With all the running around yesterday, I completely forgot to post about my promotion pinning ceremony. It’s been a few months since I was selected for promotion to COL, but my military orders finally came through, so my CG was happy to host a quasi impromptu event. 😊 Now I’m looking forward to some of that back pay!! On a serious note, I’m honored and privileged the Army trusts me with greater responsibility. In my military career, particularly these last 18+ as an officer, I was blessed with phenomenal mentors, both officers and NCOs who have guided and coached me to succeed, and I am forever grateful! I owe this honor to them. What a great day it is to be a soldier in the U.S. Army! The military just selected me for promotion to COL/O-6. I am so excited!! Keep your fingers crossed that I get my promotion pinning ceremony later this month, or perhaps early next month, at the latest.
