Baldur's Gate 3 Appropriates Sacred Indigenous Tattoos

I was so disappointed to boot up the character creation for Baldur's Gate 3's full release, only to see they added tattoo designs that are very clearly copying from sacred tattooing practices of the Inuit and the Māori.

Please do not use these tattoos. Larian should never have included these designs. I personally plan on modding them out of the game at the first opportunity.

There are tons of people saying this made them homophobic and calling him a pedophile rapist because he says in the video he has fantasies of being taken to a wealthy person's island as a younger version of himself where he is forced to obey. This is a VERY common fantasy

Most of the time people that have these fantasies are survivors of abuse. Regardless, people are saying horrible things about this man because of what he does with his consenting partner behind closed doors.

The idea that someone's fantasies or what art they like is an indicator they are a dangerous predator is fearmongering and it specifically targets queer people. The "exposing" of people for their sexuality is a tool of the right to smear someone's name as a sexual deviant, and therefore, someone worthy of punishment and exile. There is nothing leftist about this behavior. If you participate in this kind of "exposing" of "pedophiles" you need to reexamine who you're benefiting and what kind of mentality you're falling into.

Tbh I've never really liked owlvid they're really nasty towards anyone they dislike and their followers are obsessed with ratting on whoever the current target is. And they keep saying "oh I'm not stalking [x], my followers just keep telling me about them" like then stop answering the asks about them! You're blatantly encouraging this behavior by continuing to answer asks about it!

100% agree. You're still responsible even if you're not doing it yourself. And it means those followers are only going to relay certain things to paint the other person in the worst light possible. All of them just need to spend that time on hobbies because this has gotten to the level of obsessive behavior even if owl just brushes it off as ~internet drama~ or ~just having an opinion~

this post reminded me of this ~scenario~ that happens to me and other fat folks quite often! thin folks that are our friends, support fat folks, but haven’t quite had the time or chance or willingness to unlearn fatphobic ideas in relation to themselves. we know you still think of fatness as inherently unhealthy and unattractive, work on it ♥

Worst thing about hazbin hotel and helluva boss is we all have like one friend or mutual or acquaintance who loves it and you gotta be kinda nice about it while the show is just begging to be ripped to fucking shreds for how awful it is

We have a new manager at work. The young gay guy has been replaced with a straight white middle-aged cisman who wouldn’t tick a single diversity box but he’s already done several things to improve the sorely-lacking communication between management and staff and implemented several anti-theft measures to cut down on our massive losses and he’s only been here a couple of weeks. This is what happens when you hire someone competent instead of someone who makes your company look woke.
