SSE PROMOTE YOUR MUSIC ARTISTS CHALLENGE
Aka: started looking through the playlists the SSO Spotify has made, found some stuff.
This will mainly be focused on artists that do not appear in any of SSO listed albums/EP’s.
Chaos is a self-taught music artist who has made instrumentals for locations in the game (Life in Jorvik album), an instrumental for a certain event I won’t spoil (When the Sun Fades), and full instrumental themes for the Dark Riders and Mr. Sands (Servants of Garnok album).
Humming Bird is an artist that has made Lo-Fi songs under Star Stable’s label.
As is ShyLight.
All of these songs seem to mostly have been made for SSO’s location atmosphere playlists.
SSE seems to want to try to pretend The Miscreants never existed (WHY are they not credited on In it to Win It - Remix?) so go support Browsing Collection, the band that was behind The Miscreants!
Folk’Avant has also recently released full instrumentals of the songs they made (Jorvik Lullaby, Valedale Hymn, The Light Ride).
The people who made songs for the disco are too many to list here directly, but can be found in this playlist, go show them support as well!

3D printed frame, adjustable endstops and tension etc. Now using Pi Pico with Circuitpython, emulates mouse and keyboard. Full analog movement, joystick module needs better mounting, but maybe next revision has something new!

Sidenote am I the only person who isn't elated that the main story is ""ending""?
#sso#ssoblr#sso main story#it feels so abrupt#like we were just starting to pick up the pace again#for a couple of years nothing of importance seemed to be happening in the main story#and now that there is again#its all coming to an end#its really dissapointing#and after this i really dont think that sse will be motivated to start a new main story after this#considering it took them all these years to finish this one#they probably wouldn't want to put themselves in the same situation they just got themselves out of#sorry for going off on one#i just cant see sse creating any more substantial questlines after this#which is sad

I thought it’d be a lot funnier if Darko dropped us off at Cape Sorrow in a speedboat rather than anything magical lmfao

On Darko's cane
I wanted to share this information i found while binging Bloodborne lore videos.

While it's true that the cane was a popular accessory for wealthy gentlemen of Victorian England it didn't just pop up overnight. We have to understand the historical origin of this phenomenon. Nearly 400 years ago a specific group within Britain's elite began to carry the cane as a status symbol. It was physicians. The trend began in France where men of more scholarly trades stopped carrying a sword and instead touted the handheld cane to signify masculinity and intellectual sophistication. In Great Britain however, the cane was synonymous with physicians much like today the white coat or stethoscope is a symbolic of the profession. As the royal college of physicians of London noted in a 2014 article "From at least the beginning of the 17th century to the end of the 19th, physicians were thought of as inseparable from another accoutrement: their canes." 19th century author John Cordy Jeafferson described the ubiquity of canes within the medical profession of the 16 and 1700s. In his 1861 publication A book about doctors Jeafferson writes, "No doctor of medicine presumed to pay a professional visit, or even to be seen in public, without this mystic wand ..... It was an instrument of which ..... every prudent aspirant to medical practice was provided." Although the cane was largely symbolic of intellectualism and later medicine it wasn't without it's practical applications. Canes were often crafted with a hollow shaft or a small compartment at the handle, which commonly held pungent vinegar or a cordial that a physician could inhale or drink in hopes it would protect them from contracting whatever illness was plaguing his patient. Because many early doctors were quacks who touted bogus cures for any number of ailments, the cane sniffing physician was lampooned in the satirical etchings of 18th century artists, including Thomas Rollinson and William Hogarth. While canes were emblematic of 1700 medicine they were previously employed by a special segment of the medical fraternity of the 16th century: the plague doctors. These physicians who treated the sick in the larger cities of Europe during outbreaks of the bubonic plague carried short wands or canes that allowed them to poke and prod patients without making direct contact. Much like later doctors did with the aromatics hidden in the compartments in their canes, plaque doctors stuffed their beak-like masks with herbs to help philter misamic air that was believed to carry disease. --Charred Thermos
I have thoughts about this.
Firstly, I don't think Darko uses the cane because he's disabled. I suppose it was the devs choice to give him a wand that was not a wand. I believe it may have been inspired by Lucious Malfoy's cane from Harry Potter, as the devs have drawn inspiration from that property before.
Secondly, I like to pretend that MAYBE the devs knew about the symbolism of canes to physicians, and therefore chose to give Darko one, hinting at his scientific and scholarly nature, much of which we're not privy to in the game.
Thirdly, I like to think Darko chose the cane for himself because he knows about the symbolism, and thought it would be a big brain moment decision. Feeling so smug about the fact that nobody realizes.

These mc dialogue options have always been completely unsuitable to me, but the ones in the last quest don't suit me at all.
And apart from that, each option is the same, just written slightly differently. Give me 3 (or more) extremely different dialogue choices, PLEASE!
Why can't I say I'm glad Darko is back? Hmm? "NO! A greater evil, because now Darko has returned!" Not at all, stop slandering my boy.
