“You're probably right. I was hoping to get them done ahead of time but I shouldn't rush things. Oh um... I'm Willow.”
"Then perhaps you should worry about your assignments then Quidditch being canceled."

“Well then you're probably excited about the snow seeing as Care of Magical Creatures will likely be cancelled. I only hope we don't have too much reading to do instead. I have too many other assignments to catch up on.”
Tumblr media
“Obviously…..”
I used to play Quidditch, but I decided it wasn’t for me.

“I take it you're not a big Quidditch fan then?”
Tumblr media
"How unfortunate."
He could care less about Quidditch.

“I can't argue with you there. Ever since our Captain graduated the team's fallen apart. They don't stand a chance, but we won't even be able to see the game if it snows.”
Tumblr media
"Like Ravenclaw would win against Slytherin anyways."

Willow ignored his threats. The wand was down, that meant he wasn't going to throw some hex her way. Instead she regarded him carefully. “Are you um... alright?” she asked gesturing towards him. “You seem er.. unhappy?”

“There's no reason to hex someone over an honest mistake,” she frowned deeply, eyes darting between his wand and his face. “I haven't done anything to you.”

Willow hadn't anticipated anyone approaching her. She hadn't even realized she had spoken aloud until the young blond man approached her and so when she looked up at him like a deer in headlights, it took her brain a second and a half to catch up. zShe didn't find him haughty or was offending in the slightest, in fact quite the opposite. She was thankful that someone had heard her confused and tried to assist her in in her struggle to understand the strange text.
She had recognized the masti from mastication, so that wasn't new and fibrillation made sense, but that didn't make sense in the context, or rather there wasn't much context to go on. “It says that the spell will assist in mastifribulation, so uncontrolled chewing? Mouth spasms?” she offered in a soft voice, looking up at the boy again brows furrowed.  Then Willow looked back down at the page, trying to find where the line of text was again. When she spotted it, she pointed it out, turning the book so he could look, if he wanted. He seemed intelligent enough from his demeanor, his knowledge of Latin, but he wasn't a Ravenclaw. Willow knew that much.

He generally had a policy of not bothering other students in the library, to follow the golden rule, but she was speaking aloud to herself, and she did seem in need of help, and he sat a table over for a moment before deciding he’d remain distracted by her and unable to finish his studying until her particular problem was resolved. So, standing quietly and stepping over, pausing a modest distance from her, he repeated, in a soft, library-conscious tone,              “… Mastifribulation?”              Truthfully, he didn’t recognize the word either, but he’d had endless Latin lessons as a child, and the parts of the word sounded vaguely familiar. The least he could do was make a fool of himself, though he dearly hoped she wouldn’t be offended by his sudden appearance, or think him haughty.              “Masti could mean ‘of the mouth,’ as in mastication. Fribulate…” His brow furrowed lightly. “Fibrill has something to do with fibers. Fibrillation is generally a medical term, used to describe uncontrolled spasms, usually in the heart. …I don’t know if that helps.” For a moment, he looked almost embarrassed, hands pushed into the pockets of his dark, pressed pants, before he smoothed his features back into a practiced nonchalance.

“Mastifribulation? That’s not a word,” Willow muttered to herself, staring at her book with a confused look on her face, brows furrowed. She hadn’t the slightest idea what it meant, and she was fairly certain the author was making it up, but knowing that it wasn’t a real word did not help her in understanding the content. She paused, tapping her book on the table a few times, lost in thought before repeating it again, not any less confused this time than the last.
