I see a lot of posts going around like "Chappell Roan they could never make me hate you" and you know what, I kinda get it. I love her, she's amazing, I love that she's setting her boundaries, I love that she's actively supporting Palestine, etc.

HOWEVER.

She is still just a human being and putting her up there on a pedestal is just asking her to fail. She's not going to be perfect and conform 100% to your personal ethics all the time, and when she does something that is right for her but wrong for you, are you still going to support her, or are you going to join the queue of people who are waiting to tear her down?

I'm not saying not to be a fan, fucking obviously. I was lucky enough to see her live this month and she has so much fucking talent, I cannot get over it.

But she's just a person, and people shouldn't expect perfection or "100% correct takes" from her for the rest of her life, because she can only fall from where she is if that's all that is acceptable to her fan base.
