I can't remember how much of this is implied canon or my own interpretation, but I fully believed that Chiron recognized Percy was a son of Poseidon from the fountain incident with Nancy Bobofit, knew that a child of the Big Three being claimed would be a total shit show, and simply chose not to say a word about it

Actually I really like that Percy is Thalia's look-alike in the books with their matching black hair and green eyes and the ichor of such powerful gods running through their veins and their mirrored personalities. I like that Annabeth and Luke both looked at Percy and saw Thalia and I love thinking about what a sucker punch Percy must have felt like to the both of them.

I think as cute as it is to imagine Percy asking Annabeth all the dumb/cute relationship questions and being lovably needy and goofy, Annabeth very much has those same needs and desires for reassurance and just messing around and being a goofy kid with her boyfriend. Yes she’s smart and strong and capable of being independent but so is Percy, and the beauty of their relationship is that they both can let down their defenses around each other and be silly. Let Annabeth be silly!!

Masquerade Party

A Law School AU

The slow music filled the giant ballroom. Laughter and people talking are tonight's background music. Everyone was wearing some sort of half-mask. Well, obviously. It's because it is indeed a Masquerade Party. Ladies in big flashy gowns. And gentlemen in their neatest tuxedo that they own. Claps could be heard every time the musicians finished one song.

Sol, as much as she hated it, stood close to the beverage table. Unwilling to be at the centre of the room - the dance floor. She preferred to read her novels and snuggled up in her bed. However, her mom, Mrs. Kang, said absolutely no to the idea. So, here she was.. In the middle of a loud crowd that wore ridiculously half-masks to cover their faces, but not enough so people could still recognise you. In the beginning, Sol intended to show up with no mask at all. But her mother insisted that she had to wear one. So, she chose the simplest design, a classic white mask from one of her mother's collections.

Little did she know, a certain man in black mask kept his eyes on her. He smirked at the thought that since the beginning of the dance, Sol had never moved an inch. So, he decided to bring some fun for her.

"Excuse me, mylady."

Sol turned her head to see a man that approached her. He has a black mask on, but she could see the deep gaze his eyes had. They are so beautiful. Wait, what?

"Yes, how may I help you, Sir…?"

The man chuckled, "Han, if you please."

Han. That name sounds familiar. Oh wait, they are at Han's residence.

"I've seen you've come to realise something, mylady." says the man.

Sol cleared her throat and flashed a smile. "I must say, Sir Han. This party of yours is rather...loud."

Han couldn't help but laugh a little at Sol's comment. In an instant, Sol could feel a rush of heat on her cheek bones.

Han smiled, "This party is actually my father's, not mine. But I'll take loud as a compliment."

Someone, please, take Sol out of there! If someone could die because of embarrassment, she would be dead by now. "Sorry, I didn't mean to be rude."

Han shook his head, "That's perfectly fine. I'm not a big fan of parties, either."

Sol smiled a little, "Well, I am glad to know that I'm not the only one. My sisters are crazy about dresses and parties. I prefer quiet and books."

"What if I say, we ditch this party together after one dance?" asks Han with one hand holding out.

Sol smiled brightly and gently took his hand.

Han led them to the centre of the room. As magically as it sounds, the musicians change their song at that right moment. Everyone stopped what they're doing and looked at the two young birds at the centre.

After some bows, Sol took Han's hand and they moved slowly as the beat went. A little sway to the right and left, right and left, right and left. Han was so gentle to Sol, his hand carefully caressed her waist. Sol's white gown really matches with Han's black tuxedo.

"Who is that?"

"Is that Mr. Han?"

"Who is the lady? I've never seen her."

Sol could hear questions and questions about them. When she was about to lose focus, Han gently touched her cheeks and whispered to her ear, "Focus on me, not them."

Heat came rushing to her cheeks once again. She nodded and stopped listening to the questions. They danced for a little while. After the musicians finished their song, Han and Sol bowed to each other. Everyone clapped and cheered for them.

"Let's go outside, shall we?" asked Han. Sol happily nodded and followed him.

Han carefully leads them outside of the ballroom. They went to the garden for some fresh air. Sol took off her mask, "Finally, I was really suffocating inside there. Thank you, Mr. Han."

Han did the same with his mask. Sol could finally see his full face. He was so handsome.

"Please, call me Joonhwi. After that dance, I think you deserve to call me by my first name, Lady Kang."

"Well then, you should call me by my first name too. I'm Sol, nice to meet you, Joonhwi."

Joonhwi gladly took Sol's hand and shook it.

When Sol went back to the ballroom, all eyes were on her. Her mother quickly led her to one corner of the room.

"How do you know Mr. Han?" she asked in a hush.

"I met him before the dance, Mom. Did I do something wrong again this time?"

Her mother, for the first time, shook her head and smiled at her. "You did a very great job, my dear. You two look beautiful together. Are you sure you don't want me to set you up with him? I could see that the young man really likes you."

"Mom!"

Sol always hated parties. She was never fond of the idea of people gathered up together with some music played in the background. But tonight was different. She might have started to like parties now. Thanks to a certain someone that decided to bring some fun for her.

It’s missing solhwi hours again so I’m gonna ramble like nobody’s business about little things I found to love about them again on the rewatch (at this point I have no idea how many times I’ve rewatched the series seriously).

Everyone and their mother (including Kang Sol A’s mother) knew which Kang Sol Joon Hwi meant as he was testifying on the stand. But even if for in-universe reasons Joon Hwi pretended it was Kang Sol B, the framing of certain scenes cements it. 

For example, this scene follows right after Prosecutor Jin asks Joon Hwi who in the study group he wanted to protect. Notice how it sort of fades out around the edges (even with Kang Sol B), but sharpens and focuses on Kang Sol A. I’ve rewatched the scene many times to make sure, and it really does focus on Kang Sol A. I thought it was a clever framing device. A part of me thinks that part of the reason they had two Kang Sols was so they could do scenes like this.

Again, I find it adorable that when we get to see Joon Hwi’s phone, the people he seems to contact most often are Kang Sol A and Professor Yang. Part of me wants to laugh at how many times Kang Sol A ignores his calls (six times!), but Joon Hwi keeps on calling her anyway. 

Even in the future scene, I like the subtle yin and yang where Joon Hwi has a black phone case, while Sol has a white phone case subtly showing that they really complement each other. 

LASTLY. LOOK AT THAT SMILE. Even if we didn’t get explicit confirmation, I will forever love the moot trial for soft and supportive Joon Hwi. Everyone underestimates Sol. Sol B, Ji-ho, Gollum, and even Kang Sol A herself. Everyone except Joon Hwi. 

And yet he doesn’t use his words to reassure her but just shows his utter belief in her and her abilities through his actions. When Ji-ho snarkily comments that Joon-hwi’s team might have trouble winning because of Kang Sol noona, Joon Hwi doesn’t rebuke him, just continues to smile even as Sol shows that she’s researched countless cases already and even watched the finals, making Ji-ho and Gollum’s jaws drop in surprise. But Joon Hwi is unfazed and just ever-smiling, fully expecting she would give her 200%.

When Sol wanted him to revise the draft she wrote, he didn’t touch it and just submitted it as is, even as she worried they’d fail because of her draft, he just smiles indulgently at her 100% sure in the belief in her skills and that it’d be a given for them to move to the finals. Even when Sol worries and second-guesses herself, Joon Hwi has enough confidence for the both of them. 

He’s subtly shuts down any attempt to exclude Kang Sol A, and is just really really supportive of her and amazed by her at the same time. Seriously?? How could I not miss them?

Pretty open to any situation but I won’t write anything with kid smut. I like lots of AU’s (Mafia, Hurt/Comfort, Meet Cute, Song fics, Reunions, Pinning, Omegaverse (my personal favorite at the moment), Harry Potter, I’m even open to angst). I will say I’m not much of a switch fan so I won’t write switch smut and I’m pretty set on who tops and bottoms with some of these couples so I may not accept every smut ask for those two reasons.
