I always get the whumperflies when Whumpee is found in Caretaker's closet, hidden from a storm because they're scared and they needed to feel safe.

"You're fucking miserable," caretaker screams at whumpee. "I don't know why you're staying with whumper."

whumpee looks at the ground and shakes their head, "You don't know anything, i'm staying with whumper to protect you"

We need to talk about the drawbacks to super healing more. Healing takes a LOT of calories. If it happens all at once, you're 1) gonna drain your energy, and 2) probably gonna lose a little weight. Also, healing too fast is why humans get scar tissue (partially). And not to mention blood clots can end up happening as well.

So basically, as nice as it would be to walk off a stab wound in like a day, there's gonna be a LOT of consequences

really big fan of caretakers cupping the back of whumpee's neck and supporting their face with their thumbs, gazing softly into their eyes and repeating words of comfort with as much intensity as they can, because if whumpee can't believe it, caretaker will just keep saying it until they do.

When whumpers casually bring whumpees down to their knees by:

Knocking the air out of them

Hitting the backs of their knees so they collapse

Easily pushing them down by the shoulder because they're already struggling to stand

Dragging them down by the hair

Holding a gun to their head

Tazing them

Threatening a loved one until they obey

Thinking about how you enjoy the tippy tap noises on the floor when a beloved animal is coming to see you. Thinking about a pet/nonhuman/monster whumpee experiencing that welcome for the first time, realizing someone is actually happy to hear/see them coming

silver tongued whumper talking whumpee into staying with them, even as whumpee's hand trembles with the weight of the gun they stole from whumper's bedside table, whumper knows they have the upper hand
