After two years since Pokemon Go launched, trading has officially arrived. Here's details of this new update. You can add friends globally by sending them your friend code to each other. You can connect to facebook, text, email, etc.. and post your code to share which is easy. Copy your code first, then paste and share. Perks; you can send gifts that contain random items from Pokeballs to berries. You obtain these gifts though poke stops randomly. You can only keep five gifts at a time send one each a day to friends. For example, you obtain give gifts and have five friends. You can send each friend one gift all in a day. Each person can only send one gift at a time. You, yourself can recieve multiple gifts from friends daily. Further more, there is a purpose for gifts. Sending an and receiving gifts boost your friend points. The more friend points gained, more points added to trading and trainer points. With that said, trading has been introduce and it's what everyone has been looking forward to. Firstly, you can only trade with friends within 100 km. Unlike gifts, where there're no restrictions, trading is limited. If you want to trade a special or legendary Pokemon, stardust points need to be 100,000+ . Legendary trades can vary. However basic trading is simple and can build your friend points up. Most likely in the future there will be updates to the friend interactions. Next step are battles with trainers, which we all are anticipating. Lastly, go out there and make trainer friends. Never know when you need each other for future raids.
