It is dull, son of Adam, to drink without eating” said the queen presently. “What would you like best to eat?”
“Turkish Delight, please, your Majesty.” Said Edmund

“oh yes, i know ALL about that--although sometimes it’s very hard to sit still during long meetings. sometimes i like to look around at the fauns and dryads to see what they think, but sometimes even THEY’VE fallen asleep!” imitation is the HIGHEST form of flattery, and so lucy straightens her back and tries to stand exactly like aurora is. “--do your advisers sometimes fall asleep as well?”
funny. it’s not often her mannerisms are FUNNY, but she supposes the girl could call her far worse. aurora offers a shrug at the question. “nothing particular, i suppose. i’m only attempting to keep my back perfectly straight,” it’s said with a jesting tone in an attempt to indulge her funniness. “it’s required of queens and it’s very hard to do. we must always be regal and proper.”

Her feet seemed to move of their own accord;
black mary janes take involuntary slow steps back
down the road, stopping a few paces away. Yes, the
man who had been about to chase her was gone,
but this man seemed equally scary, him and his
dark eyes and upturned smile. But Lucy knew better
than to judge anyone based on what they looked like;
wasn’t that what mum always said? So she straightened
her back, pushed herself to walk closer, and held out her
hand for the tall man to shake.
“Thank you very much, sir. I’m Lucy Pevensie, sir.”
All of this was expelled in quite a rush, almost as if
she was afraid of her breath running out before she
had the chance to say what she wanted to say.
Someone CHASING him? That is odd. Who
would ever chase someone perfectly able to
rip your limbs within a blink of an eye? But as
Ludwig could see, there really was a human
who had ran all that way, now staring at the
human child. ❝ Oh, but there’s no need to
worry, little one ❞ he replied, as his hand
grabbed the man’s neck from behind. ❝ He
is not going to harm you. Am I correct? ❞
The pathetic man nodded in fear, and ran as
far as he could. With all his powers, he hid
a smirk of satisfaction, and turned it into a
gentle – and strangely creepy – smile.

“Lucy, sir,” she answers immediately; introducing herself is almost a reflexive reaction by this point. “Lucy Pevensie.” She does have to crane her head to look up at the soldier, as she does with most people anyways, even her older brother and sister. “Have you been here for very long, sir?” She can’t help but notice the old cigarette, the mud-stained boots and the odd, haunted air about him, not so very rigid like the British soldiers she saw at the train station.
Head turns, FOCUSING on the little girl before him as he exhales the cigarette smoke into the air. & gaze drops to his boot, a curt nod given in response before he places the cigarette back between parted lips & bends down to one knee. “Thanks….” he mutters as he begins to tie the laces back up, “what’s your NAME, kid?”

“oh--really, peter? could we?!” her face widens
into an even broader smile at just the mere suggestion.
and the fact that peter was suggesting it! well, she
knew that peter hadn’t lost his sense of humor yet, or
his need for adventure. lucy’s smile quickly turns
devilish, as if she were a sprite and not human at all,
and she looks up at her older brother again.
“i’ll bet i’ll find him first!”
“yes even then.” he nods quite seriously and then grins,
nudging her with his elbow. “ and i’m not grey. the professor
is grey! we can go spy on him if you need a reminder of what
grey looks like. ” normally peter wouldn’t approve of spying,
but the manor was so large it was unlikely they’d even find
the professor at all. and maybe the ‘adventure’ would take
lucy’s mind off of everything.

Lucy almost gasped when she saw the lovely roses blooming by the Queen’s feet as if by magic--but that was silly. Of course she was magic! In fact, Lucy quickly thought, she was the first queen she had met who had good magic, and not the bad kind. She had met giantesses before, but those weren’t exactly human....and neither, she supposed, was this queen either.
The little girl blinked in surprise at the mention of her siblings; even after becoming queen, it took a little getting used to the fact that so many people, inside Narnia and out of it, knew who they were.
“My brothers and sister thought it would be best if I learned a great deal about other kingdoms outside of Narnia, your majesty,” Lucy returned, ever polite. “So--so I’ve brought gifts, your majesty. For you and your people. As a gesture of friendship between you and Narnia.”
Maybe she didn’t quite stick to the script as Peter had advised her to, but Susan had also told Lucy to say what she wanted to, so she had been a little caught in the middle. Hopefully this queen wouldn’t mind. After all, this was her first experience with ‘foreign policy’, Edmund had called it, without her siblings.
The Queen of the Forest was to be getting visitors, in her domain which more than a little interesting to her. She hardly ever got visitors, unless they happen to stumble upon her home. The home that was composed of satyrs and centaurs. She was happy to be among them and lead them. Everywhere she walked flowers grew beneath her feet. As long as fresh earth was available, flowers would grow.. Her dirty blonde hair was shoulder length, her eyes were amber, and the gown was green. She often wore the color of the season. This was an appealing change to her. The Queen felt the others approaching and her people, of varying ages, look to those who approached.
Yggdrasil had expected them, but not so many of them. Some of her people weren’t happy about the number of them either. Some of her centaurs were frowning. Even if they young one was a Queen, so much protection was hardly necessary. Upon being addressed, Yggdrasil curtsied in response, to the other. It was a matter of respect between the Queens.
Looking at the smaller one, it was clear that she was still settling, into her status as a Queen. There were times when she considered it a burden, as the start. She recalled how nervous she was, all those years ago. Even when she made the attempt to put on the brave face, she could see the truth in the little one’s eyes, but she wouldn’t point it out.
“I appreciate your formalities and I knew that you would be coming today. The letter that was sent ahead of time, was greatly appreciated. However, we weren’t expecting so many of you, to be coming to us.” The Queen responded to other before sighing. The number of them was an inconvenience and she hoped, that they weren’t expecting to spend the night in her domain. There just wasn’t enough space for them and her people.
“I have a great deal about you and your siblings, but I wish to know what this is about. There was no information, about the reasoning of your visit.” Yggdrasil as she approached the little Queen. Purple roses were growing as she walked to the other.

for this woman to IMMEDIATELY say they were going to be great friends was a bit of a shock for lucy -- not all adults she had met were like that. most weren’t, in fact, and she had believed this woman would be the same ever since edmund had TOLD her that she was probably going to a beastly old house far away and probably would never see them again. well, this woman certainly didn’t seem A BEAST, and edmund was so far away that the little girl was removed enough from his words to miss him. (of course she missed him; lucy always forgave him! besides, she couldn’t wait to tell him how nice this woman was) “miss kat,” lucy continued, politely giving her hand to the lady. “and--yes, i’m lucy pevensie, miss. is your home very close by? it’s alright if it’s not, miss...only that i’m a bit tired.”
she cringed at the way she said her name , kattalin haven’t actually changed her surname back to her maiden , she nevertheless only wanted to go by the maiden , her true name only gave her painful memories of a broken past , ❝ …you are lucy , then , ❞ she said with a very warm smile , ❝ and yes , but i do not go by kattalin chavez , it’s etxebarria , just call me kat . we are friends ! ❞ she leaned down , kattalin could almost feel her pain of being seperated .

Crappy photoedit– work with me.
So, I’ve just hit 100 followers. When I made this blog a short while ago, I truly didn’t see myself writing beyond a couple of thread with a few friends. The fact that there’s suddenly 100 of you were is astounding.
I’ll keep this short and under a cut so I don’t clog your dashboards, but there’s a couple people I want to drag out into the spotlight for this. (Consider these subtle promos. Hint, hint. Follow these nerds.)
