The Mole (U.S. Version). For each word that you find and submit to the BLOG before 11:59 PM EST on Thursday, November 12, 2015 you will earn $0.20 for The Pot, meaning a possible total of $6 can be earned. After the above deadline passes, clues to any remaining unfound words will be revealed, and any additional words found before 11:59 PM EST on Friday, November 13, 2015 will earn $0.10 for The Pot.

3. Cryptograms!

The group must correctly solve the 5 cryptograms below. Each cryptogram that is correctly solved will add $0.60 to The Pot, meaning a total of $3 is up for grabs. In order for the group’s answer to count for a particular cryptogram, 1 person must send it in to the BLOG by 11:59 PM EST on Friday, November 13, 2015.

Good luck! This is Host Nic’s favorite task of the season, so don’t disappoint!

TASKS #13 & #14 - RESULTS

There have not been many flash games this season, let’s see if that was a good thing or a bad thing in regards to your talents.

Junior and Lauren were charged with playing “Water Boy & Fire Girl”, and this is how they did:

I would comment on what an epic fail these two tasks were, but its not too shocking considering some of the results that we’ve seen so far this season. In total, you earned $2 for The Pot.

If you did not submit without warning the hosts ahead of time or having a valid excuse for not doing so, you have received a strike. Players receiving a strike will be notified individually.
