I’m in the process of making a sideblog dedicated to another character.....but it’s very different from this one. It’ll be a public reblog dump, not as much focus on my feelings, and I’ll actually be linking to my main blog.

I’m not embarrassed to say I love the character as much as I am with Totty, mainly because...I may have a bit of a crush on him, but not in the same way. I love watching him, and talking about him, but I wouldn’t say I have any dirty thoughts about him. My feelings don’t extend any deeper than that. And I don’t have any desire to self-ship with him, for a few good reasons: a) He canonically isn’t attracted to women (he’s either gay or aroace, with gay being the more likely), b) I ship him with someone else, and c) With his type of personality, it wouldn’t, er....be in-character, let’s just say...

Totty remains my F/O for those reasons. I still love him....I still love seeing him show up on my dash...and I’m still awaiting any news on the dub.

I’m obsessed with someone else, but love is more than obsession.

On one hand, I’m kinda sick of time travel stories. I’m tired of overthinking them and frying my brain. That’s the main thing that’s keeping me from being too excited. 

But on the other hand...I am a bit curious about some things....If the entire movie was 100% a flashback, I’d be more eager, but I guess they had the add some wackiness to emulate the show more. XD

Also, why the heck did they say that Choro was the one who’s changed the most? Look at Ichi! Look at pre-social anxiety Ichi! It breaks my heart because he was so happy....He probably thought that everyone liked him, but then it turns out everyone made fun of him and thought he was obnoxious, so he stopped trying and closed himself up....and.....

....Sorry, I was seeing myself right there....Well, um, kinda. It happened a LOT earlier for me. At 18 I was the same introvert I am now. XD

Totty is adorable in his oversized uniform, by the way. Yeah, I had to mention him in some way. XD I dunno much else to say though...I’d be in a very awkward place if he ends up showing the traits I like and I start fangirling, because he’s 18....So I kinda hope that he snaps later down the line....and that the cuteness was a bit more genuine back then...? Like....he learns to work it to his advantage around this time.....? I can’t believe that, for once, I’m more curious about a couple of his brothers than him.....ugh....I’m so ashamed.....

I-it’s just for this, I swear.....a-and it just a bit of curiosity, that’s all! That’s all!

I dreamed about Totty for the first time in a long while today. I was sitting next to him on a bus and was debating whether or not to start talking to him.....then HE started talking to ME X////D

Two words: Morbid curiosity

So, Oso/matsu/-san is getting.....d-dubbed....I dunno when it’s coming out, but it’s definitely in the works.

Due to its popularity, I shouldn’t be surprised, but wh-what DOES surprise me is that......I’m interested in it.....I’m not expecting to PREFER it, but I’m interested in it....!

It’s crazy.....For so long, I’ve put off watching any of the second season due to new interests, plus....nervousness, I guess?....but once I hear of the chance to relive the episodes I HAVE watched with new voices, suddenly, I’m spending a week thinking of the show more than I have in a while....Yeah, don’t ask, I dunno either....>///////>

Th-there’s this video I’ve watched that showcases all the voice actors with clips of some of their previous roles....I’ve watched it a couple times, a-and....By first impressions, the one I like the most is Jyushi’s, but Oso’s and Kara’s sound pretty fitting, too....Ichi, I’m kinda eeeehh about, mainly because none of the clips were in an Ichi-like tone...so I ended up thinking like Inception and going “You need to go deeper”. XD Maybe this’ll be a first for his voice actor...?

Overall, I’m trying to separate the dub cast from the original...They don’t have to sound EXACTLY the same, they just have to FIT....Case in point: Jyushi.

B-but....but, um......a-boooooout that......

Keep in mind that I r-really....really REALLY....love Totty's original voice. It was one of the first things about him that I took notice of, a-and chances are, if he sounded different, th-there'd probably be a chance I wouldn't have gotten as interested as I did so quickly....And the reason that I never considered myself to be over him is because I knew that if I ever relistened to any of this endings, it'd basically be an automatic "Bring The Crush Back" button. The art helped (especially one official picture in particular), and rereading this blog every now and then helped, but that was the big thing. This entire time, I was always one step from fangirling over him all over again. So....I may care too much about this dub thing....ugh....*hides face in embarrassment*

S-so, yeah....the thought of him with a d-different voice....It COULD work, but...I’ll be extremely biased against it. X////D From what I’ve heard, the guy’s a good voice actor and has a good voice, but the clips didn’t really give me any inclination that he could pull off Totty’s “deliberately trying to be cute” voice. And something like that could very easily go wrong. It could end up sounding fake or annoying....I don’t want that. I want it to sound natural...If I don’t melt over it, so be it, but PLEASE don’t make me cringe. Don’t ruin him by trying to force it. I know he’s an adult man playing up being sweet, but he’s GOOD at it, and you’d better do that justice or else!! And of course, there’s the hilarious mood swings around his brothers, too...I’m not saying I EXPECT it to be as perfect as Irino-san’s take, but I do hope this dub knows what it’s doing.

O-oh god, are they gonna dub over the talking parts of the endings? Probably not....heheheh....X/////D

Overall, I’m curious, but t-trying not to....g-get my hopes too high.....

....Still, I’m one step away, and I have been for a long while....
