I have a slight headcanon

Thanks to the regeneration ability, Tripitaka's hair grew back and even though he tried to cut it it just grew back, literally it was like a PUFF and TA-DA new hair, long and fluffy like a lion's mane

Well, I don't have any imagination lately, honestly, but... Something I want to imagine is three different versions of Tripitaka, apart from Demon Strike Back, my favorite versions are Monkey King 2 and Monkey King Reborn (I love Tripitaka's outfits from Monkey King 2)

I want to make these two versions have their own version of demons and not just be a copy and paste of the other (although I feel that Tripitaka Demon Strike Back is more emotional and explosive)

Would it be a good or bad idea? I don't know, or maybe someone could be like Kagaya Ubuyashiki

Moment 3: The Backpack Attack

(During a battle with some lesser demons, Sun Wukong carries Tripitaka in his backpack as usual. The fight is fairly even until one of the demons manages to get too close. Sun Wukong spins around and, without realizing it, Tripitaka from the backpack accidentally hits the demon with his head.)

Demon (stunned):—What was that?! I got hit by a backpack!

Sun Wukong (without missing a beat):—You dare to look down on my backpack? You haven't even seen what it can do!

(Tripitaka, from inside the backpack, looks on with wide, surprised eyes, not knowing what's going on. Meanwhile, Wukong continues to use the backpack, and therefore Tripitaka, as a weapon, hitting more demons.)

Sun Wukong (screaming as he fights): Magic backpack, devastating headbutt!

Tripitaka (trying to speak but holding the bamboo): Mmmph!! Mmmph!

Demon (confused, backing away): Why is the backpack…growling?

Sun Wukong (smiling): It’s not just a backpack. It’s my secret weapon. Didn’t you expect that?

(Finally, Sun Wukong defeats the last demon, and Tripitaka, clearly dizzy from being shaken around throughout the battle, falls out of the backpack as Wukong leans over.)

Tripitaka (rolling on the ground, still holding the bamboo): Mmmph…

Sun Wukong (with a triumphant smile): See, baldy. I told you you were more useful in the backpack.

Moment 2: Tripitaka is jealous!

(They are in a small village where people are thanking the pilgrims for saving them. A young villager approaches Sun Wukong, thanking him profusely for his bravery, while Tripitaka, sitting on Wukong's backpack, looks at the scene with bright eyes, though not with joy.)

Villager (smiling shyly):—Oh, Great Sage, thank you for saving us. Can I do something for you?

Sun Wukong (smiling mockingly while chewing on a twig):—Well, I always accept a good meal

(Tripitaka, on the backpack, makes a small grunt, shifting uncomfortably, which surprises Wukong.)

Sun Wukong (turning his head towards Tripitaka):*—What's wrong with you now? Jealous? Don't tell me that bamboo bothers you more than I thought.

(Tripitaka starts lightly kicking Wukong's back from inside the backpack, clearly frustrated.)

Sun Wukong (smirking):—Really? Ah, I see! You're jealous, aren't you?

(Tripitaka's expression is evident, even with the bamboo in his mouth. His eyes seem to shine with discontent as he looks at the villager, and the kicking intensifies.)

Villager (looking confused):—Are you talking to your backpack...?

Sun Wukong (with a light laugh):—Oh, don't worry about him. He's just my master. He gets a little... territorial sometimes.

(The villager, clearly bewildered, slowly retreats. Meanwhile, Tripitaka continues kicking until Sun Wukong bends down, freeing him from the backpack.)

Sun Wukong (looking at him with a smile):—Are you better now, master? Or should I find you another pillow for your jealousy?

Tripitaka (taking off the bamboo for a moment, muttering):—I'm not jealous...

Sun Wukong (laughing):—Of course not. And I'm a peaceful monk.

Moment 1: Tripitaka and the Bamboo

(Sun Wukong, Bajie and Sandy are resting after a long walk. Tripitaka is sitting on Sun Wukong's backpack, with the bamboo in his mouth. He looks adorable but clearly uncomfortable. As Wukong chews on a stick, Bajie can't help but comment ).

Zhu Bajie (looking at Tripitaka with a mocking smile): —Hey, why does Tripitaka always look like he's grounded? That bamboo looks ridiculous.

Sun Wukong (without looking up, in a calm tone): —It's not for him, it's for us. Or would you rather I bite your ear the next time you lose control?

Zhu Bajie (touching his ear instinctively): —Eh... well... maybe bamboo isn't such a bad idea.(As they talk, Tripitaka tries to speak, but all that comes out is mumbling due to the bamboo in his mouth.)

Tripitaka (mumbling, trying to speak):—Mmmph… mphmph…

Sun Wukong (looking at him, amused)-That? I don't understand anything. Oh, do you want me to take away your bamboo? Well, only if you promise not to bite Bajie.

Tripitaka (waving his hands in despair):—Mmmmph!!!

Sun Wukong: 《Divine Monkey Breathing》

Battle Style: Combines agility and precision, evoking quick and precise movements inspired by a divine ape.

[Techniques]

First Form:《Golden Sky》Sun Wukong moves at breakneck speeds, allowing him to hit the enemy multiple times before they can react.

Second Form:《Ruyi Strike》A powerful strike using her magical staff, which extends and crushes her opponents from long distances.

Third Form:《Celestial Mirror》 A defensive technique where Sun Wukong uses reflections to create illusions of himself, confusing enemies. [Yes, inspired by Muichiro Tokito]

Fourth Form: 《Dawn Awakening》An explosive attack with Wukong's staff. With lightning speed, he delivers multiple strikes in an instant, as if channeling the first glimpse of dawn. The movements are almost impossible to follow, with bursts of light shining as the staff moves.

Fifth Form: 《Midnight Sun》Sun Wukong creates a blinding flash as he launches his staff at high speed, using the light as a distraction before appearing behind his opponent to attack. This move plays with the enemy's perception, making them believe they are in the dark when the real danger comes from the light.

Zhu Bajie: 《Breath of the Divine Boar》 Battle Style: Wild and destructive, Bajie moves unpredictably, charging at enemies with great force.

[Techniques]

First Form: 《Mountain Charge》A direct charge that devastates everything in its path, crushing demons with its brute force.

Second Format: 《Fury Unleashed》Bajie enters a state of frenzy, increasing his speed and strength at the cost of his own stamina.

You know I was talking to a friend who is a big fan of Demon Slayer and I'm just turning him into a fan of Journey to the West, but I showed him the Demon Strike movie, we've been looking for some Chinese mythological creatures; Now Tripitaka transforms into a demon based on Chinese mythological creatures. His demon could be inspired by a creature linked to spirituality, such as a *Nian*, a legendary beast that appears at the Chinese New Year and symbolizes the cycle of time and protection.

Spiritual Abilities Tripitaka maintains a powerful spiritual aura that allows him to resist certain demonic impulses and, although he is a demon, his transformation is not complete. This gives him partial control over his demonic side, making his compassionate nature still exist.

~Strength and Stamina~ Although not physically imposing like other demons, Tripitaka possesses incredible resistance, especially to light or sun-based attacks due to his past spiritual nature

[ Demon Blood Technique]

《Tear of Heaven》 An ability that allows Tripitaka's blood to emit a purifying light, which weakens other demons and can even heal minor wounds. This power reflects his past as a spiritual protector and seeks to balance his dark side with his desire to protect his friends.

Blood painted the walls of that cave while the sound of flesh being torn off could be heard inside. Sun Wukong entered without fear and full of fury.

Sun Wukong—You idiots better hand over the baldy or...—!

Sun Wukong was paralyzed by the sight, along with the other monks who looked at that bizarre image.

The cave filled with corpses of those demon bandits, all dead with deep cuts on their necks that seemed to have been made by a great beast; Meters further into the cave, there was Tripitaka, kneeling on the ground with his clothes somewhat torn, growling with fury and hunger like a hungry beast while his hands and mouth were bathed in blood, devouring the leader of those lower-rank demons, without realizing the presence of the monks.

《Okay, honestly in my mind first I wanted to visualize Tang Sanzang and Sun Wukong as a relationship a little similar to that of Mitsuri Kanroji and Iguro Obanai (I still think about it) but I also imagine it a little like that of Sapphire and Ruby when they are alone; Sun Wukong in this AU, like in the Demon Strike movie, looks like a more proud and less affectionate character when they are in public and I imagine him that way too, to be honest...But I also think that he would have a soft side hidden somewhere.》

JTTW X DEMON SLAYER

I still haven't decided if Tang Sanzang should have Demon Slayer's demon sun weakness.

Maybe it would be light, like first or second degree burns, apart from the fact that I feel that the more meat a demon eats, the stronger he becomes, both physically and regeneratively; That's why I think Tang Sanzang would be weak since he refuses to eat meat (even if he practically has a waterfall of saliva running from his mouth).

I think Sun Wukong becomes more protective of Tan Sanzang (even more than before) by almost always carrying him in the wooden box on his back, or keeping him covered with large layers of the thickest cloth he can find (or steal) to cover him from the sun.

Basically that was his first "meal" after weeks without eating, and between being newly transformed into a demon, being VERY hungry and those demons were the first "living" thing he saw in his "awakening" as a demon... he had a good feast.

Sun Wukong almost mistook Tripitaka for a demon when he went to rescue him, it was a "surprise" to see his master devouring the body of the leader of that gang.
