Eclipse believes in objective right and wrong with the scale being harm vs benefit. However, this extends mostly to his species and those that he likes, he doesn't believe that anything harmful done to those he doesn't care for is objectively wrong. He holds this view because he cares so deeply for everyone he considers close to him, which includes every Black Arms alien, his friends, and any lovers he may procure.

If they are not Black Arms, they are innately bad until/unless they are assimilated into the hivemind. He believes all races are capable of being good but they will choose evil eventually, no matter who they are. This is because he has witnessed plenty of societies become better under Black Arms control.

Eclipse's biggest fear is that he is too much for most people. He's very particular and when he likes someone, he really likes them. It's impossible for him to like someone a normal amount, especially in a relationship.

Yes.

Do they push people away before they can leave?

No, he clings tighter until he's ready to pop their head off. He will do anything to keep the people he likes around them, including going so far as to threaten their safety or to assimilate them into the hivemind.

Are they scared of not being enough?

His problem is the exact opposite of this. He knows he's more than enough!
