Whatever you do, don’t imagine Lizzie and Daring getting caught in the rain. Don’t imagine their crowns threatening to slip right off their heads as their hair turns slick with rainwater. Don’t imagine Daring holding his varsity jacket over the two of them as they laugh and run for cover. Don’t imagine them taking shelter in a secluded crevice of the castle. Don’t imagine the two of them wiping away at Lizzie’s makeup, colour running down her face so furiously she can barely see. Whatever you do, don’t imagine them settling into the space, before realizing just how small it is. Don’t imagine the two of them finding themselves pressed up against one another, about the two staring into each other’s eyes, mortified, warm enough to forget that they were soaking in the rain just minutes ago.

Whatever you do, don’t imagine Lizzie and Daring catching each other’s eyes from across the Charmitorium. Don’t imagine Lizzie raising an unimpressed eyebrow at where Headmaster Grimm speaks on the podium. Don’t imagine Daring pretending to nod off, or Lizzie nearly bursting into giggles at the display. Don’t imagine them shooting each other looks, miming out convoluted message after convoluted message, and understanding each other perfectly the whole time. Don’t imagine them catching Dexter or Maddie watching them and remembering, Oh yeah, other people exist, and turning away quickly, zoning back into whatever Headmaster Grimm has been going on about. Whatever you do, don’t imagine them sharing one last, sly smile, a quick wink before moving on.

Whatever you do, don’t imagine Lizzie showing Daring her garden. Don’t imagine Daring setting foot onto the crystal gravel pathway, mouth slightly open, in awe at the sights around them. Don’t imagine him brushing his fingers reverently against the carefully pruned trees and shrubs. Don’t imagine his surprise at this surprise nurturing side to her, how honored he feels that she wanted to share it with him. Don’t imagine Lizzie standing at the start of the pathway, holding herself just a hint self-consciously as she watches him take it all in, fear fading away when he grins at her like she’s the most incredible person to ever exist. Whatever you do, don’t imagine Daring and Lizzie lying in the blue-green grass together, looking at the clouds and talking about everything and nothing all at once. Don’t imagine Daring hesitating slightly before reaching over and taking Lizzie’s hand. Don’t imagine Lizzie lacing their fingers together like it’s nothing. Don’t imagine the two acting like the act is nothing while they both go feral on the inside.

The Red Queen’s Champion

The context of this piece may not make a ton sense to those who haven’t read my fic and understand Briar and Lizzie’s dynamic, but in general I freaking love this ship and I don’t see it very often ❤️

In A Legacy of Brambles and Thorns, Wonderland is completely separated from Ever After, with vastly different social norms and a powerful system of dual monarchies between the Red and White Queens keeping the peace. Lizzie, when away from home, is basically an extension of the Red Court, meaning she has as much power as her mother while abroad (basically she can have you arrested and beheaded even when outside Wonderland if shes wronged in some way).

Wonderlandians have political immunity, lest Ever After want to go to war with the Red Court (which absolutely no one wants, not even Queen Snow White). Lizzie has a particular soft spot for Briar, and has gifted her with a token (making her part of the Red Court), but has also made her a Champion on her behalf, a very elite title which has yet to actually be defined plot wise (no spoilers).

As much as I love Bribelle as a ship, this one has grown on me a lot and I may decide to explore them more in-story, but I haven’t decided yet 😚

LIZZIE HEARTS

Teacup, pencils, pen, gloves, wallet with a pic of kitty’s eye, sewing kit, lollipops, card with her mom on it. A perfume holder with 4 scents, “7:30”, “Loose change” “lick” and “Starshaped” what do you think they smell like ????? Idk. The clam’s pearls are lotion. A croquet ball. The colorful book is for school work. The red book is for fashion designs. The two pens next to it are what she uses to write they’re from wonderland. With a small clay ink container(not from wonderland.) Vodka shaped like an atomically correct heart. On the far left are cards her mother made for her with pieces of advice and the one on the top says “it is better to be gloved than bearded and better to be feareded than loved.” Which is cannon from “a wonderland world.”

Makeup: the two gold vials are lip stains in dark red and dark burgundy. We have a black mascara with a rabbit on it. And a dark brown lip liner with the Cheshire Cat ontop. A maroon blush with a clock with mushrooms and a bunny on it. Her brushes are chess pieces. And her comb is made out of bone and is a heart, her eyeshadow and foundation are basically like paint. With names like rubber duck, old tooth, fresh paint, scab, cirrus, storm, oz, royal tears, tea bag, tranquil, lavender dust, hamster holiday, berry, gem, feline, pig kiss, blushy widow. All makeup is custom made for Lizzie, she made the pallet herself though.

Her phone with a white rabbit sticker, strawberry, grey gloves, star, lips, lady bug, heart, a paper that says “home is not what you miss but the people there.” And a red bow with a gold chain.

This genuinely took 12 hours to draw and then I went to bed at 4 am and woke up at 4 pm…. PLEASE enjoy this has been my life for 24 hours.
