Ok I'd forgotten what luffys drawing looked like until I saw this post. But like, look, guys, it's actually pretty accurate! Tall swooshy hair, sunglasses(arguably), big forearm/hands, no pants, same(ish) nose, really the only wrong part is that his shirt isn't open and he's not 5 meters tall.
did you guys know that franky is related to an octopus?
Idk if other ppl will flame me for this or not, but I feel like they wussed out when they made it so sanji didn't hit the girl in wano, and revealed it was queen. It would have been so much better if it was sanji in my opinion. Think of the spiral it would have set off in him. It would be such a great opportunity for character growth, because that's one of his core personal rules. Redemption is a thing characters can do, and shit like that can be devastating but set up amazing personal growth and character development. And like, the crew would help him through it, usopp is no stranger to self hatred and depression. Zoro would actually probably be really helpful too. A lot of the crew has had moments like that before where it's such a huge moment of guilt/shame/failure feelings and it always leads to huge growth and a stronger connection to the crew. Usopp in water seven, zoro beat by mihawk, luffy with ace etc etc. Its not like it would be sanji being a malicious shitty person, it was clear in that moment he was dealing with what seemed like psychosis. But like, it could have been such a defining moment that would spur on character growth and I felt kinda robbed when I first watched that tbh.
No literally this is exactly what I was daydreaming about last week no joke. There are 0 ways usopp would let that happen. I can't handle sanji actually losing his humanity tho so it has to come back some how or something pls
Sanji losing all humanity within him and Zoro knowing he has to kill him because they made a promise but Usopp refusing to let him do it and it's Water 7 all over again except that this is somehow even worse
The more I think about that water 7 scene, the more I feel so thankful for sanji kicking luffy in the face. Imagine if that hadn't happened? Luffy would have said something he would intensly regret, usopp probably wouldn't have come back, or at least it would be less likely. And usopp would have felt so alone and ganged up on in that situation. He was looking around for explanation and was desperate to understand, and no one was offering him one. It would be really easy for usopp (or anyone really) to be in that situation and take everyone's silence as them agreeing with luffy rather than them trying to trust the captain handle the situation. And for someone who's already feeling rejected/abandoned/confused/heartbroken/insecure, it would be easy to interpret it as no one wanting you around anymore. Easy for that anxiety to dig it's claws in to convince you everyone hates you now. Thank fuck sanji kicked him, because it not only shows usopp his anger towards luffys emotionally charged responses, but it also promoted emotional reactions from the rest of the crew. At the very least it made usopp aware that it was an upsetting situation for everyone.
I think we don't appreciate pre-ts Usopp because people keep thinking with their dicks. I know his boobs are awesome after the time skip, but look at this silly little guy. Love of my life.
