I downloaded this otome for the bishies and here I am gay for the MC

Eiar right eye turns red when she feels strong emotions; in her hometown, women with red eyes are considered witches, so since she was a kid she had to disguise herself as a boy and when she turned 12 she decided to move outside the town as to don't cause any trouble to her adopting family.

Before starting the game, you can decide a male and female name and of course with that chara design I couldn't hold myself to call her Ciel when she cross-dress as a boy lol.

As she was raised as a boy, she didn't have etiquette lessons on how a lady should behave in public, but she was taught to held a sword and spank evil-men asses if needed

Look at her! She is awesome and I am hyperventilating ~

But you know what's the best part?

Even though Eiar seems to have a curse, and had to hide her true self from the people she cares about, she never plays the victim nor she acts as a damsel in distress.

On the contrary: she works as a handyman making herself independent; she is the type of protagonist that when she was beaten by some ruffians for stealing her money (and luckily didn't see through her disguise), she didn’t complain to anyone or cursed her ill luck. The next day she went back to work in town and didn't whine about it to anyone.

Still not convinced? She can be sassy and fun

I know above screenshot sounds spicy and all, but the context it's all innocent. ( a note: apparently only the woman who raised her and Ashen Hawk - the red fella above that owns the mansion Eiar currently lives in - know about her true identity )

And when she dresses as a woman to investigate? Look at my gorgeous baby ***

And besides that, it really put a smile on me when Ashen Hawk gave her some tips on how a woman should act. She has no clue about these things, indeed she moves or talks like a man out of an habit.

I haven't finished the game yet and I still have to enter a route (after 5 hours of playing, yeah you read it well), but up to now I really like Eiar and this is the first time where I don't feel uncomfortable to play in the shoes of the protagonist from an otome game.

If Eiar keeps up this attitude, she can easily become the Queen of Otome MC's.

An Honest Opinion - Moonlight Lovers

Okay, here’s how I’m feeling after playing through Moonlight Lovers. I don’t want to get too spoilery, it’s more just my opinion on the game so far, but I have to say that things really aren’t looking good.

The Main Character

So straight off the bat, there’s no customisation options for the main character (Eloise) except for being able to change her name. And after seeing the illustrations it seems like they’re going for more of an Eldarya feel with that.

Eloise herself can be sassy at times, which I liked, but overall she seemed pretty dumb. She kind of just immediately accepts that everyone in the house is a vampire, without really questioning it much.

Ummmmm…

The Love Interests

I just… am not impressed by them. The only one I’m even remotely interested in at this point is Ethan, and I’ve barely even had the chance to speak with him.

I absolutely can’t stand Vladimir. He’s supposed to be the unofficial leader of the house, with a somewhat stoic and arrogant attitude. Really all I remember from him is he almost hits Eloise and yells at her like a whiny brat every chance he gets.

Beliath can be entertaining at times, especially when he’s sassing Vladimir. I cringe at the way he calls Eloise “my pretty one”. Just stop.

Aaron is big, and I love it, because that’s usually my thing lol. He’s the nice one in the house, but unfortunately I find his personality too soft for my liking, and there’s just something about the way they’ve written him that I really don’t like. I can’t quite put my finger on it, but it’s almost like he unnecessarily repeats the things he says but in different words? Whatever it is, it’s weird. There was also a suspiciously thrown in sentence about wolves in there, which makes me wonder…

Raphael overall seems nice and level headed. Again I haven’t spent much time with him to know much more. I’m kinda confused why Vladimir is the leader of the house instead of him, but I think it may be that Vlad was there first.

Ivan literally looks and acts like a child, and it’s clear that he’s a new vampire, around the same age as Eloise (18). It’s a no from me.

Everything Else

Overall I’m not impressed so far. It almost seems like the art style has taken a step backwards compared to Beemoovs other games, resembling something close to early HSL style.

The story isn’t very strong at the moment, I did get quite bored playing through it, and I hope that improves in the future. The app is easy to use and play through the story, but it definitely doesn’t ‘wow’ me in any way.

I don’t think I really had high hopes for the game to begin with, and while most of the aspects of it are fine, I just don’t feel that it’s anything special.

My first feeling about the prologue is a good vibe. I like the vampires, they are likeable. Eloise is prudent, intelligent and friendly. And the most important, she isn’t stupid.
