So, I was just happily floating through my day and then someone @toffeeinhun was like "you remember that post comparing inhun's hands pressing the button?" And I was like

OKAY, SIR 👀

Because now it's all I can think about (again)... so here's more hand gooning except with more of a season 3 flavour.

The guards handcuff Gi-hun to the bedpost so he can’t interfere while everyone else is voting. Gi-hun doesn't even have the heart to watch the numbers tick up, but in the end he still needs to vote or the process won't be "fair." Except, Gi-hun refuses- he's been through so much already and he's just done. So, In-ho has to come all the way down from the control room to help him vote.

In-ho drags Gi-hun up to the podium, presses him against it, and whispers in his ear. "Don't be difficult, Gi-hun."

Gi-hun manages to look up and somehow, against all probability, even with all the losses the Xs took, the vote is tied. In-ho takes Gi-hun's shaking hands in his, covering them completely. He takes his time, gently, almost reverently, caressing over every callous and every scar before he lifts Gi-hun's hand. When In-ho's hand finally presses Gi-hun's against the button, it lights up blue.

Gi-hun feels like the type of chauffeur who would be way too friendly and chatty. Like you get into your uber/taxi/lyft etc. and you want to stare at your phone, but they talk your ear off and tell you their whole life story instead.

In-ho usually takes his fancy shmancy limo for Games business, but one day for whatever reason he needs to hire a town car, and his driver will not Shut The Hell Up. In-ho’s already seen pictures of this guy’s daughter, listened to his two failed restaurants, and heard more than he ever wanted to about SNU graduate Cho Sang-woo.

In-ho is ecstatic to slam the door and get the heck out of there. Except, I feel like Gi-hun is also the type of chauffeur to hassle clients who don’t tip him and In-ho sure as hell doesn’t. So Gi-hun goes chasing him down because who does this guy think he is, ripping Gi-hun off after he provided such pleasant driving commentary!? And that’s how Gi-hun stumbles into a room filled with masked men in pink jumpsuits.

In-ho: I'd kill someone if you asked me to.

Gi-hun: I'm pretty sure you'd kill someone even if I didn't ask you to.

Dae-ho: I dare you-

In-ho: Gi-hun is not allowed to accept dares anymore.

Dae-ho: Why not?

Gi-hun: "I have no regard for my own or others personal safety", as some would say.

Okay guys I was genuinely crashing out all day because of this. What the fuck is happening. He did NOT just say casually say this like that.

I can’t with all the newest interviews about Gihun and Inho’s dynamic, it makes me lose my mind.

Ljj confirming that they grew very close and familiar with each other as players, Lbh saying that Inho feels a waver of heart and attachment to Gihun and NOW THIS.

we always talk about inhos obsession with gihun but what about ilnams?

ilnam chose him as his favorite since day one. he literally stalked him and manufactured an “accidental” meetup just so gihun would come back to the games. why?! what is about this man that makes the most important game runners so obsessed??

inho just followed in his footsteps. he ain’t the original 🙄

but inho is much worse of course. you cant tell me he didn’t plan for gihun to join the games.

either way its weird how fascinated both of them were with gihun

i really truly love ljj’s acting in the exclusive clip. i think what really got to me aside from his absolutely heart wrenching voice is actually the lack of it.

by that i mean that just before he says, “you won,” there’s a split second where his sob is completely silent. like, he literally doesn’t even breathe in for a second despite his lungs being empty of air and i just find that such a wonderful little detail that compliments the whole scene super well. it truly shows gihun’s despair perfectly.
