Billy teleported out to them, the moment he got the text. America might be bulletproof, but apparently there were somethings that could get to her. “What happened?” he asked, jaw slack. Okay, not really important, he knew why he was there.
Billy knelt down next to the two girls, whisps of blue magic flaring from his fingertips. “IwanthertohealIwanthertohealIwanthertoheal~”
(Puddle of blood) "I told you to stop looking for them." Faina swore, a litany of Russian curses dripping from her tongue as she ripped part of her shirt to make a bandage. She didn't trust the hospitals. She needed a healer.
America tried to complain but it came out like a whine as Faina pressed the cloth against the wound. Fuck that hurt, but her mind was too fuzzy for her to properly say so, or reassure her girlfriend. All she could do was try not to pass out for now.

"I know," Billy said. His hand curled in Teddy's shirt as he just sank into the embrace. "I freaked out. All I could think about was getting away, I didn't know where it was coming from and I didn't want to lead them home. They already knew where my parents were..."
"I need your help. And your word that you will speak of this to no one."
Faina stood in her doorway looking the shapeshifter up and down warily. “Why…?”

Billy curled into Teddy's embrace as he lifted them up into the air. Normally flying didn't bother him, but right now he was fighting the urge to dry heave.
"Short range power dampener," he murmured. "Couldnt port from home... So I started walking trying to get away. I was followed."
He leaned his head on Teddy's chest, eyes sliding shut.
"I need your help. And your word that you will speak of this to no one."
Faina stood in her doorway looking the shapeshifter up and down warily. “Why…?”

Billy sank forward against Teddy's chest, gasping for a few full breaths which he hadn't been able to take since he had been collared. "I think I can get us outside," he said. He felt too weak to get them much further than that.
There were footsteps approaching, time was closing in. If there were any short range power dampeners they were screwed.
"IwanttobeoutsideIwanttobeoutsideIwanttobeoutside--"
"I need your help. And your word that you will speak of this to no one."

Relief welled in his chest as the door fell away revealing Teddy in the hallway, dampness welling in his eyes. It was going to be okay, now. Seeing his fiance was all the reassurance he needed as Teddy set to work freeing him from the chains.
His arms felt heavy, lead-like as they fell to his sides. It took all the strength he could muster, to bring one up enough to tap the back of the collar, a seam present in the metal there.
"I need your help. And your word that you will speak of this to no one."

Billy held his breath as he listened to the footsteps approaching. Teddy was so close, he just waited until he could hear Teddy's footsteps directly in front of the door. He thrashed against his chains.
I'm here, I'm here.
His wrists were bleeding now with the effort, but he needed him to just find the right door. Please.
"I need your help. And your word that you will speak of this to no one."

In the darkness, Billy lay limply, arms chained to the wall, wrists rubbed raw from the cuffs. He couldn't tell how much time had passed. It might have only been a day or two, he hadn't been fed since his arrival, and though he was hungry and weak, he still felt far from broken--like he might have some fight left in him.
That is if he could get this damned collar off his neck, covering his mouth. He couldn't make any sound whatsoever, which meant all his magic had been cut off. He really needed to study more, harder, which he would when he got out of here.
If he got out of here.
Down the hall, Billy could hear the faint footfall of someone approaching. Shit. Were they coming for him again? He held his breath, waiting until...
Wait...
The whistling... Teddy.
He let out a small, muffled sound, jerking against the change. Oh god, Teddy. Please. Please hear me.
"I need your help. And your word that you will speak of this to no one."

"I still think I should have the fire department on stand by, you know, just in case." Billy's teasing was good natured. And while he was wary about some of Teddy's cooking, he could tell from the effort he was putting into this just how important it was to him. "Do you need me to do anything?" He offered.
(Williamwiccankaplan) “This is a disaster waiting to happen.”
"That hurts, Bee. That hurts a lot." Teddy pressed a hand to his chest in mock pain before going back to preparing the ground beef. Normally, he would agree. If there was one thing Teddy Altman could not do, it was cook. Except for when it was his mother’s homemade lasagna recipe. That he could cook.
"Just because you’ve never seen me make it before, doesn’t mean I can’t cook it.

I’m posting this again, in hopes that I can get some reblogs this time. My out of pocket costs are going to be more and I’m going to be out of work longer than I thought I was going to be.
For those of you who don’t know, I work in sales, and while I do have a base pay, it’s below minimum wage so most of my money comes from commission. Needless to say, I can’t make commission if I’m not actually at the job. I work at a gym, so you’d think that they care about health, right? They don’t. I am only eligible for seven paid days off this year that includes the times I’ve been too sick to work, so let’s just say I’m very concerned about being able to make rent, help my parents pay my coinsurance, etcetera.
I only have a few days left at work, and it is among the slowest months of the year for gym sales. So please, if you can reblog, if you can donate, I’d love it so much. Thanks tumblr.

Billy's hands moved instinctively to cover Teddy's with his own. They had fought so much lately, foolish things, letting too many others get in the way. That was the reason they needed this, to forget about everyone and everything else and just be them, sort everything out, and remember why they'd chosen each other over everyone else in the world.
"I promise." He took Teddy's hands and kissed the knuckles lightly.
Billy honked the Zipcar's horn as he pulled up in front of their apartment building. Sure they could have teleported out to the camp grounds, but the whole point of this trip was to spend more time together, to connect, so driving it was.
He couldn’t stop the laugh when he heard the honk. Ignoring the siutcase on the bed, Teddy walked over to the window and poked his head out. “It’s not nice to honk at the buildings you know!” He was teasing of course, but if it brought a smile to Billy’s face then it was worth it.

Ask anyone, I don’t like taking money from other people beyond mooching a meal off my awesome roommate. I like to be as self-sufficient as possible. But I find myself approaching my surgery date with more than just the procedure on my mind.
My doctors suspect that I have, and are performing surgery to diagnose and remove any lesions from, endometriosis. This has been an eight year battle with mystery pains that have stopped me from working and nearly cost me several jobs.
Right now, I work as a salesperson and the majority of my pay comes from sales. My company only gives me 7 paid days off a year—my surgery will keep me out several days and I have already used at least two from being ill and one so that I could spend Thanksgiving with my family. Not only that, but my paid time off will be issued at my sub-minimum wage rate of $6/hr. (Which they are allowed to pay me because I earn commission.)
Luckily I am insured and have my parents helping with the out of pocket costs of the surgery, but I do depend on my commission to pay my rent and my other bills. So if anyone can pitch in a few dollars or even a reblog I would be so grateful. If you can’t, then a reblog would be loved

Billy grinned, feeling great for the first time that he could remember. "I did it for us," he said, lacing his fingers with Teddy's. "I know it's been rough lately, but this? Us? There's nothing more important. I promise."  He rested his hands on top of Teddy's. "And I lost sight of that for a while..."

Billy circled around to Teddy's side of the car, threading his arms around his neck. The peaceful look on Teddy's face had a rush of relief flowing through him. "Glad you like it," he said, pressing a kiss to his lips. He patted his shoulders. "What do you think about getting our campsite set up and going for a walk?"
