Good can be radical; evil can never be radical, it can only be extreme, for it possesses neither depth nor any demonic dimension yet--and this is its horror--it can spread like a fungus over the surface of the earth and lay waste the entire world. Evil comes from a failure to think. It defies thought for as soon as thought tries to engage itself with evil and examine the premises and principles from which it originates, it is frustrated because it finds nothing there. That is the banality of evil.
Hannah Arendt, Eichmann in Jerusalem: A Report on the Banality of Evil, January 1, 1963

june is a taunt. it mocks me. the past cowers away, casting glances from wall to shadow. june is a praise, always out of reach, always so close, i am presented with a lens. i know its further than they made it. its a carrot on a stick every time i move it moves further, i move away. i sit. june will not come. nothing promised ever will. that is the way of the taunt, the way of the lanes

The next batch of Dental Plaques is coming along pretty well! I finished the wip one in the first photo today and I’ve got one more to do then all 10 will be ready to go.
At the moment I’m thinking I’ll list them next Friday (4/14). I’ve got the Black Jackalope of Inlé art piece and some other cool odds and ends to list too so I’ll just aim for one big shop update. I’ll post an exact time when we get a bit closer.
These will probably be the last Dental Plaques I make for at least a little while. Starting to run low on tiny teeth to fill in gaps with, haha. But I’ve got A LOT of dead things I need to tend to once the weather warms up more so hopefully I’ll have the supplies to make more again in the not to distant future. <3

Domestic Dog (breed unknown) - top skull - (?)
An old dog with some interesting quirks. You can see in the last picture where a javelina mandible was glued to this skull, i don’t know how the person who did it thought they matched but it’s not the first time I’ve seen a dog skull matched with a pig jaw. I don’t have a real guess on the breed but it was certainly an older dog based on the remaining teeth.
