The McBride Sisters and their Sparkles from Hawke's Bay New Zealand Bryan and I had tasted the Sparkling Brut Rose 2017 from the McBride Sisters collection. It's a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. It's a highly rated sparkling wine. Average price $21.99. This vintage rates better than any other year for this wine. The color was a light to medium orange. The the flesh of pink salmon Aromatics: Yeasty notes, like the taste of, Irish soda bread, textured earthy and nutty cheeses, then came the fruit smells. Dry apple cider , rose petal, and notes of fern and pine needles. From the coastline interacting with the forest trees. Taste : Citrusy with tangerine peel, dried apricot, orange blossoms & rose petals. Second taste transcending across the palate were toast and roasted almonds and hazelnuts. Complex layers of dehydrated strawberries laced with dried lavender flowers. Finish: A zesty & spiced finish with a clean crisp acidity. 👏 to Robin & Andrea...Vintners & sisters!
