2016: I chose July 2016, because the CC kids came back from their misadventure end of June / start of July in 2016. And I imagine Sammy and Yaz spent that summer partly together.

2020: In 2020, they went to their first pride event in Portland (OR) together, while visiting Yaz's mother.

2023: By 2023, they went back to Texas together, running their tiny farm.

2026: Yaz and Sammy married on the 19th of December, 11 years after meeting on Nublar.

2045: By then, they decided they were too old for Pride events and would rather go on vacation to the West Coast during June.

I think a lot about Musk's failed attempt at buying the Wisconsin Supreme Court, spending $20+ million on a race that the Republicans lost, because I really do think it's a perfect example of how Trump and Musk both fundamentally misunderstand the rural voter mindset. They've spent years building up this idea of outside influence, wealthy and privileged people from big cities and liberal states coming in to control rural elections they don't understand and won't be impacted by, and then they throw in a techbro billionaire who lives in Texas and is physically incapable of talking without being condescending and tried to get him in the favor of rural Wisconsin voters.

I genuinely think the race would've been MUCH closer if Musk had stayed out of it but instead, he gave the Democrats a perfect target for their campaigns that united a lot of voters through state pride and pure spite instead of just political party. When he stepped in, suddenly the race wasn't between two local Wisconsin politicians, it was between a Wisconsin politician and some rich asshole from the city who thought he could just throw money around and get his way.
