My boyfriend and I are seperated by the travel ban. Times have been though, but we both know we're tied to each by a single thread of gold.

My boyfriend's parents aren't doing so well. His mom has been sick for a long time now and probably won't see the end of the pandemic. Yesterday his dad called to say he has lung cancer and it's bad. Real bad. Both of his parents are dying real quick.

He's an Australian citizen. I'm from The Netherlands. It's possible to get into Australia with an exemption when you are an immediate family member of an Australian citizen. The system is rigged and it's more than a lottery than anything else - different immigration lawyers have told me this. We have lived together for over a year. Own a van together and travelled together. It doesn't matter.

Another possibility to enter Australia is being a celebrity. So many celebrities have gone to Australia over the past year to escape the pandemic - not for necessary travel at all. Here's where I need your help. I know it almost sounds like a joke but I really need your help to enter Australia. You are my last and only hope to be with my partner and support him. To be there for him and his family and run errands, help them around the house and lighten up the mood when the timing is right. I don't need to meet you. I will spend the rest of my life paying you back if that is what it takes, but I really need someone with a status to help me support my partner in this absolute crazy time.

Hi Taylor!

Since you said you’d love to know about the most dedicated fans, I think you’d love to hear about GetTaylorOnAir! It’s a Dutch Swiftie community that has been around for almost 10 years now (hence the name, it started when we still had to fight for radio plays!) and it’s just so wonderful 💕

We host regular meetups where we hang out and play songs on guitar and public pianos and record music videos. 4th of July parties are also part of the deal despite us not being in the US. But recently, we’ve also started hosting Swift Camp! We just had our 3rd annual one and it’s several days of you-themed games (such as song pictionary and quizzes), lip sync battles and even escape rooms all created from scratch, as well as actual medals for the teams!

GTOA has given all of us so many wonderful friends we would have never met if it weren’t for you and we’re so incredibly grateful for that 💖💖💖

First of all.. I’ve never done this before so sorry for the mess of words you’re about to read.

You have been in my life for almost 10 years now, wow! I discovered you when I was dating my first boyfriend and I found a song called ‘Hey Stephen’ which I related to because well.. Guess what the name of the guy I was dating was…? ;)

I could talk for hours about how your songs have helped me through so many things about that, but I’m not gonna talk about that.. in my monologue. 

After you came to The Netherlands for the Speak Now tour I decided that I could never ever miss another one of your tours. I’ve been to many concerts and even until today I’ve never seen anything like it!! So I decided to fly to London for the RED tour. Completely on my own, I slept at the airport after the show because I was too broke to actually book a room (it was a fun experience after all, don’t you worry about me ;)). For the 1989 tour you came back to The Netherlands, but because one concert wasn’t enough I did a little road trip with my sister to Cologne, Germany to attend another one of your shows.

After 1989 you took some time to yourself and I could totally live with that… until all of sudden my life started to fall apart. I won’t share too many details but my ex broke up with me. Completely out of nowhere and without any explanation. We owned a house together. He has been my best friend for my whole life and all of sudden he didn’t want to be in my life anymore (seriously, we never speak anymore). In the same hour he broke up with me, you announced you’re new album! I had something to hold on to again: YOU! Seriously, I don’t know how I would’ve survived the past year without you being there. 

Of course one downfall wasn’t enough, so the day before reputation dropped my best friend (who promised to help me built up my life again) dumped me without any reason. I was even more devestated, but your new album was there to pick me up. I really don’t know HOW this even COULD happen but at the two worst days in my life you decided to show up somehow and it was everything I needed. Thank you so much!!

After months of misery and me trying to get my life back together, I decided that I wasn’t going to be happy by keeping to live in my small hometown. I already booked tickets for your four shows in Dublin and London (I had the best tour experience ever thanks to so many of my swiftie friends!!). You even decided to bring out my other idol; Robbie Williams!! Absolutely lost it right at that moment and it will be remembered as one of the best days of my life.  After those shows were done I booked a one way ticket to the other side of the world: Australia. 

I’m gonna be honest. It’s going somewhat better but it’s still hard. That includes travelling the world. Yet I’m trying to stay positive every single day. Australia also gives me the opportunity to see you perform live a couple more times! I will attend your shows in Sydney and Brisbane and couldn’t be more excited!

Thank you Taylor for making me so happy. I hope one day I will be able to thank you in person. But for now, I’ll wave to you from the crowds.
