the thing about “andrew hussie returns to homestuck to write a cartoon pilot produced by vivziepop with toby fox voicing john egbert” is like. it’s so far-fetched i wouldn’t even make that joke. because it would be too ridiculous for me to even find funny. and it’s not a joke. it’s literally happening right now.

im gonna state my opinion because thats typically what "blogs" are for. the homestuck animated trailer looks really good and cute actually and its exciting that toby fox is doing voice work on it. unfortunate who is producing it, but whatever, tbh.

i always hate when something new homestuck happens and everyones like AAAUUGGGH THIS IS TERRIBLE THIS IS GONNA BE A DUMPSTER FIREEEEE and the past few times it has actually been perfectly fine and good, actually.

i dont really care about the fact that there will be new young homestuck fans interpreting the characters badly or whatever cuz im not going to be interacting with them. im going to be staying in my very small homestuck bubble that i've curated over the last decade and change lmao. even before this, there have already been new teenage homestuck fans who see the characters one dimensionally and are kind of annoying about it but that's kind of just how its always been in this fandom and that's okay. honestly we should be used to it by now lol. just ignore it? its fine. take a deep breath.

Vivziepop Homestuck with Toby Fox on the cast seems designed to create discourse that makes the internet completely unusable. This isnt even a value judgement in any particular direction but I can see a Situation Causer from a mile away.
