What do you think of the new idol groups of Love Live? (Aqours and the Nijigasaki School idol club specifically since we don't know much about Liella right now.)

I like Aquors. I kept up with the anime when it was coming out, and I love Mari. But, I don’t think the other girls have as interesting dynamics as muse so it’s less fun to make headcanons lol. Like theyre all very sweet and silly but that’s not enough substance. I don’t know much about Nijigasaki. I tried to play all stars but I didn’t like that it wasn’t skill-based gameplay. Haven’t watched the anime.

What a wonderful Halloween themed art for this master-dicipline (or father-son) duo! I almost thought this is official art. Amazing artstyle and coloring as usual, I admit it's TOP NOTCH! 👏😳👍💯 I love how you draw Garou in demon costume here, great shoutout for his monster form 😉👌 Also that pumpkin looked like him, too 🎃👀✨ It's always nice to find someone draw Garou with Bang! I admit to being an OPM fanatic, but things do drop out of my mind.  Something about the way Genos was deflecting the Psykos-Orochi beams kept bothering me.

The relinquishing of suffering and its consequences.

When one becomes a monster in OPM, they lose all semblance of what makes them human: their suffering. It’s essentially why Garou was unable to come into fruition, as it would require him to strip himself of everything that made him human in the first place. When we suffer, we learn and we build ourselves from our scars. Whether, in the example of Garou, we stop fighting someone because we’re actively scaring them like our bullies:

Or we dissolve into the very thing we despise.

Man, you’re so cool Phoenix man- making a literal child cry like that 🙄

It’s also why we see scenes where Saitama was actively harassed at school and how parallel it is to Garou’s bullying. Despite having two very different motivations, Saitama never became someone who wanted to see the world turn opposite of its axis. He suffered—he’s still suffering—but that suffering is the scaffold for his character.

When it comes to Garou, he just wants to teach bullies a lesson and a mean one at that. Saitama will just passively take a beating (all for a sale too), but Garou fights tooth and nail. He gets BRUTALIZED and he suffers immensely from it. It’s certainly not to the extent of Saitama who just feels emotional suffering, but it amplifies his strength and—therefore—breaks his limiter.

Ow.

So, what does breaking a limiter really implies? Why would the likes of Zombieman desire it exactly? You might think it’s the numb sensation that proceeds with being beaten down, but it’s not that.

It’s the suffering itself.

To suffer, to be hollowed out and still survive its impact, is the real source of breaking a limiter. ZM’s pain tolerance is put to the test in Ch. 130 and he isn’t just passively taking whatever Genus is dishing out. One could argue that ZM’s limiter is already at its teetering point, but I think that glimpse we saw in just that single panel was just the tip of the iceberg.

Here’s to hoping he gets that milkshake with Child Emperor soon!

I’ve always felt their relationship being one-sided and even straight up awkward at times. Let’s hope Yams doesn’t find a way to bs this into the story.  

My thoughts on Eren x Mikasa

I don't like EreMika. It just doesn't work. The idea that Eren holds "secret feelings" for Mikasa is one of the biggest bullshits I have ever heard. If anything Eren shows more love for Jean over Mikasa. I would find Jean and Eren getting together more believable than Eren and Mikasa. Armin and Eren have more chemistry than Eren and Mikasa. Heck, even Eren and Levi have more chemistry. Forget love I doubt he even sees her as a friend at times. The "I'll wrap that around you as many times as you want." is something that a lot of people bring up as a sign of Eren's love but the delivery of the dialogue and just Eren's facial expressions make it sound extremely platonic.

(Yeah, that's the face of someone who truly loves you! It's definitely NOT the face of someone who just wants to kill alL tHe TiTans Each anD evErY oNe of TheM. I swear there has to be a compilation of Eren saying that over and over again somewhere on Youtube.)

If Isayama wants us to believe that Eren does have feelings for Mikasa then he is not doing a very good job. I honestly thought that Eren was genuine when he said that he hated Mikasa in chapter 112. If it turns out that he was telling the truth I wouldn't have a very hard time agreeing. Mikasa's feelings for Eren don't come off as love it comes off as an obsession, not a good one at that.

Are there good EreMika moments? Most definitely. The entire Mikasa OVA was gorgeous but, again, it's completely one-sided. We only see Mikasa wanting to protect Eren. Nothing returned from Eren.

I don't hate Mikasa as a character I do think she can be charming but I cannot get behind EreMika and if it becomes canon it wouldn't make a lot of sense.
